Official English-Language Catherine Website Launched

ATLUS has launched the full official website for Catherine, the upcoming action-adventure/puzzle game from the makers of the award-winning Persona series. Set for release throughout North America on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this coming July, no European release has yet been confirmed. The exceedingly stylish, highly interactive website offers visitors a wealth of information and content about and from the game. Moreover, through its distinct design and extensive use of game media, the site captures the incredibly unique spirit of Catherine, a videogame dedicated to the bold exploration of the pleasures and horrors of love, commitment, and everything in between.

In a nod to the mobile phone Vincent uses throughout his story to interact with characters in the game, visitors can send and receive texts with Catherine. Should they reply with what she wants to hear, they may be treated to hidden artwork and wallpapers that would be otherwise inaccessible. The site also offers a bounty of screenshots, video, and detailed descriptions of the game's unique mix of gameplay types, serving as the best resource yet for fans curious to know more about the upcoming action-adventure/puzzle title.

Catherine is currently scheduled to release on July 26th, 2011 for PlayStation 3 system and Xbox 360 system, and you can find the official website at www.catherinethegame.com. I just picked this up today. It's a nice little horror/puzzle game. While I've only gotten up to day 4, I must say that this game's puzzles are killing me literally and I'm playing this game on Normal too. It also doesn't help that the puzzles are time-based as well so you have to hurry and finish them. Though that may also have to do with me being completely fail at puzzles. Not looking forward to Hard Mode at all. >.<

Outside of the puzzles the gameplay is interesting. In the game most of the time the game gives you a choice it'll affect your ending. There are also a total of 8 different endings to unlock too. The story is looking pretty interesting as well. I wonder how it'll end.

Overall I can say I'm enjoying it quite nicely. :)
 
My game should be coming within a week!! I love Atlus because each of their games are unique. I can't wait to play this game, even if I get so frustrated and damage my controller
 
I keep seeing this game in the stores almost every friday when i go shopping and i keep debating on it? I dont know if ill get it or not Im skeptical on game sI know nothing about unless I play a demo or anything. If everybody says its worth buying I may pick it up and see for myself.
 
Offically not illigeal in Australia anymore! Well, I saw a shop with it on its shelves! Still not going to buy it.
 
I recently defeated this game, and I gotta say, this game is a bitch to beat! I was getting sooo frustrated at most of the puzzles, and it took a while to get used to.

Is it really worth getting, I dont usually give in to the hype of a game being flamed alot, but sense I know nothing about it and keep thinking about it, I at least wanna get 1 persons view on it.
The last game I got and knew nothing about completly sucked and wasted my money and I swear i wont be doing that again -_- velevet assassin my foot :I
 
It's a good game, I'd recommend it. Do be warned that the game itself is a puzzle game so if you don't like puzzles, I'd pass. It is also well known for being quite difficult at times. From what I've heard it's not much easier on Easy either. The game itself will probably last you about 10-20 hours or so so don't expect a long game. Though whether or not you believe it's worth $60 is up to you. There's a demo on PSN and most likely XBL so I'd check that out before you decide if you want to buy it or not.

Ok thanks xD Im more intrigued on getting it then, although strategy is more my thing puzzles fall into my line of category too, however it is rather pricey so I might way till a price drop first, when its reasonable ill have to check this out on ps3 (I have enough 360 games i need more on my ps3 collection for games I dont know about) xD
 
I say check it out whenever you can. This game needs more love :sad3:

If you're a trophy/achievement whore, this game should keep you entertained for a while. There are a total of 9 Days(chapters) and each Day has a certain number of puzzles. if you can get a Gold Trophy on each Day you gain the ability to skip the puzzles automatically making it a much quicker way of getting each ending. Also there are 8 endings.

I'm currently trying to work on getting the Gold Trophies myself, it's not easy though because you have to be fast and make no mistakes. It's best to do it on your second playthrough.
 
lol most of the games people hate I like it, thats why if its really hated all the reason to see for myself xD and I recently found out nobody likes Wet either :(

Oh yeah I prefer achievements over trophies especially since i have a gamerscore to keep working on, and im replaying games to fill in the blanks, but if it has some pretty good achievements on it i might go 360 all depends xD I thought it was some kind of horror game or something when i saw it?
