Final Fantasy IX: The Fall of Mages RP

((OOC: Time to butt in on the battle. ))

The 'Shadow Dissipate' spell hit Luna hard, but in her Trance mode, it did little to hurt her. Fortunately for Darkrul, it managed to blast the girl backwards, forcing her weapons to stop in its tracks. Darkrul was saved for now.

The girl continued on flying back, the spell was certainly loaded with quite some amount of energy. Darkrul is indeed a powerful foe, Luna had to admit, despite her indignation.

Ironically, although Luna wanted to continue in her battle against Darkrul, the blast had thrown her so far she was tossed out of the Rift. Reappearing in Gilgamesh's battlefield, the girl made an acrobatic backflip to break her fall. Landing gracefully like an angel, her weapons floated around her disgracefully, spoiling that image.

"Hm...?" She mumbled, looking at Tina doing battle with an unknown warrior.

((OOC: If Gilgamesh love his own voice so much, I suppose he could do with a self-introduction, lol. Luna never met this guy before.))
 
Gilgamesh parried the attack, covering himself with all four swords and lashed out with the swords he held in his upper arms, he suddenly spotted Luna staring at them and turned to her...

"Greetings! I Am Gilgamesh, the Mightest swordsman the world has ever known, I have traversed far and wide and our paths have finally crossed, Your weapons are as good as mine!" Gilgamesh quickly dispersed with the introductions, before continuing to fight with Tina, while keeping one eye on Luna the whole time, he was no stranger to fighting multiple opponents and always enjoyed the challenge it would bring..

-Back at the Academy-

Now most of Darkrul's opponents had departed it left him with only Alshi and Dori, having heard Alshi's challenge Darkrul laughed before staring at her with his piercing eyes...

"Challenge accepted, and tonight I shall drink to your bones!" he mentioned as he began to charge up a Dark magic spell of his own...

"You blame me for everything, but in truth it was your own fault Darkrul, you read from that book, you massacred all those people and for what? To fufill your selfish lust for power..." Alshi replied

"No longer though, even if it means my death I will make sure you will not harm anyone ever again...Holy BLAST!" Alshi continued before unleashing a powerful Holy spell aimed directly at Darkrul...

"And I will grant you that wish my Love....Dark BLAST!" Darkrul retored and unleashed a powerful Dark spell of his own

The spells clashed in midair and pushed back and forth against each other as at either side Alshi and Darkrul bolstered there own spells in an attempt to gain dominance over the other...

After the energy came back to the hammer and the rest of the mages were dead, he then heard a voice that told him clearly that the rift is about to close. after that he saw how some figure came and took one of his ally" What the...." and before he could finish it the other one was flying to the rift by Darkruls magic. "what the hell is happening... that thing isn´t dead yet....where are they" he asked himself, and noticed the white mage who also said them to leave Darkrul to him. She looked familiar, he then remembered... Queen Alshi. "How....Why... How i didn´t notice her before" he started thinking.

"Granseal... of course." then remembered." My Queen Alshi.... let me fight by your side. it would be my greatest honour to help you" he told formally and clearly. Without waiting for the answer he took remaining runes that he had left and noticed that there where enough words to make one final plow, but it was too risky, because with longer runes takes much more energy, even the last to were difficult, then after the last one, he probably wont move for some days or weeks, but seeing Alshi he had to do it.

He took out the runes, lined them up and put his hammer upside down near the runes and he started" Isa Mannaz Perth Ansuz Cauno Tiwaz " with each finishing word, the hammer started to glow even stronger and stronger, and its golour changed from the darkest deep sea blue into deepest dark forest green. His eyes were also glowing in white golour " Your Majesty... let me make him weaker for you...with the power that has been granted to my from the highest mountain in Kazud-Ham" he told in deep voice that was getting louder step by step. He charged at Darkrul in high speed. Hi prepared his hammer to hit darkrul stomach "Take this you bitch.... IMPACT" with these words he swinged his hammer. It was one shot only, so he had to make this one count. It didnt matter now what it hit. after the shot he collapsed...barely breathing...

The hammer struck Darkrul, winding him and knocking his concentration on the spell making it possible for Alshi's Holy Blast to surge straight to him, knocking him clean off his feet and leave a burning residue on his robe, which he quickly patted out...

"Cheap shotting...little f**KINg!!!" Darkrul cursed as he got to his feet and began to send out several blasts of Shadow energy at both Alshi and Dori...

