C.C. Aerith Different From O.G. Aerith

Hey guys, I just started playing the original FFVII today and noticed that the shy sweet Aerith from Crisis Core has become mouthy and slick. It's like a total three sixty, what happened?

P.S. If it's revealed later in the game please let me know instead of spoiling it.

In CC aeris/aerith is 15 or 16, and she is mouthy what teenagers isn't:lew:
By the time FFVII begins Aeris is 22 and starts to learn about herself and becomes more reserved as a result.

It may sound conceded, but as she got older she may have found herself with a greater responsibility to her ancestor, and chose to act in a manner more befitting the sole survivor of Race.
 
Could be alittle from Zack's influence aswell, we all know he's the opposite of Cloud. who'd emotionally unstable throughout the game (FFVII).
 
I think Aerith changed into the woman she was in VII because of her relationship with Zack. It taught her to not rely on someone else, to stand up for herself and follow her own thoughts/dreams.

She doesn't change that much. She's still as sweet, happy, and innocent as ever. =3

She is very independent in FFVII, though Zacks Influence? maybe:hmmm:
I would think Aeris stayed pretty much the same her and Zack weren't together all that long and Aeris had 7 years to grow away from Zack so maybe not so much.

Id prefer to think of Aeris as being the same person up until the point when...........well you know what l mean :sad3:
 
Zack might of had a profound impact on her now that I think about it. She did show some similarities with her rebellious attitude.
 
She's not very mouthy in VII, but I see what you mean. Living and growing up in the slums also had something to do with it. Also being under constant surviellance from the Turks, probably takes it's toll eventually and I bet in her teens (because of Zack as well) she started to stand up for herself and tell them off.

But there's a huge age gap, 5-7 years here.. she's young and innocent, versus in her early 20's. Alot happens in those years especially in a woman.

She was younger in CC. Aren't all teenargers snarky pricks? :neomon:
 
I preferred Aerith's Crisis Core personality to her FFVII one, to be honest...she has a personality. For a street rat teenager, she's actually quite likeable. She was a typical maiden stereotype in FFVII. She grew up in slums, for hell's sake! She should have been a mouthy tart with a voice that sounded like she'd been smoking and drinking heavily for years and had six kids with unknown fathers in FFVII...nobody grows up clean in the slums!
 
personally I don't love the Aerith from the original game,I thought she was annoying sometimes.Also there was a scene before Cait Sith number 1 died,where Aerith asked how compatible she and Cloud where. Tifa was with them along with the two of them so I was like WTF? Even though I (at that time) supported both pairings I found that extremely annoying.
But yeah,I loved her in CC. :)
 
I think she is that way because she has problems dealing with her emotions (and empathy problems as well) which make her the best character by far if you know how to combine both of her personalities.

IMO, she was sweet as an innocent girl in CC, we all consider that nice for a teenager, but she is just obsessed with Zack, developing Limerance. That is a superb for a character, who usually falls on cliché "good lady"/"independent woman"/"dark warrior" stereotypes.

Her attitude in FFVII is directly linked to her disorder. She is still the same sweet person, but sometimes she acts trying to deny her feelings. Her infatuation in FFVII is clearly a form of denial of her past Limerance. That makes her too complex and too real at the same time.
 
This topic doesn't really make any sense, because O. G Aerith was created first in '97 so how could they 'turn' O.G into a whore or 'change' O.G Aerith into a desperate girl. Also how could it be Zack's influence into changing her, when SE probably had a different mind about the Zack and Aerith relationship back then, and had no details on their past relationship expect Aerith telling Cloud that Zack disappeared five years ago and he was a playboy and he probably found a different girlfriend, Aerith assuming.

Also why don't you like O.G Aerith. O.G Aerith is a strong, tough and confident women. She was able to defend for herself, fight off dangerous and perverted men in the slums and defend herself from monsters. Why do you hate that ? O.G Aerith is a attractive, strong and confident lady, that can stand on her two legs. Also there's nothing wrong with being a little flirty, she is a 22 year old lady in the original game, her not trying to attract Cloud would be a little strange, her being a adult. O.G Aerith is just a mature girl and she's not a teenager anymore, she's grown up. Also I felt like CC Aerith was kind of shallow and rude. Zack worked really hard to make her the flower cart that she kept on bugging him to make, and when he did make it, she didn't like it. She wasn't really grateful towards Zack giving her that gift at all. Also she was afraid of so many things, unlike O.G Aerith who's strong enough to face all of her fears and just be so strong mentally and physically.

I'm so sorry, but I love O.G Aerith and I'm kind of insulted if her being called 'easy' and 'desperate'.
 
I agree you can´t ever dismiss O.G. Aerith. She is the soul of the game (at least during the first CD). She is far more complex than all the other characters, she is much more human than the others. She has complexities of real people, paradoxes, everything.

Sorry, fairytale princesses and chosen-one heroes don´t appeal me much. I prefer O.G. Aerith to any other FF character.
