~Evanescent Fairytale~

(OOC: It seems that Monarch, Soul and Tipsy have characters in the same area :hmmm:)
Earthly Realm

Riley walked out of his apartment complex and stopped to look around. To his surprise the bustle of everyday life was unheard in the city. Getting a good look around, what he had heard and seen in comparison to the morning before were two completely different things. For one thing the streets were filled with terrified screams of women, men, and children who were running, stealing, threatening and losing all sense of humanity. It was a scene that could only be described as something out of an apocalypse movie.

As to what was happening Riley was misinformed and completely unaware of what was happening. "Excuse me." he asked to frantic men and women who had run past him.

Their attention could not be broken from their own fear. But Riley couldn't help to wonder what sort of fear this was. He rushed back down the street to where he had exited his apartment building. It was empty and seemed very peaceful compared to the events unfolding upon the next street over. As he tugged on the door to get bakc inside his building however, he found that the door had been shut tight. "Hey! Let me in!" He spoke banging loudly on the door.

A moment of five minutes had passed when he had finally given up. A crash to his left and right made him spin around, gripping his guitar case. Two dogs stood on either side of him and both of their eyes were fixed upon him. They growled hungrily and they looked scruffy and wild, like the beasts of his own dream.

~~~
Orine smiled as demon hounds had run rampant all over Siard. He walked the streets calmly as his surroundings had descended into deep chaos. Soldiers of Siard Castle had begun to fight off the hounds which had invaded the town, some of them doing a very good job. Orine chuckled to himself at the panic. To him it was pathetic that not many beings could fight of a few measly pups. He couldn't help but to think that people that weak and unable to fight were not worth to survive this anyway. Orine made his way to the outskirts of South Siard, once again heading through the forest back to the village of Cia. No doubt that Cia would have the demon dog infestation under control, but his next plan was to end all of that in a heartbeat...
Mrs Johannas, i found this baby sheep, close by. There are hell hounds that have appeared nearby, so i fear for your other animals. Take cover in the barn and i'll make haste in rounding up the rest along with the winged man.
"Oh dear I'm way ahead of you." The old woman spoke peeking out of her barn.
She took the baby sheep by it's neck and guided into the rickety barnhouse. The old woman waited a while with the sheep when the young man had returned with a horse. "Here's a horse. I'll start looking for the other animals."
"Oh dear you don't have to! You two have done enough!" the old woman spoke out of gratitude. "I'll tell you what! You can come to my house any time if you happen to see one of my animals and I shall give you all the information I know huh?"
After pausing for a bit she began again. "My husband was an old treasure hunter. For helping me I'll grant you two a treasure map of his! It takes you to the Ariana Mountain range but before he passed he said he got a whiff of something powerful within the old mountain caverns. I'm sure you two young things could use whatever's in there, I'm fearing for the worst."
The old woman then stroked the back of her horses mane. "Demon hounds like that haven't roamed Agia for centuries. I fear that a terrible demon may have returned. You two be careful out there now!" the old woman spoke as she closed her barn and rusteld around within her pocket before giving an old treasure map to the two tyoung travellers with a smile.
Afterwards she hurried to her home in an alarming pace. She feared that the younger generation may not have known of the evil that was about to unfold, and Ms Johannas wanted to live out the rest of her days as safe and happy as she could.
~~~

"What is it?" The High priestess Melinda asked one of her church maidens.

"The demons have been vanquished, but as to the person who vanquished them I am unsure who has done it my good lady." the short maiden spoke.

Melinda stood tall in her lavender robes of the Thelma church priestess women. "Is the village protected at least?" she asked.

"Yes my good lady. Cia has erected a perimeter around itself, the mana flow seemes to have weakened." the short maiden replied.

Melinda sighed. If the demon leifal were to return she and the rest of her church along with the world would be in utter danger. "I shall be off then. It seems as though the prophecy is turning out to be true." Melinda spoke as she grabbed her staff and began to make her way to the church temple's doors. "If we do not find the Heroes of Mana soon, our world will be in danger."

At this Melinda strode off into the outside world in search of the heroes that would aid her in defeating this ancient evil once and for all. It seemed that in her hurry to exit she completely overlooked the elf dressed in green who had strode right past her seeming to be rhyming to himself.

An Earthquake, was it? Here in the Port Town Rais, Gordon Lawrence, a skilled free mercenary, he was walking about looking for either something to do or someone to hire him. Despite what his main goal was, he needed cash in society, otherwise what would he eat? It was slightly startling for Gordon as to how unexpected it was. And on the first day of a new year, too? How odd. However, Gordon was not one to think of the symbolism behind it. It was instead assumed to be a coincidence.

Gordon was half leaning and half holding on to a pole when it happened, so he had not fallen, but it was apparent that some buildings had fallen and people were more than likely hurt. Gordon freed himself from the embrace of the pole and instantly began walking forward. He wouldn't be searching, but asked or not he would help anyone that needed it. The part that baffled Gordon was the strength of the quake, yet there were no splits in the ground.

However, before finding anyone to help, Gordon was take off what he was doing and forced to draw his sword. An atrocious creature had seemingly grown from the ground. Naturally, given his laid back and sarcastic tone, Gordon raised an eyebrow, "So we get a foot massage and then we get to play with the doggies? What a jolly good time." However, as he finished speaking, 3 more appeared. No matter, Gordon could take them.

Raising his sword, Gordon charged at the nearest hound. Displeased, the hound leaped at him, mouth open and teeth sharp. Positioning his blade and moving his feet just right, he managed to get the hound to leap into his sword going in the mouth. "It's called inertia!" Gordon shouted as he used the movement to then slice through the entire top of the dog. The first one was fast to kill, but the others were too far for Gordon to reach with his sword, but considered point blank for any crossbow, so Gordon decided to use his. Quickly taking a loop of heavy string that was attached to his swords handle, he had it around his wrist and loaded his crossbow, shooting at the second hound. The bolt hit the hound on its shoulder and caused a whimper.

One down. One wounded.

Levont nodded as he listened to the lady talking. Soon enough, he was given a map to a point in the mountains. Opening the map, Levont read up about the necklace.

"Hmm. A cursed necklace of power eh. Sounds interesting. Are you open for exploration miss..." Levont asked waiting for the name of the girl who helped him gather some farm animals while looking toward the direction of location of the cavern.

Anarchia Iilyavich Vesperia - Sevensheep

Human

Pistol still in hand and smoking from the shots, Anarchia double timed it quickly towards the city. Old and ancient or not, Anarchia did not like the idea of these beast popping up whenever they want and taking shots at her throat. If these things were native beasts of this land, then the city meant that they don't appear there. Ipso facto, that was a safe haven. As Anarchia got to the top of another crest, in front, she spotted a young man in what appears to be olden day combat armour, plating and all and wielding a sword, fighting the same hounded beasts that assaulted her just mere minutes ago. Anarchia isn't one to poke her nose into someone elses afair, but she isn't cold hearted enough to just leave someone when she can help.

Well... damn....

The PPK wasn't the best gun to use for ranged shooting, but she was a master with a pistol and this distance was as easy as breathing. As she came down the hill in a combat jog, Anarchia took aim at the closest one and let off aother two rounds. The lead let off another two bang and rocketted down before splattering the head of the hound. By the time she had reached the base of the hill, it was going to be CQC again. Quicker than the blink of an eye, Anarchia performed a tactical reload and had her large combat knife out before leaping and using her entire weight on plunging the large knife into the back of the beast before planting a round at point blank range through the base of the skull and out through between its eyes. The last was up to the man. She had done her human obligation in assisting him

Enter Einerax

His steps measured, Therion had a map out in his hands, cities and villages well documented as were the roads. It was a few years out of date so newer roads weren't on it just yet but the main one leading from Oevale to the main pass through Kell and the subsequent Arianna Mountains was there in detail.

He walked alone now, the aftermath of the earthquake evident and seeming to be far-reaching; he was several hours out of Oevale and here the trees were still broken like twigs and mounds of dirt had risen from the shifting of the earth. Broken carts lay to the sides, stripped of working parts cannibalized to fix others.

Following the direction of the path, it winded along the natural formations in a leisurely manner on its way to Kell. Though there was little time to go that way, Therion was unfamiliar with the area and with the possibility of an assassination looming overhead, it was best not to deviate. Still, time was certainly of the essence. Quickly rolling up the map, he slipped it into the briefcase before picking up a brisker pace.

Some time later, Therion was still alone, following the fallen signposts that denoted the ways to go, using his map when things proved to be more difficult. It was unusual for Aleros to be gone this long without an order. Which was usually something bad.

Punctuating that point was the flash of light that soared down from above to illuminate the road ahead. A trio of rings flowed down the pillar, terminatign into small rings of flame as the reach the bottom. Shielding his eyes from the bright light, Therion missed the figure that formed in it. The light faded almost as quickly as it came, a strange sound echoing out, metallic yet musical.