Alshi however countered it by stepping in the way of the blasts and errecting a holy barrier, the Dark energy withering away worthlessley as it touched the divine shield "I appreciate your help Dori, I remember my father trained you as a Dragoon right? If you can...try and Jump on him while I hold his attention with a diversionary spell!" Alshi mentioned before dropping the barrier and blasting a stream of Holy energy that clouded around Darkrul's vision creating an opening for Dori...
 
" I´m....s...sor... sorry Your Majesty......" he said to Alshi and then he black out. The energies that were in is body started to flow out. Even the vivius dark spell evaporited. The hammers glow also faded, and it turned back into axe. The runes were also turned into solid small rocks The magic within them ended, But Dori keeped them.

Tina deflected Gilgamesh's attack with her daggers, the force of the attack knocking her perpendicular to his position. After landing, she said to Luna, "He's just full of it, be careful though." Tina then charged again at Gilgamesh saying, "Well then, I hope you're ready to be disappointed when I win." She knew Gilgamesh does not play fair, but as a gunner and a merc, neither did she. Tina continued to run as if she was going to attack Gilgamesh head on, she jumped and pointed her knife as if she was going to stab him in the shoulder, but instead, went for the foot.

OOC: Cause as the guy from Magic the Gathering says, "Victory is better than honor."

Vivius - Tommy ... Long time no see!

On the lonely streets of Alexandria, the one with the funny pointed hat, was slowly walking. He seemed to be far away from Alexandria in his mind, yet his body reflected his anxiousness. Just walking there, that was all he had done there for last few minutes.
After leaving Granseal, the mage had left Richard to the finest hospital and went straight to the street. And there he had been till now. For the few spectators, it might even seem that he was waiting for someone. All of a sudden, a quiet sound caused by a blade. An eye blink later, a drop of blood had appeared on the corner of Vivius'es mouth.

'' Fast ... you are fast ...'' The whispering, it was filled with fear. A shining white blade, partly covered with blood, had pierced trough the flesh of Vivius'es body. Pain, it was huge. Especially because of the mage's exhaustion.

'' No ... to me it seems that you have gotten slow.'' The voice, it was so familiar, yet Vivius was unable to recall the name of it's owner.

'' I never thought that I would catch you that easily .... the legendary grandchild of Vivi himself!'' Now it was certain, it was the voice of Tommy, the highest one of the red-mages. And also, he was a former friend of Vivius.

'' Wow ... you were quick Tommy.'' Another man appeared out of nowhere. His red hair and the rusty leather armor he was wearing. It was more than certain that it was Amarus, the son of Amarant. An arrogant and irritating smile was on his face.

'' I'm sorry Vivius ... I never had anything against you ... it's just business. And you don't know how damn good business this is!'' Amarus was laughing. His former friend and sparring partner, a mage that he always had respected and feared, was in front of him. Totally helpless.

'' Tommy ... why the hell are you helping him ...'' The very moment Vivius tried to flash away, he realized that he had lost. Tommy had cast a sealing spell on him. Golden chains locked him in an instant and blocked all of his magical abilities.

'' For me ... it's also purely business. By locking you up, the last living heir of old king, I will become the king of EOC.'' Tommy, he had changed a lot in the last 50 years. He was wearing the typical red colored pope clothes. Only thing that was different, he hadn't any hat. His hair was gray and his face reflected his experience.

'' So, got any last words?'' Amarus was laughing, he was happy and relaxed like a beast who just had killed his prey. But the next words wiped off all the happiness he was feeling.

'' Lock and Roll - the seal no. 46!'' Carlos had rushed to the battle field. In a mere instant, Amarus was surrounded by pipes which formed something similar to a cage.

'' Wha.'' Tommy was unable to react to another sealing spell. But instead of a cage, he had been locked with a chain. The caster of it was the king himself.

'' Markus Tribal I ... what a pleasure!'' Amarus was boastfully shouting. His eyes, they had been filled up with rage and blood thirst. And he knew that the king was no match against him and Tommy together.

'' Carlos, free Vivius. I will deal with those two!'' And the next moment, kings sword hit the claws of Amarus. Without any trouble at all, Amarus had destroyed the cage around him and charged at the king. Another cut which was barely dodged by the king.

'' Damn you ...'' King released a powerful blow towards his enemy, but it was blocked with ease. And so it continued for half a minute, with absolutely no result.

'' Come one, you can offer more than that!'' The claws of Amarus moved in the air at amazing speed, but not for once they landed a hit on the body of Markus.

