Terra and Cloud may be people to fight in Cosmos story POVs, but I don't think we'll actually control them in the Duodecim story. They mentioned how Duodecim itself is roughly 15 hours of story, and I think that means it'll only cover the story modes of the "new" characters in Duodecim. But there's always free battle

If that happens, Edgar or Celes better be the character to represent their game.

I would just be crushed if you can't be Terra, or even one FF6 character that needs to be ported to a game like this.

Now we need to see Faris, Eiko/Beatrix and Celes/Edgar and this will be the second best handheld game ever created.

And they do, I really like how my Buntz, Tifa and Yuna look, they look gorgeous/handsome. :3

I agree with Terra, not being able to play as Cloud or Terra would just be....heartbreaking.

Also Tidus isn't on the box either. What's Tidus doing on the Chaos side ?? Tidus doesn't seem the type to be evil. He's too happy-go-lucky.

Something interesting if you come to think about it, the representations for Chaos vs Cosmos would be near balanced if Cloud, Terra and Tidus are all Chaos sided. This could mean something that the two final revealed characters may be Chaos reps. Or, and a crackpot theory as this is, Shuyin may have something to do with Tidus being on the Chaos side. They are technically the same person.

Also, rewatching the Jump Festa Trailer.. none of them are present at the meeting with Cosmos. Jecht is, but there's no Tidus, Cloud or Terra.

I think you may be on to something with all of this. It would make a lot of sense if Terra, Cloud and Tidus were now on the side of Chaos. It would help keep the war in balance, and will explain them being hinted at being on different sides in the first game.

With Terra and Cloud it is easy to imagine, but with Tidus it is a bit more a stretch. Perhaps the link with Shuyin could be made here. Admittedly I don't know much about FFX-2, so I can't comment much on the significance of Shuyin (other than that I believe he is

Two more villains to even it out would be great, and I'm happy to accept that now if it were to be the case. Any less and I'd feel a bit let down.

And Tidus on the Chaos side? That's hard for me to imagine. But Shuyin having an influence on Tidus does make sense though.

Same. It'll be a shame if Cloud and Terra weren't playable. I was looking foward to playing as them in Duodecim's story.

tidus might not be on the chaos side..... they might annonce shuyin as a character

An evil Terra will be a nice addition though I would like to know the reason why they picked these 3 to be on Chaos's side. Can not wait to find out. I just hope nobody accidentally spoils the information. Also Yuna is looking very beautiful in that piece of art. That being said Yuna and Tifa will mostly be my main characters. But I will always like Terra even if she is evil xD.

I can easily see why they picked Terra and Cloud, as both have been

manipulated to do evil by powerful evil forces. Terra was controlled, albeit temporarily, with the slave crown in FFVI, and Cloud was manipulated via Jenova cells to do Sephiroth's bidding at certain points of FFVII

.

They've both

fallen victim to becoming puppets at different points. Perhaps Terra will be working with Kefka in this (though I don't recall seeing the slave crown, I can't remember), and perhaps Sephiroth is manipulating Cloud

.

As for Tidus, other than the Shuyin connection I think we're all eager to find out what may be the reason for his siding with Chaos, if he is indeed sided with Chaos at all.



I spoilered this post because I wasn't sure if you meant that you don't want to know possible reasons why they may have swapped sides, etc.

Well yeah I know that but perhaps it will be a little different. But I know she will not stay evil the whole time during the game. Perhaps at one point you free her from being mind controlled. Like in Dissidia I where you fought her as Onion Knight while she was being mind controlled and brought to Chaos's side for a short while. As for Cloud I am sure he will become good also. Tidus also. Since this is a prequel we kind of know from the first Dissidia that they will eventually turn good. I just want to see how which I find to be interesting.

Oh, I see.

Well perhaps we'll see Terra, Cloud and Tidus join the side of cosmos similar to the way in which some members of Chaos in the first game started to help their Cosmos counterparts.

