Favorite 90's song?

Most of my favorite songs are from the 90's so this is going to be tough.

I'm going to say it's a tie between Champagne Supernova and Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis for sentimental reasons. They always remind me of the summer of 96'. I spent that summer in CT with my family before my Nan died. We had so much fun that summer and spent a great deal of time listening to that Oasis album. Ah, to be a teenager again. xD

This is like choosing my favorite child. :gonk:

For my rap roots, I'mma go with Spottieottiedopalicious by OutKast.

For my rock upbringing, I'mma go with No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age.

Although I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I reserve the right to change my mind. :gonk:

By far, "Love without end, Amen" (1990) by George Strait is my favorite that I am sure is the 90's. Just so niceand pretty.

Blimey, which to choose - I guess I'll go with Losing My Religion by R.E.M. - one of the finest bands ever and possibly their best song, which is high praise indeed. Nicely done video too.

No One Knows appears on the Songs For The Deaf album, which is from 2002 ;-)

I think I'll go for Parallel Universe by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Despite appearing as late as 1999, the Californication album on which it appears is probably the album I've listened the most in the 90's. For further reasons why this song is good, see my post in the Top 10 songs topic :)

Does it? Whoops. My bad. Could have sworn it was from '98. Ah well.

In that case, Everlong by Foo Fighters.

Ditto, except for the spending the Summer with my family part. I just think they're two fantastic songs.

I can't pick just one.

But I guess if I have too it would be....

Nutshell by Alice in Chains ^^

I remember this was the first song by AiC I heard on a site tributed to Layne Staley and I started listening to the rest of the bands music. To me the song reflects the singer's drug problems, the feeling of being violated by the fame and the media. His parent's divorce and insecurity.

It truly is beautiful and i hope you take time to watch ^^

Just to remind everyone, stating your favourite song will not be enough and may be considered as spam. One-liners are not allowed. For example, state why you like the song or how it makes you feel.

Please continue with the discussion.

My Curse - The Afghan Whigs and Marcy Mays
It's a sublime blend of Jazz/Soul influenced Alternative rock and Grunge. It's my favourite ever song along with since I've been loving you.

Killing in the Name by RATM comes incredibly close, it's got everything that makes a great song.
Honourable mentions to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Nirvana.

That they are. That was quite a fantastic album really. There are very few albums I find that I can listen to straight through but that's definitely one of them.

That is such a great song. I love Outkast. B.O.B. is another one of my favorite songs by them. I think it came out in 1999 so it should apply to this thread.

No, B.O.B. came out in 2000 - in fact it was recently voted Best Song of the 00s by one music website. It is a great song though from a great duo.

Tupac - Changes Or
Bone Thugs and Harmony - Crossroads

Can't Choose between the two, both are great in there own way, Changes because the lyrics are just Vintage Tupac and everything fits so well in the song

Crossroads because of the Amazing video one of the first songs i heard from bone thugs and harmony and have liked them ever since,

The entire album is incredible, probably one of the greatest ever written in my opinion. Definitely Maybe is a close contender too though.
