He really did cry, the DM eventually resurrected his character just to make it stop. And people thinking crying never helps :P
 
I never cried over my RP characters. I've never had a real problem with killing them off if I feel like it's necessary or they've run their course
 
same here (more especially in mecha RP's) I'm not afraid to kill characters if they run their course, or (in the case in the upcoming 2nd chapter of the Kingdom Hearts RP) if it is essential to the plot.
 
well in my defence this was a pen and paper rpg character whom i had played for a good while and then died in a rather lame manner.

Basically a bunch of us (playing rather badass vampires) were clearing out this gold mine so we could reopen it and it was over run with robot spiders which we tossed down the central shaft so they'd blow up on the bottom (did i forget to mention that they blew up when they died after a while) so we clear our way down to the bottom kick massive ass on the bottom and then my char goes KO and *boom* Not exactly a very good ending to a character you spent what, at that point about a year playing ever two weeks?

Oliver, if I took on a third character, could I make it be a teacher? I already know what the teachings would be...

Personality: He is a highly reputed man, and he tries his best to really get to know his students. He is very friendly and kind, offering his friendship to anyone that he can approach. He never tries to pressure anyone, especially not a student, and he likes to remain on good terms with all the other staff members. Also, he encourages students to go out and do missions, so that they get more than class experience. Mostly, he is kind, but of someone gets on his off side, he will get very angered. When he is angry, he tends to be a bit loose with his words, but it is generally hard for him to get on his bad side.
Abilities: He can teach any kind of magic, as he knows them all. He can manipulate elements, he can heal wounds, he can also put up various protective barrier. He has a book that enables him to access virtually any spell, but that doesn't mean he can cast every spell in said book, he as a few more years for that.
History: Oracio was born of normal family circumstances and he was gifted with magic. His family was full of red mages, but he was large on knowing the magic end of everything and never really practiced his marksmanship. Due to this, his family was always coming to him for help on magic tips. This made him influenced to become a teacher, so he applied to Eureka academy where he also had graduated from. He has been teaching the maical arts ever since, teaching mostly the advanced students.

I think he's referring to the game you got that picture from. Any ways I'm not sure if you really read Frenzy's post. But they are in space, you can't really walk there.

and I did read it, there was nothing said about going to space through any teleportation, his character cannot simply walk out of a room, even if they were, I left it vague for that reason. the magic holding them to space would have to exist on a realistic stand point, with the student being in the room when she was sent there, I was left ti interpret said stand point as the room she was in before. Trust me, I do read up on posts. I was also asked by Crimson Wolf to help him out here, so i did. I saw a lot wrong with it anyway, i.e.

Using a damaging type magic would be necessary to push the button, and if you read Sophia's bio, she wouldn't use it at all

Who is FF to judge the species created by Crimson Wolf himself to say they have an avatar? This is rp, that is something I see as wrong. In example, most of my characters have magic, but the use not "avatar" they use talents, abilities, and their own soul. He seems to have added a feature to a species he didn't create. I see that as wrong

There is more, but I was asked to help and got permission from Oliver to do so. So I had to intervene.

Well I don't really care since it doesn't involve Ravona. I do need something to keep Ravona occupied for the rest of the day though. Guess she'll have to bother the new teacher.
 
My teacher? He teaches all sorts of magics, what are you willing to learn?
 
I was thinking something like counter magic, she can already dispel but not actively counter which I think is something she would want to know.

Reflective barriers would also work well.
