you know we have a what's the mood thread... what about a dear diary thread.. sooo you like pretend you are writing in a diary and you an just put stuff about your life in it.. just an idea what do you think

I think the 'what's your mood' 'what cheered you up' 'what pissed you off' etc threads are enough, I'd definitely not write in a diary thread.

Calm down Toni-son. Welcome to write a thread up, there's no rules against it Steve. If people post, so be it! Who knows, it could be the most popular thread out there eventually, but unless a Mod posts it or it is very popular we usually don't sticky it.

That said, I agree with Toni, I think it'd be an interesting idea, but we sort of already have everything it would consist of. And most people posts in those things for post count so they'd probably use the separate ones more so than just the one.

as far as i can see, we already have an entire forum for it. diaries are supposed to be personal accounts aren't they? i can't imagine anyone wanting to publicise every tiny little thing in their life at all, let alone on a gaming forum.

and on the subject of all those what's your mood threads, why don't we just merge them all into one single banter thread? the way they are now, it's just people posting what they've done today and not really starting up any sort of conversation, which is pretty much what spam is at the end of the day. at least one thread, like the chit chat ones in the staff at vets forums would make for a bit of back and forth.

I'm not even sure how the "What pissed you off today?" and "What cheered you up today?" threads started but everything in those threads would fit just fine in "What's your mood?"

I think we should close the Temple of the Ancients, it's shit.
I don't like the what is your mood thread, but there's several like that in other sections, what are you listening to, what movie did you last see, what game are you currently playing etc etc. They aren't supposed to generate conversations, they are there so people like the milfybro and myself can increase our postcounts.
There was always a dear diary thread in survivor but that was never taken seriously, that is the only way this idea would work. Otherwise everyone would be wallowing is self-pity and trying to make other people feel sorrt for them, my dad ate my dog and my mum died of cancer and my sister got raped and my girlfriend dumped me and worst of all my copy of FF7 broke. That kind of tedious shit.

I appreciate the side commentary all, but if you truly want to create a thread no one is stopping you, not even us mods/admins. If it's used, it is used. We are not going to close it otherwise. No one here is the general consensus of the forum, Stevie, just go ahead.

We'll see how it does. I agree though there are quite a few Mood type threads, but again.. It's not like it's a complete duplicate either. I just doubt you will see many posters, as you would the Mood thread.