Meanwhile, Carlos had released Vivius. But only a second later, Tommy break free from his prison and charged at Carlos. The shining white blade met Ragnarok and a sound similar to explosion moved throughout the street. And another one. Carlos fell to his back, but fortunately Vivius managed to burst Tommy away with a wind spell.

'' I shall introduce you two. Tommy, the highest of the red-mages and most likely the next king of Eastern Outer Continent. And that young one is Carlos, son of Steiner II.'' After those words, Vivius charged at Tommy. But some how, Tommy was always a step ahead of Vivius.

OOC: I bet you never thought of that :D

Doctor Tot - Oh, it's you

The very moment Dori collapsed, a magical aura covered him and a second later, he disappeared.

'' What ...'' Doctor Tot shouted all of a sudden. A body of a dwarf appeared on the bed in the room of Vivius.

'' Damn you Vivius and your tricks''

'' Oh ... it's him. Son of Longbeard Korga.'' Doctor Tot whispered to himself the moment he recognized the dwarf.

'' I need a medic here!'' He said and walked towards a chest. He opened it and took out some bandage.

((OOC: Unexpected, it truly is. Luna is still in Trance, but won't be for long. By the next post, she'll be out of it.))

Gilgamesh's self-introduction definitely caught Luna off-guard. While he had been full of himself, it was in a manner that forced a sarcastic chuckle from the girl. "Really? Try grabbing hold of one if you even can." She replied, her nine weapons floating around her menacingly.

"But try not to appear to asinine." She added, spreading her arms out, the reddish aura around her reinforced by this action. However, the mental strain of having nine weapons summoned was starting to get to her. Although curious about the sudden appearance of this stress, she decided Gilgamesh and Tina had no need to know.

Charging forward, her swift movements were a mere blur to the naked eye. Eyes of a steely black stared intensely at her opponent. Pointing her Crescent Saber at Gilgamesh, she mentally willed her blades to follow up on this attack. Flying into action, the nine blades came on their target quick, seemingly leaving him with little chance to escape.

Markus Tribal I - A duel compared to no other!

The shiny silver sword was moving through the air like the wind itself. And yet Amarus had no problems with dodging it. And immediately followed by another blow. From the bottom to the up. And once again it does not hit its target.

Yet another blow aiming for the head was evaded, but this time just barely. It cut through a handful amount of his red hair, making Amarus swear quietly. Within a second or even less, Amarus had moved behind his opponent, with his claws aiming for the head of his target. And then he whacked, claws moved with inhuman speed towards their target but were forced to stop soon. Again, it was caused by the same silver sword of the king.

'' You have improved ... did your daddy train you?'' Amarus murmured. As an answer to his enemies threatening murmur, Markus sent out a lighting bolt, aiming for the left hand. But without major effort, Amarus dodged the bolt.

'' Or not ...'' He charged at Markus with his claws slashing down. Fortunately, Markus was able to dash back and evade the claws, but just barely.

Carlos - I will give my best, I promise!

Meanwhile the duel between Tommy and Vivius had gone even fiercer. Waves of energies, burning flames, freezing arrows and deadly lighting. All those previously mentioned types of magics were sent at each-other countless times. And yet they had no result. With ease, both Tommy and Vivius blocked their enemy's attacks. Until a dark beam which burst through the stomach of Vivius.

'' Carlos .... knock him unconscious ... it will be enough to release him ... release him from ...'' But Vivius failed to end the sentence. He collapsed.

'' Sire ... I will give my best, I promise!'' And the very next moment he had charged at Tommy. Their swords clashed three times every second and none of them showed any signs of exhaustion or pain.

A mysterious man

'' What a disappointment ... Vivius is already out ...'' A low, beast-like, voice said.

'' Yes indeed ... I think he is just sparing himself for the fight against me ... isn't it so, Thorogor.'' The clear, a bit childish yet powerful and high tone belonged to a man feared by many. That was certainly Garland II.

'' Should I go and kill him? To make it easier for us.'' The one called Thorogor whispered. A silent laughter filled the air and Garland II revealed his face. It seemed so pure yet so dark.

'' You can't kill him, especially when he is sleeping. Even I would have trouble with breaking the magical barrier around him when he is unconscious. After all, it was put on him by Zidane, Vivi, Quina and Garnet together ... '' Garland II took out his katana like sword and swinged it in air.

'' Gosh how I would like to have a match with Markus. He is so youthful and energetic while being very experienced.'' Garland continued and smiled to Thorogor.

'' I would just like to smash his brains out so we could get over with this war. Besides, you shouldn't interrupt, it's Amarus'es battle ... '' Thorog was staring the king and how he was fighting.

