Full Metal Alchemist – The RP
Imagine a world in which Alchemy is not only possible, but used frequently. Alchemy though, is a science, and with all sciences there are laws that must be followed. People cannot gain anything without sacrificing something. You must present something of equal value to gain something. That is the principle of equivalent trade in alchemy.
It has been a month since the events surrounding the Philosopher's Stone and yet the country is only just beginning to return to it's normal state. But not everything has changed, wars are still abundunt and the army has been spread thin. Also, due to events surrounding the entire army, many have deserted and joined the uprising that was beginning to form within Central City. Not only have soldiers left but also State Alchemists.
This story is the telling of this small war. What side will you join? Will you be an alchemist who has lost his title? A soldier willing to lose all to defend his country? It's your choice.

"Urgh." Rene groaned as he clapped his gloved hands together and slammed them against the table. A sort of glyph appeared on the tabletop, causing two poles to shoot from it and pin the man opposite him to the nearby wall. The poles had shot straight through the mans clothing and cut him slightly, causing the shirt to turn red slightly. "I told you sir, a violent tone of voice will not be tolerated."
"Damned alchemists! You just go round thinking you're the goddamn best! All you can do are a few cheap magic tricks! Now lemme go so I can ram your head through that window!" The man snarled, dropping the cleaver in his right hand. Rene smiled as he brushed a strand of his spiky brown hair out of his eyes. The man was a short, fat and balding man. He was the local butcher. "That kid's the one who stole my damned meat! Why are you punishing me!"
"You were about to cut his hands off before I came in!" Rene said, raising his voice. The man instantly quietened. The small boy was in the corner, shivering. He wore tatty brown clothes and looked as though he hadn't washed or eaten in the past few days. "I do not tolerate scumbags like you who try to hurt little children! It's people like you who force children to turn to crime just to be able to live for a few more days!" Rene lifted his hands off the table and allowed the poles to return back to the surface of the table. He began to walk towards the door but turned to the little boy as he reached the doorway.
"What is your name child?" Rene asked whilst sorting out the collar of his blue military jacket that he had been forced to wear today.
"T-Thomas..." The boy stuttered. He began to stand up but tripped slightly. Rene quickly caught him and stood him on his own two feet.
"Here, come with me. It's early so we shall go get some breakfast. Okay?" Rene said smiling at the boy. The boys eyes lit up with happiness.
"Sure!" The boy cried in happiness as they left the butchers. Rene smiled and looked upwards at the sky. Thomas followed his glance and spotted the large building the army uses. "You're a dog of the military aren't you? You're scum right?"
"Aye, I am a dog of the military I suppose, but we're not all that bad. And you shouldn't say things like scum." Rene told him. It's evaluation day, Rene though as he sighed slightly, I still haven't thought of anything and I have to present myself in just a few hours, and not only that, a large group of citizens had begun to follow the pair.
Hmm... Rene thought, this might be fun.
