lol, female WoL. With the whole Golbez/Chaos thing, a while back I actually thought that in some freaky way

But yeah, I agree-Lightning is the current marketing ploy from S-E, so they'll pimp her out. Maybe not as much as Cloud, but it's happening.

More Random: If Jecht is on Cosmos' side, then how is his relationship with Tidus gonna be like? I'm almost certain those CGI scenes we see of everyone fighting will be close to the end of Duodecim's story, so that bit where he and Tidus are headbutting each other tells me that this is after Jecht goes to the Chaos side :hmmm:

I have to admit, that would look awesome as an actual front cover of the box. It would work much better than cramming everyone in and making the cover look awfully crowded like in the first Dissidia. I can definitely see the whole character ensemble looking good on the back as well. :ryan:
 
Tbh, I kinda liked the initial cover. However, with more and more characters being added, then it will definitely looked crowded. I do kinda like this new cover art, but I'm not gonna get to excited over it because I can see it being completely different come the final result. But ya never know, I may be wrong, it could be something similar.

Also that WoL being Cosmos idea sounds freeeakeh, but would be a rather fascinating twist that would either make or break the story depending on how it's pulled off
 
To be honest, I didn't completely beat Dissidia's story, so maybe I missed something, but the thing with Golbez and Chaos really threw me off when I saw that scene in the game.

I mean how does that work?
Golbez and Chaos being the same person? Why even include it in the first place? Not to mention Golbez seemed to have a better understanding of things than Chaos himself,
so I'm confused :ness:

As for a crowded cover, I agree it wouldn't leave much, er, breathing room, so maybe they'll just put the new characters on the front, and leave the original characters for the back..?
 
... I think you have Golbez confused with Garland :wacky:

And I imagine DUodecim will clear up Chaos' amnesia... Hopefully :hmmm:

It was from the original FFI plot, you see.
Garland and Chaos are both from the original Final Fantasy. You beat Garland at the start of the game, but instead of dying, he is instead, sent back in time, by the power of the four crystals, and there he sends the four fiends to the present to drain the power of the crystals. And through some...weird technicality, it allows him to live forever by creating this time loop?
It is very complex and even with the amount of times I've completed FFI, I'm still not a hundred percent sure of it so I'mma just leave this link here. :wacky: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Garland_(Final_Fantasy)

But ja, it was all done for the sake of paying homage to the series. If you play, or at least read about the plot of FFI, you'll understand why it was there a bit more.

But alright, so I should probably get around to beating FF1 one of these days xD

...So wait, does that mean Dissidia really is happening in the FF1 universe? I mean, I know there was the same world map, but I thought that was just a homage thing too o_O
 
It seems that though there will be parts from all other FF worlds, it'll be dominately FFI, I guess making that the base world. And I guess with it being the original, making that the base world would make the most sense.

This is all getting me hyped up now to see where they're actually going with this :hmmm: Looks like if they wanted to spark curiousity, they done a damn good job of it xD

Since I don't see Terra in there with the goody peoples, I'm going to assume that I and the others were correct that she is working for the big baddies for this one!

And oh snap! Terra and Sephiroth working together against Cloud? Or is it Sephy and Cloud working against Terra? Oh well! I know now that Terra is going be on the evil side, which means story-line wise, I will hopefully be able to win against a hero and completely annihilate them!

It's probably just a starter version, I imagine there'll be a full/fuller cast by the time they release the final version :hmmm:

She could simply have her own hand on her waist, it is one of her regular poses tbh

Also why is Lightning getting the front? WoL IS LEADER, GET OUT OF HIS WAY :rage:

That's not her hand, and if it is, they screwed up royally. That hand shouldn't have the thumb where its placed currently.

When you look at the other image though, on the back cover, Lightning looks exactly the same... and Tifa's not near her. So unless Laguna's got his hand that looks mysteriously like Tifa's on her waist too.... it's Lightning's own hand. :wacky:
 
It is Lightning's own hand, you can have your thumb pointed towards your back, so that the... U form between your thumb and index finger is resting on your hip. Like Jess said, Tifa's no where near her in the other pic, and Tifa's arm position looks way too far back to have it resting on L's hip. xD
