Which Console?

PS3, babay!

I mean, seriously! That's pretty much THE. REASON. I bought the PS3 2 years or whatever ago! lol. I thought the game was going to be coming out a LOT sooner than it is at that time. lol (Wasn't the first trailer for it in like 2006/7? lol)

And, yeah. Besides, if you buy a PS3, you'll be able to get Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which, by the way, looks SOOO cool!

And, yeah. Xbox 360 has like NO success in Japan, so downloadable content for the PS3's going to be Sqaure's first priority. Though it IS true that on games like Rock Band 2 or whatever, the Xbox 360 takes priority as far as downloadable content goes.

Oh yes. And I don't even own a 360, so of course I'm choosing the PS3. But even if I did, I KNOW the PS3 version would be better 'cause the 360 version's just a port from the PS3 one, so I'd choose the PS3 version. (Wordy! lol)

Done. :P

I hope a PS3, but I don't know how that will work out considering I don't have a PS3 yet. I have a 360, but I heard on the PS3 there are three places that you can only access to on the PS3 version and I do not want to miss out.

Very unlikely, in my opinion. Where did you hear that? :hmmm:

I'll be purchasing my copy for the PS3. Mostly because I only just bought my PS3, and investing in an Xbox 360 when I've just bought a PS3 would be unnecessary. So, I shall be sticking to the PS3 version.

The most recent Final Fantasys have been on the PlayStation, and while I'm not saying that they were always on Sony consoles, it would just feel more... comfortable for me to play on a PlayStation console.

Now, I'm not going to go and turn this into a big console war, but with the PS3 having Blu-ray, it seems to me like the cutscenes will be at least a little bit better than on the Xbox 360. I know that it's been said that they invested a long time on making the graphics equally incredible, but I'd have more confidence in Blu-ray.

FFXIII

The game started development on the PS3 first, the demo runs on PS3 software just fine, and if anything the 360 will be the same or worse, but I really doubt it will be significantly better, plus PS3 will only be one disc, so yeah, Ps3 version it is for me

I think it's best to get it on ps3, there are more votes for a ps3 probly because the people who buy ps3's likes final fantasy, plus that where it all began on the ps, but ive already preordered for 360.

My Opinion, It doesnt matter. Because I'm getting it for the xbox 360 since I only own 360 and a Ps2. Ps3 may be the best console for it from what everyone has been saying but, to me, as long as I can play it and enjoy it then It doesnt matter. As long as the Graphics are decent then I'm fine.

I'll be getting it for PS3 simply because that's the only console of the next gen ones that I own. I don't think there's going to be much if any difference between the console versions so it doesn't really bother me too much. I suppose the closet Sony fanboy in me would moan that XBox shouldn't be getting it but that's far too much effort really.

I will most likely get it on the PS3 as well. But I am still going to wait to see if there is anything exclusive coming out for one console. If not then the PS3, though I wouldn't mind owning it on the Xbox: 360 as long as I have a copy.

I somehow cannot imagine to play FF on X360. FF was alway PS game and because of that I will get FFXIII on PS3. I think that somehow it's the best to play on PS3.

the graphic the game play everything will be the same no different at all so it really does not matter. just get it for the one you like to use the best. seen the lates revive on this subject by the people who made the ffh game and they say the same thing it the same no different. at all

I may just end up buying it for the 360 since I don't own a PS3. But then I'm like, "That 360 box sure is going to make my Playstation collection of final fantasy games look a little off!" I like my stuff to match.

"the graphic the game play everything will be the same no different at all so it really does not matter"

Sadly, untrue. PS3 version will have lossless audio and 1080p cutscenes, neither of which are available on the xbox.

Possibly this was pointed out in previous pages - I read the first 5 or 6 and didn't see it. Apologies if this is redundant.

This is a 360 game for me simply because that's all I have. If I had both it would be a tough choice. Probably for the 360 still, since while this is a single player game, I can join a party of other FFXIII players and chat.

I made the decision to buy a PS3 a few weeks ago mainly so I could get this game. I've since been impressed majorly by the system but despite any reasons I could imagine for why the game would be better on either system my opinion is that Xbox is the Pepsi to Playstation's Coke and I will never touch it for that reason alone.

Which is, yes, ridiculous, but whatever.

I'll be one of those getting it for the 360, I dont currently own a ps3 so I'll just grab it for the 360, when the ps3's come down in price (not willing to shirk out nearly £300 for another console) I'll consider getting another copy for the ps3.

has to be ps3 for me, according to sources on the internet, the hour long demo included with FFVIIAC: Complete is about 5GB in size, and it does mention that it will take up the full 50GB capacity of the Blu Ray discs, seeing so xbox or dual layer the game will be severely compressed which will most likely reduce the graphics during the amvs!

here is the link from where i go the info from:

360, though itll be the first FF Ill rent, since the down hill of the series with X2, XI, XII, Dirge and now XIII. Ive read countless complaints about XIII in japan, being the worst FF ever released, being completely liner, buggy and pretty much a on going movie. Thats why its being sold in Japan for a mere $15 from its original $100

The graphics dont concern me since I only have a 360. I have no blue ray movies, and Im not about to rebuy movies that are publicly liked just to play on a blue ray. I have dvds and Ill play dvds till blue ray is the standard. I waited 2 years for PS3 to come out with more or exclusive titles I wanted and they failed me. The only game I want for PS3 that didnt come out for 360 is Metal gear 4. I bought 360 and Im happy with my decision, full game experience no gimmicks. Though yes, PS3s blue ray has payed off with the graphic advantage + disc space for todays higher quality demanding games, but its not that big of a difference in game wise, just a little less detailed.

I've heard some shady stuff about the 360 version of the game, but I'm gonna go with my Xbox copy since I do not own a PS3 anymore. Sure I hear the graphics may be a little sub par in this one, but as long as the stories un-changed, and it's a good one, I'll be satisfied.

Am curious to see which system sells more copies though after a while...

I've also heard about the linearity of FFXIII, but when you think about it, pretty much every FF is the same way (not counting tactics/CC/etc). I was worried when I read about them removing all the explorable towns, but someone made a good point - FF7/8/9/10/12 all had explorable world maps, but they're still completely linear. For the most part, you run from one town to the next as directed with little reason to return to previous towns outside of the main story. If FF13 did away with this illusion of exploration (which if required by the story, is still entirely linear), then that sounds like a good thing.

I've also read about some outrage at FFXIII for "ruining the franchise" and being "the worst FF yet", which, surprise surprise, is the same thing that's said every time a change is made to the game. At the same time, I've read several articles about game media outlets voting it the best FF game ever.

I see it like buying a book - nothing's more linear than a book (choose-your-ending notwithstanding), but it can still be incredibly captivating and fun.

PS3 FTW

It's simply going to look much better on PS3 because the PS3 runs faster and the PS3 has better quality graphics because it has Blu-ray and what doe's the Xbox 360 have HD DVD whichi think was discontinued because nobody bought them:gasp: so PS3 FTW

Can I change my vote? I was originally was going to get this game for the 360, but I happen to be getting a PS3 this week, so I'm just changing the preorder. Although I probably won't have a chance to play it on Tuesday because I'm so goddamn busy...

Xbox 360, without a doubt. And it's not just because I only have a 360, even if I had a PS3, I would get it on 360 anyway, because the idea of playing a Final Fantasy game on the 360 excites me for some reason. The three discs will bring back memories...