"It seems I'm the first one to you."

The voice was inhuman, devoid of anything at all except disappointment. It had a hollow sound but also a dead sound, as though the speaker was no longer there.

"Why were you chosen Therion?"

The new Lord Stark uncovered his eyes to appraise the new visitor. They were just under Therion in height and shrouded in red robes, overlaid in gold and covering everything but his eyes, the burning orange glow shining out. They were focused on Therion and flared with a brighter glow, the intensity of it making it obvious of the hatred toward him.

"It's a cruel joke on the rest of us, just like my life. So many better choices than you. So many more closer to Jerick than you. No one likes you anymore; not that they did before. You were never that good at making friends were you Therion?"

The robed figure began to walk towards Therion in slow, measured steps.

"And I'm not the only one. The others want you too, especially Marlexian. He wants nothing more than to rip the title from your cold dead fingers. He's been starving his pets just so they'll go berserk on you. Let's just make this easier on both of us. Give me the watch, and all of this will go away."

The man/woman stretched out an arm, the entire length of which was covered by the sleeve, several inches draping off the end of the long fingers that could be seen in the fabric.

"What makes you think they will accept you, Einerax?"

"I can kill them."

"You think I can't?"

"Yes."

The corner of Therion's lips curled slightly as he thrust his hand forward, a thin spear of shadow shooting out as a rapier formed, the tip speeding towards Einerax's heart. The robed figure made no move to dodge it, instead letting it pierce the fabric and go through him.

"You thought a mana-based weapon would work? Ryset thought that too. Too bad for the both of you it doesn't work."

The same pillar of light came down again and Einerax disappeared. The pillar came back down about 30 yards away and he reappeared.

"So what will you do Therion? Will you surrender your lordship or will I have to burn you to a cinder?"

The rapier in Therion's hand shimmered and collapsed back into his hand, becoming a ball of dark energy, arcs running across the surface. Pulling his arm back, he threw the mass at Einerax. Midway across the distance, beams of white light shot forth from Einerax's eyes, connecting at the shadebolt and blasting it then.

"Always resisting."

Einerax's arm jerked out, gesturing at Therion's feet. Below, the earth began to bubble and glow red as heat amassed beneath it. Moving quickly, Therion got out of the way just as the sunspot erupted, sending a plume of flame into the air, the trail of his cloak blackening with char before the magic imbued in it flaked it off and renewed the thread.

"You spent too long in Oevale, Therion."

Sweeping his hand back, a crescent of light sped towards Therion. Just as it suggested, it came at the spee dof light, slamming into the noble's midsection and carrying him into a tree behind him. Despite the force behind the attack, Therion showed no pain, his touch already devouring the life force of the tree he had been slammed against and deadening the pain. The leaves began to wilt and branches fell dead at Therion's feet.

"Oh yes, that will be difficult to overcome. Especially here in this lively area," Einerax laughed, obviously enjoying himself. "How much punishment can you take though?"

With a snap of his fingers, photons of light spread out around him before shooting out at Therion. Taking the shadow of the tree he was against, Therion brought it around like a shroud, deflecting the light to the sides since it could not penetrate the darkness. As the shadows fell away, Therion was nowhere to be seen.

"He's not going to help you you know. He's quite preoccupied with Myzreel elsewhere. It's just you and me, no need to hide at all."

Overhead, thunderclouds began to amass and a bolt of black lightning struck out over the sky.

"Well that certainly is strange..." Einerax murmured.

The lack of a sound from the lightning made it evident this was a completely magical storm. From behind another tree, Therion had summoned this storm and as the clouds advanced, the light grew dimmer, shadowing the ground for him.

Einerax's statement meant nothing to him; if Aleros was takign care of Einerax's demon, then he wouldn't have to worry about an extra combatant.

Overhead, it began to rain. Small drops of shadow fell from the clouds, making no sound as they hit the leaves and slid down to dissipate into the shadows.

[OOC]: Tipsy, I'm totally stealing your idea of titling your posts from now on. And also your wallet. -disappears-

The city was filled with these monstrosity that had chosen to attack her earlier. For a brief moment, she had thought that it was the work of her mighty father. Not because she left home without a word and he wanted her back, but because he wanted her dead, and as dead as can be when she is brought back. Then it figured that he would have been unnecessarily desperate to have done that - and he was not such a person.

Nevertheless, she continued sweeping some of these beasts out of the way as she walked. With her lightning magic, she made short work of the four-legged beasts. And of course, with these beasts on the loose, it seemed no one dared stay on the streets unless they have a fulfilled death wish. Deciding to use these chances, Gloria strolled over to a fruit vendor as she grabbed several apple and stuffed it into her bag.

She moved over to the jewelry stall while blasting some creatures and repeated her act. Perhaps it was looting or perhaps it was not. Either way, Gloria was thinking further ahead as she took all these. Maybe these people will not welcome her after the attack, but at least she will have enough to sell to feed her for some time.

[OOC: Open to any interaction. She's currently looting.]

ooc: Sorry for the late reply :sad2:

As the beasts began to surround him, Weiss heard the same bang from before fill the air as one of the beasts drop dead, looking to the hills he saw a woman clad in unfamiliar clothing weilding a small weapon in her hand, whatever it was it seemed to have projectile abilities and cut deeper than an arrow. Right now however he didn't have time to question it while these beasts were still capable of ripping him apart.

A moment later the woman charged in with a large knife, impaling another of the beasts before using the small projectile weapon again leaving one alive. Turning his attention to said beast he began to charge a fire spell to kill it but the beast had other plans and lunged at him, out of reflex however Weiss kept his sword forward at his waist leading the beast to impale itself as it fell on Weiss, crushing him beneath it's weight.

As he struggled to drag himself free he turned to his savior "Thanks for the help, who are you? I'm Weiss"

Dea Nyc Noctis Umbras

Oh... a map~

"Oh dear you don't have to! You two have done enough! I'll tell you what! You can come to my house any time if you happen to see one of my animals and I shall give you all the information I know huh? My husband was an old treasure hunter. For helping me I'll grant you two a treasure map of his! I'm sure you two young things could use whatever's in there, I'm fearing for the worst. Demon hounds like that haven't roamed Agia for centuries. I fear that a terrible demon may have returned. You two be careful out there now!"

It was troubling indeed. It meant that the world was becoming unstable. Perhaps something big was about to happen? Nonetheless, the farmer's wife handed them a map for some treasure that was hidden in the Arianna Mountains. The man, Levont opened it up and inside was a few details on the item itself and, of course, a map. "It wasn't a well drawn one" was Dea Nyx's first thought, which was a given since she herself is a map drawer. But that was besides the case. The treasure itself wasn't too enticing, though the cavern itself piqued her interest.

Perhaps another unexplored area to map?

"Hmm. A cursed necklace of power eh. Sounds interesting. Are you open for exploration miss..."

Pardon?

Dea Nyx face remained rather aloof and stoic. Inside her head, she was wondering whether she should just go on her own way or perhaps join this young man. Granted she could fight, but if the cave was really as dangerous as the farmer's wife said it was, then mapping it and exploring it would be difficult by herself. Dea Nyx signed internally. Cooly, she turn her face towards Levont

Dea Nyx. Dea Nyx Noctis Umbras is my name. I.... guess i can entertain the thought for a while.

The Arianna Mountain range loomed in the distance to the west, which split the continent in two It wasn't an overly long trip to the cave so it was a good thing to fill in time. Who knows? Perhpas they may find another path through the range?

Anarchia Iilyavich Vesperia - Sevensheep

Insufficient Intel

Quickly, with only one hound left, the young man dispatched the final beast, albeit rather clumsily. Its corpse fell onto him, sending both to the ground, but Anarchia didn't really care. Instead, she cleaned her knife and filled up her magazines. She now had two fill magazines and one with a single bullet in it. Her eyebrows frowned as she saw that she was running out of bullets real fast. Soon, she'd need to look for another weapon. Luckily, on her waist, she still held her coins, meaning her bloodline powers was still available for her.

"Thanks for the help, who are you? I'm Weiss"

Whilkst checking the action on the slide of her gun, Anarchia raised an eyebrow and turned her eye rightward to the young man. She ignored him for a second, continuing to finish her routine check before sliding the PPK into her thight holster. It was a bit awkward considering ti was under her skirt, but when she finished Anarchia fully turned to him. He was struggling to get free from under the beast and with a very audible, slightly irritated sigh, she walked up, planted her feet on the side of the beast and gave it a hefty shove. The hound slid off to one side, freeing the man, but Anarchia did not offer a hand to help him up. She had more she wanted out of him.

Can the niceties. I need information. Where am i?

Anarchia tapped her foot a few times before she sighed again. Was there a need to be this hostile? She ran her hand through her teal hair before sighing for the third time within minutes.

Alright.... I'll give you my name at the very least. I am
Anarchia Iilyavich Vesperia - Sevensheep, though that would be Ms Vesperia - Sevensheep to you.

Being cordial or not, she would not let those she does not acknowledge use her first name.

Levont Ienten.

Dea Nyx. Dea Nyx Noctis Umbras is my name. I.... guess i can entertain the thought for a while.

Levont smiled as Dea agreed to join him on his hunt for the necklace. He looked over towards the mountain range. He did not want to walk all the way over to the area, so Levont asked an all important question.

"I'm Levont Ienten. Well then. I got a question for you Dea. Are you afraid of heights?"

That was the only warning Lan gave before he picked Dea up bridal style avoiding the blade portion of her scythe and prepared to take off.

Two Battle Fronts.... Maybe

Einerax held out his hand, watching as the falling shadows pooled in the palm of his hand before sliding out and falling to the ground. The thunderheads now covered the area above him, obscuring the light from the sun. In the distance, the sunlight could be seen falling around the cloud, a sheet of light encircling them like the walls of an arena.

Beneath the folds of the robe covering his mouth, Einerax scowled for a second before he went into a coughing fit. Reflexively, he went to cover his mouth, his arm moving in slow motion before him until it came close and was spattered with small droplets of bright red blood.

By the time he could focus his attention away, the rain had become heavy sheets, difficult to see through. He could barely see the outlines of the first trees lining the road.

"Get out here Therion!" he roared.

Two shadebolts spun out from the tree line at different angles, both heading straight for Einerax. The same rays of light shot from Einerax's eyes again, neutralizing the spells. No sooner had they disappeared than another came from behind to burst into the Nova Mage's back.

Angered, Einerax tried to spin around but was slowed down again, creating a huge opening through which another shadebolt entered, impacting into Einerax's stomach, forcing him to double over.

Lookign back up, he saw Therion some distance away, standing in the shadow rain with another shadebolt cracking in his hand.

"What makes you think I didn't know you would be stronger? You're slightly faster than I accounted for but still no match. You never were Einerax. We may be perfect opposites but I outclass you."

Therion threw the shadebolt at Einerax, the orb slicing through the sheets of rain into Eienrax's chest, throwing him back.

"Tell me Einerax, how's your condition? As I recall, you were barely solid."

Einerax said nothing. In the distance, the cascading light grew brighter for a few seconds and the sound of the light pillar echoed above them.

"Trying to teleport out? Light can't penetrate this cloud cover. You're here until I let you go."

Einerax blinked and Therion disappeared from his range of vision. Trying to look both ways, he became aware of a presence behind him.

"Let's just see how far you've fallen."

Therion ripped off the top part of Einerax's robe. Underneath was a faint outline of a human body, the only discernable features being the glowing eyes set where the face would be.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Myzreel and Aleros' eyes met, a glare of hatred passing from Myzreel. The demon was, in the classical sense, truly demonic looking. Leathery wings were folded behind him and dull red scales covered his flesh. Two long ivory horns sprouted just above and behind his ears, sweeping back to a vicious point. The ears themselves were long and pointed, the same colour as the scales. Spikes jutted out along his arms and legs and his claws were a shining silver. He was grinning now, revealing the needle-like teeth in his mouth.

"Four of a kind," he said, laying down the five cards held delicately in his claws and revealing the four eights in his hand.

"Royal Flush," Aleros countered, revealing the spades set.

Aleros swept up the counters on the table and pocketed them with a smile.

"So you're only supposed to keep me busy?" he asked.

"Yeah," Myzreel muttered.

"Seems like you're losing a lot by doing it this way."

"Better than losing my life."

"Very true. Shall we go another round? I want that one soul you've got down in Lael."

Never Changing

"I'm Levont Ienten. Well then. I got a question for you Dea. Are you afraid of heights?"

Before Dea Nyx could say anything, this Levont scooped her up into a princess carry position, scythe and all. Like the Ice Queen that people say she is, Dea Nyx was completely unperturbed by the man's sudden contact besides her usual disdain for interaction. She had an idea that the man was going to take flight, hence his question and the position he carried her. What bothered her more than that was the fact that he called her Dea. In her typical indifferent and stoic tone, Dea Nyx responded to Levont

No, Mr Ienten. I am not afraid of heights. However, My name, is Dea Nyx. Please call me as such should you wish to address me.

OCC: touche. Here's some material to run with

Levont Ienten.

No, Mr Ienten. I am not afraid of heights. However, My name, is Dea Nyx. Please call me as such should you wish to address me.