'' I have to admit that I would have harsh time against Markus ... but that Carlos and Tommy over there ... they are so boring. I think I will go spice things up!'' Thorog disappeared and in next moment appeared behind Carlos. As a reflex, Carlos swung his sword towards the intruder. But with his bare hand, the man stopped the sword.

'' Ragnarok ... what a wonderful piece of art. But it's useless when the owner is a weakling!'' Thorog shouted and pulled the sword away.

'' Nuke!'' The very moment a nuke was released, Carlos started to fade away. But a second before his death, the nuke disappeared.

'' THOROGOR ... don't ruin all the fun ... now Carlos, the step child of Steiner II, continue your fight with Tommy!'' It was Garland II. But the way how he had stopped a powerful Nuke, without even moving his hands. What the hell was he.

'' Thorogor ... it can't be ... the king of Ispen. The maniacal king who killed his own grandfather, father, brothers and mother to become the only heir to the throne.'' Carlos was shocked. Those two, Thorogor and Garland II, they both were way out of his league and could have killed him in an instant. But they didn't want to kill him, they were here to enjoy and watch his fight ...

'' CLIMHAZZARD!'' Carlos roared and charged at Tommy who had been surprised by the sudden appearance of the two. And that why, he got a direct hit from the attack.

'' We have seen enough, come now!'' Thorogor and Garland the II both disappeared.

OOC: If you don't know who Tommy is, I suggest you to read Vivius'es diary :D

As Gilgamesh went to block the dagger thrust he thought was coming for his shoulder, he felt an intense pain in his foot as the dagger struck its mark "YEOUCH!!" he remarked as he realised just how far the dagger had penetrated.

He didnt have much time to react either as Luna's blades came at him, He swung his swords fiercely in an attempt to block the attacks, but they managed to bypass his guard wounding one of his arms, forcing him to drop one of his swords and doing superfical damage to his recently repaired gengi breastplate.

"Damn you..you miserable little brats!" Gilgamesh muttered as he limped backwards slightly"BLADEBEAM!" he remarked as he raised his 3 remaining swords up and slashed through the air sending out a shockwave from the swords towards both Tina and Luna..
 
OOC: Which sword did you drop? Also Tina will be coming out of Trance now.

IC: With Gilgamesh wounded in the foot and one arm he fired 3 shockwaves at Tina. She sidestepped one, and jumped over the second but by then, she came out of trance before she could dodge the third one, and was forced to block the attack with her daggers. The force of the blow knocked her back to the cave's wall. Tina said as she slowly got up, "I guess you have improved after all Gilgamesh. Unfortunately, even if I'm not in Trance you still cannot beat me." She ran towards Gilgamesh. While she was not as fast as before, she still was able to run remarkably faster. Tina was gunning to get the sword that Gilgamesh dropped, and use it against him.
 
OOC: Remember, Gilgamesh isn't a weakling :D

Carlos - One down, another one to go!

The burning flames of Climhazzard burnt the resistance of Tommy. The red mage fell to the ground, losing it's consciousness.

'' One down, another one to go.'' Carlos muttered and gave a glance to the battle between Markus and Amarus. They seemed both godly strong, but by looking the faces, Amarus was the one who had the upper hand.

'' Be strong my king!'' Carlos rushed towards the body of Vivius, took it up and run to the closest hospital with it. Immediately, he called the best medics he knew and those started healing him.

'' Tommy ... bring him to here ...'' It was Vivius. His voice, it reflected his soul which was drained empty from any power. Without asking any questions, Carlos went outside to bring Tommy to the hospital.

OOC: Give and take.. I suppose.

Laughing softly as she saw her blade cut into Gilgamesh's arm, the girl made an agile leap away from her position to another. Certainly, she had been expecting a counter attack, but just at this moment, the reddish aura around her faded. "What the...?" She could only mumble as the realization set in.

Just at this moment, Gilgamesh released a powerful shock wave from his remaining 3 blades. Too astonished by the sudden disappearance of the aura that had granted her strength earlier, the girl could only raise her Crescent Saber in defense- instinctively. Her other blades floated around her in limbo, as the waves finally crashed against her Saber.

Thankfully, she had braced herself for a strong impact. Standing firmly, the first wave merely broke against her defense. The second successfully knocked her blade away, making Luna stagger. The third was the only successful hit. With this hit, her focus was promptly shattered, and her nine blades vanished instantly.

