Oh wow, the battle screen segments made my pants shorter. The black dude's fro makes me chuckle. And is it just me, or does the chick in the blue look like a significantly more b'dass version of Rinoa?

Anyway......... WANT.

/asks for PS3 for Christmas.

I thought a badass boosted Paine tbh Chips xD

Also, for anyone still having difficulty with the vid, I found going to HD made it stop freezing

Cid Rayne (y) Though I'd rather know what the other two blokes are called since he's called "Cid" Still some useful info in that translated one though I'll take it with a pinch of salt since it looks as if the person who did it was non-fluent in English :wacky:

Y'know, regarding Ifrit, Siren and Carbuncle I think they're going to be optional in-battle summons you can choose from. I can't imagine how you're going to be stuck with one summon per person =/

Wow. I had not seen anything on this game in so long and I'm crazy pumped to pop it into my 360 and begin the adventure. It looks amazing as usual. I'm still holding off on looking to much into the characters and plot and all. I want it to be a complete surprise my play through the game.

So since this is the final trailer, I might go back and watch them all in chronological order to make a little bit more sense out of them all and see the progression from start to finish of what they've revealed to us.

Nice dig and great vid. Only what, 5 more months at most? Niiiiiice!

I like the melancholy moment with Snow and Lightning on the cliff-side, they've done really well with the CGI once again - and frankly, I don't mind the Transformers theme going on as they adapted it very well and made it far more enjoyable in my view. It's quite surreal what with these mysterious characters emerging, and hopefully they do add to Cid's character - perhaps to the point where he could be a guest in battles, who knows?

I too stumbled across a subtitled version of the trailer, it loaded fine for me and the subtitles are about double the size of the one posted by .Meredy, here is an alternative link:

Based on the fact that Cid seems to be a PSICOM superior and is wearing the outfit of the Sanctum military just like Yaag Rosch and Jihl Nibaat, we have another enemy Cid just like FFXII's Doctor Cid.

God, he looks really young! All the Cids I have seen in the other FF games have looked rather old or middle aged. This character just doesn't have that "Cid" vibe. I don't think I like it... :hmmm:

Apparently, the Vanille's summon is also a new summon to the series, much like Brynhildr. It's called Hecatoncheir, and its super move is called Gaio Salvo, according to FF wiki.

Aha! So her summon is one of the "Hundred-handed Ones" of Greek mythology, which helped overthrow the Titans.

That makes sense, seeing as it looks like this:

Thanks for the info.

That's the ugliest summon I've ever seen, and I still don't like the fact it turns into a turret :jtc: I would have thought they'd have given her a decent looking summon to reflect her general appearance and personality; like Carbuncle! :gasp:

I have to agree with Ryan. All Eidolons have looked beautiful so far- and Vanille's has come and ruined it. All these....arms(?) make the design so cluttered and untidy. I appreciate SE for choosing new names for summons- but why couldn't they have done a Doomtrain, where it obviously becomes a train?

On the subject of the Eidolons- do you think SE will turn towards Bandai or a similar company to release the Eidolons as toys that can transform? Vanille's summon doesn't look practical as a toy- but if the transformations are possible for toys in the other Eidolons- this is one type of merchandise SE should go for.

Most likely, they've already got a stupid amount of merchandise lined up to sell and the game isn't even out yet. So it really wouldn't surprise me if I looked on a Japanese website in a few weeks to find transforming Eidolon toys there :wacky:

Perhaps we might even get a live-action trilogy going with 'dem transforming Eidolons, would certainly fit the last 30 seconds of the trailer or so... now just to get Megan Fox to play Oerba Yun Fang? (/Sarcasm)

(Yuck, MEGAN FOX?!) Speaking of merchandise, does anyone think the orange county choppers will make a motercycle based off of Snow's bike? I mean, that would be the coolest thing SE could do with that!!

I admit it isn't the prettiest summon in the world... I can't yet see a head in those screenshots, just a hundred (or their attempt at reaching 100) arms. The thing coming out of his neck-area appear to be two hands held together as well.

I think they've just tried to be ambitious here. They've wanted to expand the cast of summons, and someone came up with the idea of including this figure, which was doomed to be difficult to produce in a game.

I think it looks ok, but it doesn't suit what I think of Vanille, but it may do when we know more about the game. I think Carbuncle would have been better, but what could that have turned into? A rollerblade? I mean Carbuncle isn't very big, so he was never going be able to turn into something that would resemble what other summons have been shown to do.

I'm supporting the theory that Carbuncle, Siren and Ifrit are all extra summons, without gestalt modes, and thus suggesting the existance of more summons in the game.

Hecatoncheir is just their way of giving Vanille a gestalt-transformer summon.

Ummm Vanilles summon tbh is really weird. Why something like a machine. She does not even look like a person who likes gattling guns :ffs: But im not really mad that they ruined her summon its just that its just the most weird summon I havce ever seen o_o. The 3 remaining eidolons might be with the sanctum but I doubt it.