Perhaps we'll see them as evil to begin with, but then snap them out of it, and they are then recruited by Cosmos to replace those who have since fallen / switched sides. By that logic we may also have to see why characters such as Jecht switch from Cosmos to Chaos.

I think people aren't giving enough credit to Jecht-the guy was a real asshole to Tidus as kiddo going by FFX. He could probably have inadvertently been enough to drive Tidus to Chaos-if that happens

Two more Chaos reps would be kewl too. I could see Celes being on Chaos because she was Kefka's comrade before it all went to hell (she probably could be the one to remove Kefka's infleunce over Terra in Duodecim because she's had enough of him or whatever?).

Beatrix again would make plenty of sense too, so there's that.

And I just want Faris. I have no justifiable plot reason aside from her being a little closer to Bartz than the other FFV characters. I just want her 'cause I think she's kewl. Amano based Nomura Faris would make me drool.

In a nutshell, the deal with Tidus and Shuyin is pretty much that. I think that maybe a connection to Yuna could be made some how in this game. He was pretty dead set on coming back to her, so maybe Chaos makes some sort of promise to him to reunite them if he joins.. nah way too romantical and OOC... granted that was fairly spot on with what happened to Shuyin. I don't know.

Either way I want Shuyin as an alt at the very least. If Light gets Aya fucking Brea, who has no connection to the game, they can give me Shuyin.

I dunno if just Jecht being on the same side would be enough to drive Tidus away. Granted maybe if Tidus is starting out on Chaos side it may make sense some how, but if he was good, then switched bad, then good again, without any sense of mind control involved... well it's just gotta be something interesting.

If Terra is on the evil side right now, then it probably won't be Celes...right? She might be the next representative for their for the evil team in the next prequel.

Unless Dissidia will switch some things up from the story...

I just hope they don't ruin the chance they got with creating something awesome with Terra being on the evil side.

Maybe they can reveal what might have happened when she was in Kefka's possession in the game? :33

I go with whispering in each other's ears or uninterrupted eye-contact for five minutes.

On a serious note, there is a really, really, really high chance Terra is working for the baddies (Personally, I know she is, but my word isn't enough xD), nothing really about Cloud, or Tidus.

Though Cloud might be evil, and that could explain why Tifa entered the game, to help? I dunno, there are many possibilities...

How about the fact that Cloud is actually controlled by a big bad plus the fact that he's not around... it makes sense he'd be a baddie in this game.

I mean, this kind of thing IS part of Cloud's character. He battles the darkness/bad in him.

Though Cloud might be evil, and that could explain why Tifa entered the game, to help? I dunno, there are many possibilities...

I was thinking something like that. Maybe it's like what it was in VII. Cloud questions his existence and whether he's real and Tifa has to confirm that he's real.

I only could imagine Cloud as an Baddie ONLY if he basically never leaves sephiroths side. Other wize i really couldnt see it. Cosmos Jecht really makes me think Tidus is gonna be the baddie. Yeah.. I mean. Not only would it spice up the rivalry between Jecht and Tidus. IT would make perfect Drama between The Trio.(Yuna,Tidus,Jecht) Jecht could agree to be a Chaos minion To save his Son Tidus from becoming fully emersed in darkness. Because it Still plays into dissidias story.TIdus fits it better because he has a reason to be Evil. Revenge. Or they could pull an anikin, have him tricked into joining to "Protect" Yuna. Ultimatly having her dying(Like padme) So Tidus=Anikin Jecht=Obi-wan Yuna=Padme type Story. Or again they could shove The "I HATE YOU TO YEVON DAD!" down our throats. Both Would work i guess."

I think something along those lines would make sense, for all of them.

I think this could turn out to be interesting if it does end up being the case. I'd forgive them for not giving us enough villains if they write some of the heroes being on the side of Chaos into the story well.

Despite possibly already having two villains for FFVI, I still hold out hope for Leo or Celes as a means to recognise that Kefka is going too far / is wrong, and to snap Terra out of her slavery.

That said... Looks like Vaan is playing the role of Locke, and will likely essentially do that for her anyway...