So forceful was this wave from Gilgamesh that it blasted her against the cave's wall. The pain that coursed through her body almost made her faint, but her will kept her consciousness. Her headache returned, screaming in her head as if seeking attention. Yet she knew the battle has not ended. Summoning 2 more blades to her side, she pushed herself away from the wall.
 
He bu his left foot over the other, smokes his pipe and was enjoying the view that was front of him. the wind breeze was soft and the sun was warm. the time flied quickly over him. He closed his eyes to have a little nap. But suddenly, the wind started to blow stronger, clouds started to move quickly and the sun suddenly was hiding behind the clouds. Korga sniffed a little and in moment later he somehow felted that something is wrong here. "I smell magic in the air" he though and took out a little stone. the glow of this was weak blue. "Something has happened to Dori, the air is full of magic and Richard nor Vivius havent notified me about the changes" he started to think uneasily. he then took his gun and his staff and started to make a spell" T.L Dori".In the next moment he was next to Dori and saw Tot" How are you Tot, have not seen you for a while?, What is going on and why is Dori here?" he then asked while was looking at Dori.
 
A smile formed on the face of Tot when he noticed his old friend, Longbeard Korga. Slowly, Tot walked towards a chair and took a seat while pointing to another chair.

'' You may sit down. I have no idea what is going on ... but Vivius had cast a teleport spell on Dori in case he loses his consciousness. And well, that was exactly what happened. If I wouldn't have been here, Dori would have been dead by now.'' Tot said with a bit fragile voice. Slowly, he took out a pipe and offered it to Korga.

'' It's your favorite, the pipe of Richard's father Dominus.'' Said Tot while putting the pipe on a desk near to the dwarf.

'' But Dori is fine otherwise. Now, why did you stop your vacation?''

OOC: During Saturday, I will take control of Shaun's characters in case he doesn't return before until he returns. BTW, sorry for not posting for a while. Was waiting for Shaun and had harsh times myself as well.
 
Korga went to Dori and looked at his wounds. Not only battle wounds were there but also the mark for using magic was also on her right wrist" Damn that boy is lucky. He did pretty dangerous spell and survived" he said.

Korga then took some runes and put them on the mark whispered something and then went to take a seat, next to Tot."Why did Vivius send him here, How could Dori even got to Gaia?" he then asked Tot with little anger in the voice and took the pipe.

The taste was good, it relaxed him."Oh yes....I have almost forgot the taste of this pipe", he then took some weed and light a fire on top of it. Smoked it a little then he offered to Tot."Its a new one, try, made it today, and the taste makes it even better", and gave it to Tot

" But my vacation just ended, when i noticed the changes in weather. And even interesting was that Doris stone glow was very weak. But tell me, what has happened? There was a strong stench of magic near my place? and why Vivius nor Richard have not informed me? Tot tell me everything" He said with a calm voice
 
Tot listened what Korga had to say and then stood up.

'' Well, I wish I could know as much as you would like to know ... but I can only be sure that Dori came down to earth to hunt down Garland the II ... but that's everything I know, besides the fact that a war has started .... World War I as they call it.'' Tot gave a glance to the body and then continued.

'' Few minutes ago the body just popped up here and I treated it as good as I was able to ... which means that Dori should regenerate in a week at best.'' Tot said with a straight yet a bit worried tone.

'' But I'm certain that Richard knows more ... Let's just wait for him and meanwhile you tell me what you have been doing all those years?'' Tot asked with curiosity and started waiting for Korga's answers.

OOC: Is till haven't found time to take over Darkrul's chars but it shouldn't take too long. Really sorry tho ... I try to give my best!
 
"Ohooo...A World War you say...that is something new" Korga said with a surprised voice."But thanks for helping him, but one thing I should point out to you. The Squared mark on his right wrist is the curse, what is denying all the medicine you gave him. The mark only appears when a novice is trying to use the one of the dangerous magic, That was created in Terras highest mountain. Only a rune magic master can cure this. I once had these same problems often and my master was very angry with me, but my stubborness didnt gave in. Dori will be healed about 3 days. These runes also increases the healing process speed." Korga said with calm voice, while smoking the pipe.

He really didnt want to speak what he has being doing all these years. Richard Vivius and The World War were more troublesome to him" But how the world war started? and why wasnt I aware of it?...Dont tell me that the usages of weed is involved." he ended the sentence with a smile on his face." But as for me, there is time to explaine what i have done...shortly I would say that i took a long vacation"

He then stood up and looked at Dori" If you awake again, I wont be around." he said in whisper to Dori." Tot where are we at the moment?, I think I should go look for those other two, I bet there in some deep trouble somewhere"
