Favorite Playable Character

Definitely Yuna. I loved her kindness, the fact that she's a summoner and uses white magic, and her ambition just really move me. I also just love healers in any game, and they always catch my eye the most, so I naturally enjoy Yuna for her ability to heal her allies.
 
Auron. He has a great story, he's got the natural badass factor working in overdrive, and he's damn useful for getting through heavy armour for a good portion of the game, as far as I can recall. He spent most of the time in my front lines.
 
Tidus mainly for the fact that it's his 'story' and I liked his speed and agility in battle. He had useful white magic skills too (cheer, haste etc.) which I used quite a lot especially against some of the harder bosses.

I can see why people love Auron though. He definitely has the badass factor going but sometimes his accuracy enraged me! I'd attack an enemy with him and be thinking "get ready for a beatdown" and then <miss>. Gyahhh!
 
Rikku! She's bright and lively but she's not incapable of really emotional scenes... specifically the scene with Yuna on Gagazet ("Yunie... don't talk like that, we'll see each other again someday, okay?")

I also would make her the strongest character in my party by immediately transferring her to Auron's grid after sufficiently supplying her with her own necessary abilities like Steal and making sure I upped her speed as much as possible. She'd be a physical powerhouse who attacks every other turn, or twice in a row if she's under Haste. UNNNNSTOPPABLE. :D

I also reeeeally love Yuna as a character. She's so strong. She had a goal and she did anything to attain it, even if it meant taking drastic measures. With all the BS she was forced to put up with, she handled it very well... I think most people would've snapped and killed themselves in her place! :P
 
For me it's Auron. There's not even a contest he has waaay too much swag compared to the rest of the cast. The only other two that even came close were Wakka and Lulu. Rikku was mostly for fanservice and Yuna was boring as watching paint dry. Tidus was okay, but nothing spectacular really. D:
 
Auron all the way because he rocks.

Tidus. He's not only my favourite in this game but my favourite of all the FF games.

I feel he's one of the best developed characters in X (in terms of story progression/back-story) and I love his simplistic battle style. :) Yuna is a close second, but there are times early on in the game where she really annoys the crap outta me.
 
My favorite character was actually Wakka. He was attractive to look at, comical, and a great damage dealer. He was actually the first one to reach damage cap for me iirc. He also has one of the best overdrives in the game, with the ability to hit an excessive amount of times at maximum damage. I couldn't help staring at him so I almost always had him in my formation. I cried tears of sorrow and longing when he was not in my party.
 
I may have commented before in this thread, but I'm not going through 19 pages to find out. lol.

My answer is Auron. Auron is just badass. Period.

To elaborate: I always felt like a powerhouse with Auron. From the get-go he has piercing weapons so he could take down the fiends with the hard shells or tough exteriors. And of course by the time he comes in he's more powerful than all the other members of your party. Once he comes back into the game as a usable character for the party he pretty much stays in the party for me. Every single battle I have Auron in there, and switch between all the other characters for the second and third slot. And by the end of the game he's usually my most powerful character, along with Yuna (since I teach her black magic) and Wakka.
 
A common answer I've noticed is Auron, and my answer is the same. :ryan:

First off, his attitude and "ronin" attire/weaponry are fantastic. He's also the initial powerhouse, and most of his weapons have the piercing ability for those damned hard-shelled foes. (Of course anyone can be a powerhouse by game's end, but he's the first one.) Lastly, if it wasn't for him throwing Tidus's whiny ass into that gaping whole, the whole story would've been moot and nonexistent.
 
Seymour was a motherf#@$n badass villain! Loved him. Too bad his role as a playable character was brief. I still jizzed though. He was all like, "Stand back Lady Yuna" and *THUNDAGA!* Feel my fairy Guado rod cast spells on yo' fiend asss! Tidus was awesome, I loved playing as him. His character broke free from the traditional 'cold', 'too cool for school' personality that all the other FF protagonists had in the previous FFs, so it was refreshing to see that light-hearted and lively personality in Tidus, which I thought was adorable.

But even though it was brief, Seymour as a playable character for sure! The time you get to play as him, with epic music (challenge) playing in the background, you get a good sense of how powerful he really is. A taste of this power leaves you feeling pretty scared and anxious when its time to vs him, which I thought was a really good idea in terms of story/character development.

I used her in every battle too, but only because I loved the bitch. She was cute and the best dressed, but I really didn't find her useful at all. I mean, she's a thief, so luck is her specialty I guess, but that's a useless stat, in my opinion.
 
Welp, I'm gonna say...
Yuna, just because of the aeons lol, I love using them and getting all their stats up, it's the only good thing after completing the sphere grid for me...
 
Hmm... I have two ways of defining my favorite character...
Favorite to use in battle, or favorite character as a whole.

My main in battle would have to be: Tidus, Auron, and Yuna.
Tidus mainly because he was fast. Annoying battle? Spam quick hit, it's over. I've gone through and had him through 2 sphere paths aside from his own. (Yuna's and Auron's) Plus I love haste, slow, anything to just annihilate fiends as quick as possible.
Auron was just awesome in general, of course he's the strongest player in the game, as long as you use him.
Yuna I had using black magic, her spells were actually stronger than Lulu's. (And I actually used Lulu sometimes!)
My favorite characters for their dialogue and overall attitude were pretty much everyone. Everyone had their moments of brilliance in my opinion. There's a handful of quotes from each of them that really resonated with me- so I can't actually pick a favorite.

"Irritating, I know. Or are you afraid?" - Auron "All you need is determination. If you have that, you don't need love."- Lulu "My thoughts, they kept floating up, and then slipping through my fingers. Slipping away before I could pin them down with words." - Tidus

 
I used Yuna, Tidus, Auron as well... heh.

Auron's my stand out favourite, he's just an awesome stoic chessmaster. I can identify with his goals throughout his life. Tidus and Yuna are literally one of the few happy couples I admire, Yuna's a bit dense and naive at times though... Pah.
 
Auron, all the way. No idea why, he just acts the coolest and the most mysterious, and has a cool deep voice. But they were all really great, 'specially Rikku. :3
 
I'm going to have to go with Rikku. She's intelligent, devious, isn't dressed like a complete slut, and doesn't have an irritating voice. Plus she's really pretty, and her combine skills allow for a huge range of skills and effects. I always made sure she was my main character.
 
My favorite playable character is Yuna. Why? Because she's a white mage! She can heal and cure. I'm sure I'll enjoy collecting all the white magics in the game and using them.
