I was browsing this section tonight and I couldn't believe that there wasn't a thread made for this! So, I ask you guys, what is your favorite TV show? Do you have a favorite type? Why is it your favorite? Do you enjoy reality shows, dramas, sci-fi shows, do you have more than one favorite show? Tell me here and please don't spam. Explain why this is your favorite show and what you enjoy about it! I'll go first.

My favorite TV show is currently Smallville. I'm absolutely hooked on this show. It's kinda awesome getting to see Clark Kent (Superman) growing up and gaining his powers as he goes through childhood, to his teen years, etc...This show is very gripping, it ranges from action-packed, to comedy, to angst-filled, to heart-felt, to romance, to tragic. I'd highly recommend this show for anybody who might enjoy watching shows like these ones! It's definitely worth it!

Favorite TV show is Definitely Deadliest Catch. Like it says, It's one of the deadliest jobs in the world, Crab Fishing in Alaska. Been watching a few years and 1 boat has completely vanished with only one person found alive and at least 4 others have fallen overboard but got rescued in time.

Good suspense, Funny crewmembers and lotsa crabs xD

That and watching the waves toss em around like bath toys is kinda interesting.

All time would have to be,

The Simpsons - solely out of the fact that I've been watching it my entire life.

Others.

Heroes - Season two wasn't to great, but the show still has great potential. I like the cliffhangers left at the end of every episode.

Rocko's Modern Life -
Childhood great. It was the first edgy cartoon I'd ever watched...along with Ren and Stempy...I still catch it from time to time and laugh my ass off.

Family Guy -
Always good for a laugh...sadly no episodes left to remember for being great though...like Simpsons and Futurama.

Scrubs
- Only recently getting into this show, but it has been greatness. Went back and watched every episode...and it is amazing. My Lunch and My Screwups are must watch.

Futurama -
What can I say? An amazing show. Combines comedy with drama...episodes Like Jurassic Bark and Luck of the Fryish are pure genous...first and only cartoon to make me cry.
I know there's more...but I can't think of em off the top of my head. The Simpsons is the on top though.

American Dad! - I love this show because it's so funny and it's sorta hard to be all politcal and funny ;).

Family Guy - This is always good for a laugh, kind of the whole flash back thing is kind of getting old but what the hell :wacky:

Simpsons - I don't watch this as much as i used to...I've only gotten into it more because new episodes are finally on in Australia :monster:

South Park - 1 Word...Cartmen.

Scrubs is like the worlds greatest TV show, have seen almost every episode and i love it, Dr Cox is the funniest character constantly insulting JD for being a whiney man child, or constantly calling him a girls name so good, the Janitor is fairly Funny aswell

Pretty much the same >.>

Smallville I kinda liked Clark with his limited powers (I mean no flying and all that shizz) and his life it is way better than Superman >.>

Gosh, I hardly watch television nowadays, but a few months back I watched Angel quite a lot. Vampires and demons are typically not my cup of tea when it comes to shows like that, but they made it pretty interesting in this show. It's a more matured-version than Buffy the Vampire Slayer...at least I think so anyway.

Well in recent years I've really loved Lost, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Sopranos and Six Feet Under. I have a soft spot for Futurama too, has a gentle charm to it.

And the three best US comedies of all-time are Seinfeld, the first nine series of The Simpsons and the first seven series of Frasier. Brilliant characters and a steady supply of laughs.
And the best UK comedy of the last decade or so? Spaced of course! The endless pop culture references are great. Other UK comedies I have loved in the past include Fawlty Towers and Only Fools and Horses.

Well, I don't really watch that much TV, but the two TV shows that always have me watching are Desperate Housewives, and Sex and the City.

Both are brilliant, and hilarious in their own way. And they keep me entertained, and no matter how many times I've seen the same episode, it's still entertaining.

I hardly think I could choose just one but some of the shows regularly watch are.

MythBusters
Simpsons
Futurama
SouthPark
Worlds Deadliest Catch
Ice road Truckers

There are more but I just can't thinkl of them right now.

I'm a total geek, so my favorite show is Law & Order. But, not the spin-offs, I only like the original show, from 1994 and on, with Sam Waterston. I also really like CSI: Las Vegas, because the characters in that show are also really likable.

I don't watch television all that much, but my favourites by far are The X-Files; Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis; and Futurama. All interesting shows.

There are others, but mostly junk I only watch when I'm bored. Funny that almost all the programmes I like are finished now.

The best TV show ever (or at least in recent years) has to be Arrested Development. Smartest and funniest comedy ever created and sadly was one of the shows that suffered from FOX's stupidity when it comes to which shows to cancel. GOB, George Michael and Tobias are funny as hell.

Other honourable mentions go to Spaced, Futurama, South Park, Deadwood, House and Firefly.

Scrubs I suppose I would put in that list but only the first two seasons, the show has gotten progressively worse since season 3.

I'm not sure if I've seen the Las Vegas series but from all the other series I though they were great!

At the moment, even though I watch little TV I would say it would have to be Desperate Housewives (for obvious reasons ) and 24...I haven't seen that much of 24 lately but I thought that the characters and plot were gripping from what I have seen.

Great call on all three there. I didn't watch Spaced when it was on, but I've bought the DVDs and I love the show so much. I don't think there's a single person who has seen them that don't like Fawlty Towers or Only Fools. Other British shows that deserve a mention are My Family, Porridge, Red Dwarf and Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em.
Firefly is probably the best American show I've seen. Canceling that was the crime of the century, and whoever made that decision should be hung, drawn and quartered. D:

Also have to throw Doctor Who and Skins into the mix.

Arrested Development's a great one - postmodernity at its best. South Park's another great show. And I've really gotten into Weeds, though I thought it was going downhill in the third season.

When I was a kid, I think my favorite show was Rocko's Modern Life. When I was in late elementary and junior high, I watched a lot of Daria.

Oh, CSI: Miami is also a favorite of mine. I haven't watched it for some time now, but we have TiVo and it records the episodes everyday so I can watch it at any time I want. I like how they solve the crime scenes and assess the situation. It's very interesting and I do learn quite a bit just by watching that show. The characters are certainly intriguing enough and that's what I really like about this show. The other CSI that I've seen...well, their characters are so-so, not really interesting in my eyes anyway. I think it's very important that you really connect with the characters in a serious show like that.

Little Britain. I know, it's completely weird but it's so funny I could watch it forever.
