How about trying another writing competition? We've had them run before so people who were around about a year ago will know the general idea. I think it would work better this time round, since we seem to have a few more people who are seriously into writing than before. And also I'm a little more confident that it'll be run smoother than Rhea managed.
 
To be fair, she never even bothered to tell me or the other entrant (whoever that was) that she'd canceled it when she ran it because of a lack of entries. >>

Who would be likely to run it this time?
 
It was an idea that was forgotten because we had to concentrate on the Role Playing section for a long while. But thanks for reminding me here! I'm definitely throwing my weight behind this, considering we get a lot of support. Heck, I'll be a judge if there are enough people who participate.
 
If I'm thinking about the one your talking about, at the end only one person submitted an entry, so it had to be canceled :/

Too bad too, 'cause I remember one mod said they'd spring for a gift or something for the winner

Yes and no.
No because the focus of the last month or two has been birthweek and then opening the application centre for another FF mod.
Yes because this is now closer to happening because there is nothing else to plan as well. I don't think it would take too much longer, but any specific amount time would be inaccurate:monster:
 
Why not make a theme and a sign-up thread to start with? You know, start slow.
 
I think if they do that, they should have another xbox/ps3 compitition. *crosses fingers*

I've had a few spouts lately where I want to write something, though, so maybe I'll join as well, if I can muster another up. :sneaky: Then it'll just be a matter of disposing of my compitition.

I'll see if anyone in staff would be interested in running this competition and if they could pick a theme and specifications...unless the general public has something in mind they'd like to throw in? In the past there's always an attempt for a FF/KH theme but I think it would be nice to get out of that box and do something else.
 
By the looks on this thread, I'm not taking any sides but, this would be a great chance to anybody who has interest, who missed out and/or who's new to enter. IF there are judges of course.

To be honest, I'd prefer not to do a Final Fantasy-based story, since that's the first thing people always think of. But if it will attract more entries, then I'd go for it.
 
Right. Well if we can decide on a theme then we can work this out soon. I need to speak to a few people first to figure out some stuff and then we'll get crackin'. Hopefully we can have the guidelines set up in a few days.
