I joined this forum on April 2009 as Safer Sephiroth. I can't believe is been 7 years already since I joined the community. I still feel the same love that I felt when I registered in this forum. Not as active as before but it still have some activity left on it.

A few years ago, I was on the ISOHunt forum and I had a lot of fun, spent a lot of time on that site - the forum side. There were a few that I talked to on a regular basis (WhiteViper, trollster, tazz, pacman, djdezzie, nephilim and a few others). When the site was shut down for good :sad3:(I wish they had at least been allowed to keep the forum open) I didn't try to find another one right away. Then another ISOHunt opened but I didn't recognize any of the names I knew ( I know they could have changed them). Everything that I found great was gone and everything that got the first one shut down was there so I didn't go back. Turns out the people running the new site just copied the old site logo and all - not associated with the old site at all. This year I was tired of not having a forum to go to so I went searching and found this one. You guys aren't as active as ISOHunt was. I was able to rotate comments on about 4 to 6 threads a night there with a response about 90% of the time but that was then and this is now. I'm enjoying being a part of this forum. It's one of the best I've found.:hug:

IF anyone recognizes any of those handles from anywhere else please let me know. I would like to talk to the old gang as well as my new friends.:awesome:

Blimey this has been a hell of a nostalgia trip. Even charliepanayi, Scrutator and even DarkSquall have posted in (relatively) recent years!

I joined back in March 06 - I can't remember exactly why I joined but I followed a sig advert from over on the old Advent Children Forums, back when that was still standing. I joined in the middle of a big drama between Darkblade (the original site owner) and pretty much every other member. It was a fun time.
This has all made me miss the good old days. I see Jim is still banned, which feels right, but is very very sad.

I didn't think I would have made a newbie thread, but apparently I did here. Does anyone remember when this place had it's own RPG? And it's own chat room?!

I do remember this! I cannot remember the precise images used or anything, but I remember a world map of sorts and different battler sprites. You could upload your own image for your character, and so on.

Thankfully I either missed or was naïvely blind to most of the drama in this site's early years.


I joined on Jun 26th 2008. Back then I was Argor251 and remained so for years before settling on my current and final username. I didn't create a welcome thread or anything. I was just following the first Google result I could find for a 'Final Fantasy forum' and that led me to you lot.
 
The new kid in town :) Joined Feb 27. 2021 so I just had to add a few years to the list. :rofl:
