Is much as I'd love a serious discussion about this, I can't see it happening so I put it in FFF.

It's really just a mocking of Adamant's latest obsession with the anatomy of FF creatures.

They might be like some fish where their bits are inside until they are ready for a bit of hanky panky then it just kinda pops out and into the lady fish, IVE SEEN IT HAPPEN :rage:

I would have said it was more like a dog. Inside them whilst they move, and when thy land they flop out.

Or maybe those spikes on their heads interlock?

Surely a male Bomb would have trouble having fun with its lady Bomb because the male Bomb would get too big and just blow up, spontaneously blowing up the lady Bomb as well. :hmmm:
 
As stated earlier, I think they reproduce by asexual reproduction, probably through some form of budding. Any "genitalia" would probably be burned apart by their extreme outer body temperature, so sexual contact seems unlikely. Perhaps they grow off of volcanic rock, much like a fungi?

As also stated earlier, the Hot Skitty on Wailord Action principle pretty much assures that any fantasy creature, no matter how absurd their anatomy is, will manage to reproduce in ways we cannot comprehend. I think it's rather naive to assume that Bombs are limited to mere male/female divisions or even bother to search out mates. Have you seen any age or appearance distinctions inside their species? Of course not.

Try to see life from the Bomb's perspective. He's busy trying to kill wandering heroes all the time, and half the time he ends up exploding anyways. He doesn't have time to go around searching for a wife and convince her to have kids, it's probably much more convenient to just leech off some hot rock and hope more bomblings sprout off of it.

Id say they hide their bits cause they dont want people to be messing with them XD Random bloody question, this one will keep me awake at night now >.<
 
Final Fantasy 12 says this about the Mom Bomb:

Though they are individuals, as a side-effect of their simultaneous creation they are as facets of a single consciousness, and have been known to coordinate their attacks on intruders to deadly effect."

In which case these Bombs just sound like lingering remnants of ancient sorcerers, and hardly a creature capable of reproducing at all. Which leads me to wonder why they haven't been wiped into extinction ages ago.

On another note, that fish sex I witnessed resulted in baby fish!

This "ramming" you're talking about is in fact bomb sex. This is how they mate. Thier bitty parts are only exposed when they explode causing the spawning of new mini bombs.

Bombs can reproduce with open flames who arent living as well to create more. While bomb sex isn't needed for this, they can consume the flame and then crap out another bomb...
