So., I recently cleaned out my car(for once) and found a shitload of change.

Took the change to my local grocery store and dispensed it into the Coinstar machine.

To my utter bewilderment, the damn thing took for itself(i think) like .25 cents for every dollar of change I put in. So technically I would have had like $50 in change but after the damn thing calculated the charge of ".25" for every dollar I only had like $45 on the printout ticket.

The only reason that I used the machine was because my bank is closed on Saturday after 1:30PM and I did not wake up until 12(took me about an hour to completely clean out my car).

If I would've woken up earlier I could've gone to the bank and cashed in my change there(free of charge) but my fucking alarm did not go off at the time that I intended it to(major  on my part).

cuz it was a Saturday and my credit union is closed on Sundays.

Which is why i had to use the awesome/horrid CoinStar machine.

all those machines do it. its like 7pence a pound over here.
Its better than goin in with 100s and 100s of pennies to the bank and wantin it swapped. I refuse to do that.
How much money do you throw out in your car 8(

i never used one.. i just store penny.. might be helpful one day.. but i did use some to get an hot drink at nosh today as it was frezzing cold outside :hmph:

Roll them up and tell the store you want money back for it (y) or be a real ass and buy stuff with just change... I had a customer do that... I wanted them dead! $100 worth of groceries with change....
