I grew up with Final Fantasy games and they really shaped my childhood, most of my childhood nostalgia revolves around Final Fantasy games and role-playing as the characters with childhood friends. If I wasn't playing one of the console games I'd be LARPing outside or on AIM with a few childhood friends. (At the time I didn't know what I was doing was LARPing haha)

I still enjoy the series as an adult!
Right now I'm working on beating Final Fantasy Type 0.

I still love role-playing too (mostly via instant messaging clients), especially Final Fantasy themes.

I also have a White Mage cosplay! I would like to cosplay more Final Fantasy characters in the future. Just need to find a group to go with.

How're you finding Type-0? For me it's a mixed bag, but thankfully the most important element is fun: the gameplay :).

The gameplay is very addicting, I'm not normally a fan of grinding but in this game I enjoy it. I get lost trying out all the characters and run through all the strategies flying through my mind. I also love the sound track to the point I find myself doing Yoga to it or something haha. I'm not sure what I think of the dialogue but I figure a lot of it may be lost in translation.

It took forever for me to get in to though because I got it on Steam and was a pain to configure properly. Now that I've got the ball rolling I'm hooked!

Yeah, the script is so wonky :/. I never considered it could be down to bad translations :hmmm:. I loved the ending to the game, so that's something to look forward to imo :).

Welcome to FFF, look forward to seeing you around and perhaps another we can lure to the dark side of FF14 :D I also roleplay myself and have done since the days of MSN (Yup i'm that old) though more fantasy than final fantasy themed if I'm honest.

Welcome to this little corner of insanity that some call home. We have many faces and loads of fun with eachother, most of us are a friendly bunch. If you consider the dark side of mmo's there's a small group on XIV though I myself have been going back to XI with a free private server.

Honestly I've always wanted to try FF14 but I didn't know anyone who played PC version so I held off. Is it cross-platform by chance? Do people roleplay on FF14 too?

Thank you for the warm welcome! Yep IX is definitely one of my favorites, along with Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions. While I love the characters in Final Fantasy games, I felt like the only character I could relate with on a deep level with was Garnet, her character was like staring in to a mirror if I existed in an alternate reality.

I mostly exist on Udemy and some Myers Briggs theory sites (though honestly I only visit for the exercise advice thread because I don't want to go to the gym and exercise at home). So this site seems like it will be refreshing and I will be able to focus on stuff I love to talk about ^_^

aaah type-0 is one of my fav ff games, what's your party setup? I've used king/trey/ace because they're all ranged and I'm a wuss haha (I like Nine the most though)

The PS3, PS4 and PC ALL use the same servers, and yes I believe some are even prone to RP, I've yet to start but I contemplate it now and again. We even have our own special RP symbol!! The server we are on is less inclined to RP but I'm sure if you chose to join us, some one will be ready and willing to have fun.

Initially it was Ace Seven and Nine, but sometimes I swap out Seven or Nine for Jack. I was frustrated with Jack because the game moves faster than he does. He's very broken but you can get his attack so high to the point he smashes stuff and it just dies. So I guess that makes up for the game being faster than him XD
