HD TGS 10 Trailers of FF Versus XIII and Agito XIII Released [10/8]

Square Enix has released the trailer on its Japanese website for Square Enix members to view, and now it's shown up on YouTube as well. It's a much clearer view of the two new titles in the Final Fantasy XIII Fabula Nova Crystallis saga.

First we see Final Fantasy Agito XIII for the PSP. It should play similarly to Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

And then we have Final Fantasy Versus XIII for the PlayStation 3, which features a lot of spiky hair and walking, two hallmarks of the franchise. There's also some jumping, and Noctis Lucis Caelum stabbing Behemoth in the face. Good times!

Okay, I'm gonna get BOTH of those games...

Agito looks great, I was hesitated when they said a card game and I didn't see the previous trailers but after seeing the gameplay, I'll get it.

Versus, somehow it doesn't look linear to me, it looks quite amazing, I don't know about the battle style yet, since it's still unclear yet.

Wow now I can see those vidz in HD, spectacular ! I hope Versus dont end up sucking badly,,,or I will abandon any future FF from that day on and one day I might leave this forum as well since there wont be anything to talk about anyways on that judgement daY.
 
Agito looks way better than i had imagined. But Verus was looking like Fallout3 in that first 10seconds, then the city came and was beautiful. :D I CANT WAIT! :awesome:
 
Versus just very well may be the last hope for Final Fantasy for me. I'm hoping with all my heart that a spectacular storyline and battle system can go with those amazing graphics.
 
In the beginning of the XIII versus trailer,the music,it make me think of ff8 liberi fatallie !
I hope this FF will be epic as ff8 !
 
Agito definitely looks more interesting than I last remembered. I just hope the card system (?) won't be too confusing >.<

Versus is epic of of course. I liked FFXIII, so I have high hopes for Versus, especially since it's being handled by the Kingdom Hearts team ♥

Guh, now I wanna see that conference. Hurry up, already! :ness:
 
Versus is going to be kick ass. I can't wait for it. Its the reason I'm finally going to save up (and not stop saving) for a PS3. I've wanted one forever, and all I have is PC, PS1, PS2, and PSP. I need that system D:<

Agito looks more fun that it sounded, but it doesn't even look like a Final Fantasy game. Versus doesn't really either, so idk. Either way, Versus is going to be epic, and Agito might be fun. Don't fail me Square Enix O_O

Agito is certainly an interesting one. For starters, kudos to it for bringing back the world map. Watching a chocobo run across some plains is automatically equal to a few brownie points from me. But in battles, it's hard to tell that it's a Final Fantasy. And I'm squinting to try and work out what the characters' names are. I can see "Ace". No prizes for guessing what weapon he uses.

Versus though pretty, looks rather...lifeless as well. Maybe it's just the location featured (or that they're still being worked on), but the environments are just wastelands rather devoid of much life. I just hope the Shinjuku-like area (very imaginative aren't we, SE?) in the finished product does have some life in it.
 
Not really any difference in the Hd versions to be honest. I dont see anything really different... Agito looks very interesting. The battle system looks like a better version of FF VII CC but I cant say that just yet. Versus will be the better of the 2 for sure. That is becaus eit is on the ps3 but I could be wrong.. I must say what I have seen of versus so far isnt really impressive. The behemoth fight was though. Now I have all my fingers crossed for the conference. It better not Dissapoint us. Or else it is the last straw for Square Enix..
 
Versus looks amaing..........I gotta say though like Fluer it does look lifeless.......and like FFXIII it better not have just a few NPC's.But still I like how the world is set out and the way you navigate the player around the environment it looks just like the old FF games. Even though the trailer might not of been all that they really haven't showed us much things intresting here other then the behemoth fight..........But I'm sure whatevers to come will be good!


I can't wait for the conference now!!
 
I'm really hoping Versus turns out good. The environments look more like something I might be into. Actually all they have to do is make it a little better than XIII and I'm happy.

The art looks to be there. Just maybe not the polish that I might expect, because XIII was beautiful.

I'm not going to go down the route of thinking Versus will be amazing because I did the same with Final Fantasy XIII and the game was just awful in so many ways. Graphically it's very impressive and admittedly, Shimomura had done a very good on the OST. I just hope it isn't a case of Final Fantasy XIII where everything LOOKED amazing, but the game itself was poor.

As for Agito, not interested really.
 
This looks great... The fact that Agito has a cardgame system worries me a bit. I wouldn't appreciate a huge learning curve like Final Fantasy XII or VIII. Same goes to Versus, but everything seems a little more straightforward judging by its gameplay thus far. I just recently got a PSP mainly so I can play Agito XIII, Crisis Core and Dissidia. I hope these games do very well, and after what we all saw in FFXIV, these better not be a descendant of that... cursed "family" the online MMOs created. The gameplay looks very interesting in Versus, since I didn't see any HUD, and it doesn't look turn based. It better not be all FFXII-ish though, or I'll be disappointed. Not sure what to expect from Agito, besides the fact it's gonna act like Yu-Gi-Oh or something? The graphics look spectacular, as usual. The huge monsters and a few of the scenes in the Agito trailer reminded me of a scene in FFVIII when you're on your SeeD Mission in a town while a robot is chasing you. Versus looks like an Advent Children type setting. Not very colourful, urban and somewhat apocalyptic. That sounds interesting.

I have my hopes up and hope Square can at least make an equivalent of FFXIII, if any lower... many will be disappointed. FFXIII was great. Just not as amazing as the other previous installments, though.
