Does anyone here like FFX enough to play it again?

I'm about to play it again! :busta: This will be playthrough #6 (or so, I lost count, but it has been re-played very often)
Anyone here still can't get enough of the battle system and the leveling system? They seem quite simple and yet so very interesting.

Leveling maybe, not necessarily the battle system.

However if I play FF games over, I try and do the fan made challenges, I complete the game of level 1, ot use not items.
I tried IX again to get the Excalibur II. XD fun fun!

i do like it although i have stopped playing it, not for any fault of his own, BUT i know i will get back to it.

This one of the few Ive replayed I cant count how many times, yes its worth it in my book. I was actually thinking once I finish up Star ocean till the end of time (replaying it) i might go back to FFX :)

I'd say that the replay value is really low. I'm not talking about the story now, just the gameplay. If play the game as some sort of interactive movie, you might enjoy it more:

1) Sidequests are challenging, but not fun. I can't see why I'd want to dodge 200 lightning bolts again. I've already proven that I can do it, so the only reason to do it again is for the fun of it.

2) Almost no sidequests are available until the end of the game. In FFVII you could always try to get the Omnislash Disc 1, get Aerith's 4th limit break, get her umbrella and so on. In FFVIII you get Lionheart on Disc 1. In FFIX you could collect frogs or do a lot of chocobo digging. In FFX you have blitzball, but the only thing that is of any interest is Attack Reels.

3) No miss-able items. While many people hate miss-able items, they are actually really great for the replay value. Especially if you don't use a guide and find them by accident on your second playthrough.

4) Gameplay is too repetive. The entire game is basically about fighting the same enemies with different HP. There are sidequest, but these are repetive as well. I mean, Blitzball is so easy a monkey could master it. Playing it for 15 hours, winning each game with 8-0 is neither fun or challenging. The thing about scouting players may have been fun if it actually mattered.

5) No world map. It may seem as a small thing, but to me it isn't. Everytime I play FFVII-FIX, I'm yearning for the airship. It feels so great when I finally can fly around and do whatever I want. Spira doesn't feel like a world to me, more like a big island.

6) Too time consuming. Again, it's ridiculous how much time certain things take, such as Blitzball. They could have done it really challenging and reduced the number of games instead. I don't like games that are only about endurance.

Another example is the sphere grid. It's fun to play around with at first, but when you start levelling up faster, you realise how stupid it is. It shouldn't take half an hour just to level up your characters.

7) Very few funny moments. In FFVII you had to dress up like a girl, FFVIII had some funny moments as well, such as the Laguna episodes. FFIX manages to combine humour with existentialism in a really clever way. But FFX has almost no funny moments. So again, even though the story is exciting the first time you play the game, it's not entertaining.

Right now I'm playing FFX-2 and actually enjoy it quite a bit. Yeah, it's a bit too easy, but it has some really funny moments. And minigames such as sphere break actually requires some thinking, compared to braindead games like Blitzball. I will probably replay this game several times, but I can't see myself returning to FFX.

Final Fantasy X is replayable simply because it is so good. I do agree with the sentiment that blitzball is too time consuming and that the minigames are tough (they really just require practice), but it is not required to do any of the minigames or sidequests to complete the main story.

I played through it for the first time in May and I've almost completed a second playthrough. I will be coming back to this game many times in the future.

Yes, yes I do. X was amazing to me. I absolutely love it. It shall be replayed once it comes out for the PS3 and Vita.

I can't wait for it to come out on PS3, I was thinking about replaying it about a week before the announcement, it was like a dream actually did come true (it's a shame it wasn't one of my dirty dreams though :hmmm:)

When it does come out, nothing will be able to stop me from playing it. Good thing I have some sick days lined up at work :whistle2:

^I've been wanting to play X so much lately, then I find out my copy was stolen (It's a long story), and thus I can't!

Haha, that's awesome. Skip some days. Your boss doesn't have to know. ;)

This is the only game I can recall replaying.

I've played right through to the end around 7 times now?

It's such an awesome game and I can just never get sick of it. >.<

I haven't played it in quite a while actually, nor have I played it on my new awesome T.V. I must do something about that. :britt:

The storyline is just so intriguing and it's by far my favourite Final Fantasy game. <3

ive played through it more than once, i really like the game. fucking hate some of the mini quests - i absolutely abhor blitzball, but on a whole i love the game and i can grit my teeth to get through the butterfly hunt and stuff

yh i would play it again anyday... awesome story, characters are decent (tidus is questionable :wacky:) and awesome gameplay... i'm gonna hold on til it get released on the vita with the hd remake.. but apart from that yh would love to play it again :D

I would play it again. I would keep to the story this time around rather than the tedious side-quests, but the story alone is worth revisiting. It might be a little too biblical for my tastes, but it's still a wonderful take on humanity, and the consequents' of our actions.

I've already played through it a few times since it came out. In my opinion, it's definitely one of those games you can pick up and play anytime you're bored, and with the new HD remake coming out, I can play it on the go with the Vita, which I'm looking forward to doing. :3

Yes, I do. ^_^

For whatever reason, X is the Final Fantasy I play through the most and don't really get tired of grinding in and getting everybody about the best that I can get them. Blitzball is a pain, but I just blow through the whole thing and enjoy the sick music. :lew:
I've never won the tournament, not even come close. I regret nothing.

my first playthrough of X was fun, but I didn't find myself all that attached to the characters. Looking back, the best parts of X are the fast-paced battles and the vibrantly colored landscapes. I wouldn't mind playing it through a third time. It helps that I love water.

I liked FFX, it was fun and I can't say I have anything to complain about it, except that I remember it being extremely girly and giggly and then of course they made it more obvious in FFX2 which I don't mind, just saying. I haven't played neither games in years but I'm certainly thinking about replaying them.

Well, I'm about to play it again in a few hours, so YES. I've only played though this game once, (Captured everything, got all legendary weapons and their upgrades :monster: ).
The thing I will do different this time, is that I will use the normal grid, just to see what the difference is and how/if it will affect the game significantly for me. I'm courious to see how the characthers will turn out in the normal grid.
This time I'll also try beating the Dark Aeons :elmo: and the Arena Boss :reptar: without Zenmato :starwars:

XD i've re-played it so many times i lost count at about 236 and i love blitzball when lvled up a bit in it... it a pain at the start but as you become a higher lvl its easier and more fun