"Ok Dea Nyx. How about calling me Levont then? Mr Ienten makes me feel older then I should be. In any case, take the map and navigate for me. I'm not that familiar with the area and this Twinling just got here from the
Unknown Lands." Levont muttered as he help the map out in front of Dea as best as he could without dropping her.

Levont smiled a bit as he soon took to the sky. Here among the clouds and rushing wind, the Twinling felt most relaxed as he flew towards the location with Dea's directions as a guide.

Earthly Realm

"Where has everyone gone?" Riley muttered to himself in confusion.

The dogs were laying dead and silent at his feet and his guitar case had been splashed fresh with their blood. The man look around and saw nobody. He heard screams and sirens and car alarms but as for where he was, the place was barren, completely empty. Riley walked cautiously away from his apartment building, even he knew that it wasn't safe where he was.

He walked out a block to the left of his building and spotted a church, it's doors wide open and a putrid smell wafting out onto the car littered streets. Not a soul alive could be found. Limbs belonging to dead bodies however were becoming common as he neared the church. "You must have missed the dogs." A growl from behind came.

"What's happened to the city?" Riley asked as he turned to greet the tough looking thugs who had seemed to follow him toward the bloodied church building.

The five men did not reply. They carried poles, knives and other seemingly harmful weapons with them. The one in the front who was a stocky looking man with a black beard and a serious gleam in his eye delivered the message that he was either being robbed, killed or both. "What are you doing?" Riley asked nervously clutching his guitar case.

"Just about to capture some prey." One of the gang of five replied when five loud shots rang out to which Riley closed his own eyes.

As he opened them he was greeted with the five men dead on the ground and a woman who seemed to work with the police judging from her outfit. "What? You're police, you cant-"

"Next time be more careful and run. If you linger on the streets it may be too late." the officer replied.

She sounded tough and she looked the part. "What's going on here? Why did you kill those-"

"Sh!" The officer interrupted as she motioned him to follow her to a nearby alley while staring cautiously into the distance behind them.

Orine growled with dissatisfaction. Of course his target would be nowhere in sight. He kicked the corpse of a dead servant of the church out of his way as he proceeded to exit the temple. The floors and the columns contained smeared blood. The elf was not satisfied as the blood did not belong to the High Priestess of the Thelmacain Temple. "This is all wrong this is a shame, forced to exit and she's still in this game."

The elf angrily bursts through the temple doors, walking fast out of the small village with a hardened heart. His blade danced wildly at the sight of every woman man and child who had crossed his path toward his exit. This had caused onlookers to run in fear, clearing the way of the elf from fear of their slaying also. Not one person dared to stop Orine and not one person could say that they did not feel fear as they witness the brutal murder of innocents from afar. The elf however payed them no mind, for he knew that he was running out of time.

"Sectumsial!" Melinda spoke as she stretched her staff outwards. She saw herself split into multiple identical copies before her very eyes. Melinda was pleased, she took a moment to admire her own soft looks and was grateful to retain her youthful looks at such an old age. "Now go and find the Heroes." she spoke to her copies.

They obeyed and ran off without a sound. The high priestess was content with this and decided to work upon her next spell. She would need to speak with the heroes soon or else the world would be on the brink of changing for good.

A priestess approaches! - {Everyone}
- A woman in a holy garb with a staff approaches you. She tells you to follow her to the Mana tree for something very important!

Cutting down the last of the hounds that appeared before Gordon, Gordon sheathed his sword. Almost immediately afterward, a woman appearing to be a priestess approached him. "Come to give me thanks? I'd rather take payment, but it's my pleasure." Gordon said to the priestess. The priestess completely ignored him though, and she immediately told him to follow her to the mana tree.

"What's the payment?" Gordon said curiously.

"Your life and everyone elses."

"Well, that sounds kinda heavy. Well, something tells me I should indeed follow you, but it's kind of a long walk, isn't it?"

With that Gordon began to follow the holy woman to the Mana tree. What could she possibly want with him there? Gordon was unsure why he was actually following her, but no matter. Now that he was there was no turning back.

Alright.... I'll give you my name at the very least. I am Anarchia Iilyavich Vesperia - Sevensheep, though that would be Ms Vesperia - Sevensheep to you.

"Vesperia - Sevensheep, doesn't sound like any old name you'd hear around here, you someone important I take it?"

As Weiss cleaned off his blade and sheathed it he looked out to the vast plains before them "Where did you come from anyway? Most people have at least a vague idea of where they're headed, don't you have a map or something?"

At least, that was the plan. Just at that moment, Levont saw on a high ground, a lady holding out her staff as if she were waving them down. Slowing down, Levont flew up to the lady as he shuffled Dea a bit.

"Yes?" Levont asked.

Looking at the lady now, it was obvious that she does not belong in the mountains or traveling. Yet there she was, telling him to head to the Mana Tree for something very important. Levont sighed a bit.

"I don't know if I want to or not. What about you Dea Nyx?" Levont asked to his impassive looking rider in his arms.

OOC: i cannot believe this, but i have trouble spelling her second name on the top of my head... and i wrote her too *facepalm*

Anarchia Iilyavich Vesperia - Sevensheep

Yakkity Yak Yak

You're new to the area? Suppose that makes two of us, this is South Siard from what I gather? Vesperia - Sevensheep, doesn't sound like any old name you'd hear around here, you someone important I take it?"

Anarchia was already beginning to regret being cordial. Luckily, her eyes and eyebrow was always in a serious position. Other wise, the man may find out she was not in the best of moods for long ramblings. By habit, she had her arms crossed across her chest and began tapping her toes, something she did when she was dealing with subordinates or annoying officials that she cant be bothered dealing with. At the very least, she got South Siard from it. Not that it did her any good as she has no idea where that is.

"Where did you come from anyway? Most people have at least a vague idea of where they're headed, don't you have a map or something?"

A map huh.....

Stopping her foot, Anarchia put a hand into her pack and pulled out and unfolded the silk map she had. It was a map(more intricate detailed. Balaika stretches from all of Russia, and all of Eastern Europe as well as Germany and Austria. So France and Italy is its borders.) of her world. Of course, there was no South Siard on it.

Well... a fat lot of good this will do. I dont suppose this is what your world looks like...?Ill assume that town is... part of Siard?

Anarchia turned the silk map to Weiss, hoping the man would find the Siard on it. At the very least, she could conclude that this area was probably just some desolate alcove sheltered from technology and that a few days of trekking could get her out of here.

Hold onto my map and see if you can recognise any of the landmass while we head towards that.... town. I've wasted enough time as it is. I DO want that back, understood?

Setting off at a brisk pace, Anarchia entered into the town and it was in chaos. People were running in fear as there were signs of recent attacks. Bodies of the hounds laid dead at palces, but there were more humans than dog bodies. Those that were alive were either fleeing or looting and that irked Anarchia.

Scums....

One such looter pulled a small knife on the Captain in an attempt to mug her.

Oi... What pretty hair you have... That coat looks nice too.... Give it over and i might not skewer you that mu...ARGH!

Before he even finished, a Basilong knife was stuck in his left eye. On its handle was Anarchia's teal gloved hand. So fast was her draw that the man didnt notice it until he crossed his right eye and saw the blade stuck in his other eye. Overwhelmed with pain, the man dropped his own knife and clawed at his face and at the blade, trying to yank it out, but to no avail. Anarchia's grip was like iron and after a few more seconds, she yanked the blade out, spun it with an open palm spin into a reversed grip and without hesitation, sunk it straight into the man's heart.

Do not point a weapon at me.

It wasn't a request. It was a statement. Wiping the blood off of the blade, Anarchia spotted a jeweler's store that has been busted open. Balisong still out Anarchia marched to the door and stood imposing at the frame. There were two boys that were near the shop front, rummaging when she casted a shadow over them. Despite being boys of 16 and 17, the woman in front of them seemed alien. Her hair was out of the world, her eyes were cold and merciless and the blade in her hand still had a hint of red on it.

Out.

That was all they needed to send them scurrying through the windows. However, there was one woman further in the back. She was armoured and relatively tall, different from that of those street urchins.

Having fun there, ma'am....?

The disdain and sarcasm in her voice was hard to cover, but Anarchia was never one to cover what she thought.

OOC: Indeedy touche. She is cold, this one. In fact, both of my characters are. She is gonna keep calling u by last name until later

Dea Nyx Noctis Umbras

Checking the Greenery

I don't know if I want to or not. What about you Dea Nyx?"

It was obvious for Dea Nyx. This treasure hunt wasn't that high on her list. Her curiosity as to the earthquake and the sudden appearance of this priestess woman so shortly after, urging us to head to the Mana Tree was more intriguing. Could the earthquake have something to do with the Mana Tree? Did something happen there to have caused such a massive disturbance?

I shall head to the Tree Mr Ienten. For me, that treasure can wait.... but if you want, then you can go ahead and claim it. If that is the case, then our paths split here.

Dea Nyx made for a motion to getting off of his arm, should Levont decide to go for the treasure instead. To the lady, Dea gave her response.

I will head to the Mana Tree with post haste in that case, Ma'am. I myself want to seek some answers.

Levont Ienten

Levont was not interested for a meeting by a tree. He did not know the area and any chance to explore for him was worth much more then any meeting for some Miko trying to get him into their religion.

"I think I'll pass on the meeting. There's treasure waiting for me and besides, if the lady is here, why not just tell us what's wrong now? In any case, if you do have a meeting, send me the summary of that meeting." Levont muttered as he placed Dea Nyx on the ground beside the Miko. Pulling out the map, Levont saw that he was close to the entrance of the cave that held the treasure.

"That treasure is nearby, I'll be seeing ya Dea Nyx." Levont muttered as he started to fly towards the entrance of the cave and soon enough, he spotted the entrance. Looking around the area, Levont found some discarded wood. It was mostly likely from one of the adventurer that tried to reach the cave and either died or got scared off. Taking the time to make a torch, Levont soon had light as he entered the cave entrance with the map in one hand.

"I hope I don't have to fight. There's enough room just to swing my scythe." Levont muttered as he continued to walk deeper into the cave with the map for a guide. Soon enough, Levont reached the location where the necklace should be held at as Levont smiled.

"Looks like this is the place and I think I've been ripped off." Levont muttered as he saw nothing that looked like a necklace and plenty of skeletons bones of those who has possibly been here before. Just then, he noticed a oddly shaped hole that kinda looked like an alter with some weird necklace like time. Walking up to it, Levont reached out to grab it.

And Light shall Fall

It was pitiful. Einerax had become a shade of his former self. Less than a shade even, his outline blurring with the surrounding existences. Once defined features no longer showed, replaced by nonexistance. The last remnant of his consciousness showed only in the blazing eyes that wanted to radiate white lances of pure rage at Therion.

The young Lord Starke kicked his younger brother forward, the magical rain slowing him down as he sprawled forward.

"You were always worthless; never able to even stand up for yourself, hiding behind your affliction. And you thought you would be able to stand up to me just because I've been away. It's because you're an overconfident, self-destructive idiot that Marlexian or anyone else hasn't killed you already. We always knew that you'd do it for us. And in ten years, you've proven us right."

Therion sneered as another shadebolt gathered in his palm, this one much larger, like an electrically charged black hole. Overhead, the clouds began to dissipate, tendrils of smoky black twisting down to feed the growing shadebolt. An eye began to appear in the storm and a blast of light punched through, falling to land on Einerax.

As the light fell on him, the fading outline that he was vanished, the glowing orange orbs of his eyes fading with them into nonexistence. His robes fell to the ground, devoid of any life and just as soon, the pillar of light dissolved. The empowered shadebolt flew from Einerax's hand, obliterating the last remnants of Einerax's existence.

From the treeline, Aleros walked out, replacing a small box in his pocket. From the other side of the road a woman in holy garb stepped from the shadows. Instantly, Aleros' hands were at his waist, fingers gripping his swords; Therion made no motion to dissuade him. The priestess went on to tell him that he was needed at the Mana Tree.

Therion gazed at the priestess for a few seconds, his eyes a mixture of displeasure, annoyance, and a supreme loathing for the religious. Ignoring her further he walked past her, Aleros a few steps behind, his eyes wary on the priestess. He could feel her eyes watching him as he left.

"The answer is still no," he said coldly, leaving the mysterious woman behind and continuing to Kell.

OOC: Hey Bathoin, if you want a bit of company, Therion is walking parallel to the mountain range and I can find you relatively easily. Well, someone can...

OOC: Sod it, creativity be damned, I will post something! :rage:

Taking the map from the woman, Weiss took a moment to examine it, his confused expression not leaving his face as he turned it clockwise and anticlockwise, trying to make heads or tails of it unsuccessfully. "As stupid as this probably sounds, my knowledge of the world isn't much greater, I spent most of my life in a more... Woodland community, though one things for certain, South Siard isn't on that map, heck, all those places don't mean a thing to me"

When he looked up to face her, she'd already moved into the town of South Siard, following after her he saw her getting attacked, or rather attacking a man unfortunate enough to threaten her. Following after her in case anyone else got on her bad side they arrived at a looted store, waiting outside he looked inside as he heard her voice, seemingly directed at whoever was inside.
