A few days ago my mum gave me a $15 gift card for Amazon. I decided to buy Silversun Pickups' latest album "Swoon"

We ordered it and I've been waiting. It's been too long so we tracked it's order sheet. It says it's been delivered and accepted by the buyer. But, I haven't gotten it yet. :mooken:

Therefor Amazon sucks. I don't think there's anyway to get my money or album back, either. :gasp:

I put this here, because it's more about Amazon than it is about music.

Ive never had any problems with amazon at all :hmmm:

Although i have had something delivered to me that i never actually bought, i was pretty gutted though when i opened it and it was a pc game about goblins and shit :hmph:
Really once its sent out its down to the delivery serivice.
Contact them and ul get details about where it was accepted and when etc :hmmm:

Yea, my mum is trying to. She said they said they couldn't help. :mokken:

Ah, good ol' Amazon. I ordered Warcraft II off them a long time ago. But I had mine sent to the Post Office, tracked it and it said it had been delivered but never saw it. So Finally I had to go talk to the people inside the post office. They had it in there but for some reason never put it in the box or let me know I had a package with one of those yellow cards.

So yeah, it's the delivery system.

So check with the delivery system. Okay, gotchya. Thanks for that.

That surprises me, I've never really had an issue with amazon...owait, I buy from ebay. :awesome:

I'm not thorough on Amazon's rules, but did they insure the package? Cause then there may be a way of getting them to send you another one. And if you can find out where it got sent to, and it's too far away, you can send them an email being all "Look, you sent it to this address. I live here. FIX ET!"

Hope it goes well. :3

In this case you really should shoot the messenger. :gasp:

I bought something off ebay and when I received it, it was totally ruined. At first I was going to get cranky with the seller, but it really wasn't his fault.

It wasn't insured either so I couldn't do much.

But yeah, hopefully you get it sorted out.

Big names like Amazon are always pretty good with getting their orders correct. It's just the posties and such that stuff up.

I had a bunch of ebay items delivered to my house one day and it was only after the guy left that I realised that he had given me someone elses parcel. The address was pretty much identical. Two numbers switched around and it would have been my address.

If I was a cheap bogan I would have kept it. But I walked up the road and delivered it to the right house.

If I hadn't of done that, the people who the parcel belonged to would have rung up the post office and found out that it had already been signed for etc as well.

So in your case it's more than likely they've just got the address wrong and the person who received it hasn't been honest and handed it over to the post office. =/

Considering everything is done with mail and a middle man is always forced into the picture, I imagine Amazon has some sort of feature that you can report to if you didn't receive a package. I've been using Amazon for probably 5 years now, and I've never had to utilize such options, but I imagine they have some sort of customer complaint desk that will allow you to explain your story and either get the product redelivered or get reimbursement.

Now, another question would be if you went with standard shipping or expedited. If it's standard shipping, it'll be delivered by the US Postal Service. Whenever I get packages this way, they literally leave the box at my door, and I pick it up when I get home from work, so there is always a risk that an unscrupulous neighbor could simply take my package, and I'd have no idea. If expedited, the package would be delivered by UPS or FedEx. They will only deliver the package if a signature is received in return. This works out great for you because you can nail someone else if they signed for your package, which would make Amazon responsible, and they'd have to redeliver or reimburse you.

There is but I can't remember how to access it myself right now. Anyway are you sure no one else picked it up instead? Sadly there are some people out there who will not hesitate to take someone else's package that is on their door.

I've used amazon since 2005 myself and I have to say the website has been really reliable as far as it's shipping and well-care of it's products. Sometimes I may even get it earlier for free. I've only had one incident with amazon and that was when I ordered FFXIII from there and my copy came completely opened and without a disc. That got cleared up easy enough too so they're reasonable too. I would suggest trying amazon again in the future.

Yeah, I can most certainly agree here it's the delivery system.

But I've ordered stuff off ebay before and it's been late as well.

Contact Amazon costomer support If your local post office dosent have the package....I think in a confermation e-mail they send a link if there are issues with your order...Even if the email dosent have the link there is a support system there for issues with your order...

Honestly to date I have never had a problem with Amazon and ive ordered from them for years without issues.

But I will say if you live in an appartment and your mailbox is to small MY postman usually puts it on top of the boxes ...wich means a possible theft by neighbor....
So I mostly have everything sent to my PO box....
Or I have to go to the post office to pick it up....

Nopers! Mine was insured! And it came today. Surprisingly.:awesome:

It turns out our Delivery system is just a sucky one at best. Thanks for all the helpful replies everyone!

I guess a lovely Admin can close this now? :gasp:
