as of the 31st of march the company that has a massive monopoly on public transport (specifically busses) in aberdeen will charge me a whopping 10 pence less to get to work and back. this saving now brings my daily spend on transport down to £4.70.

how fucking generous of them!

not that it'll make much difference since i have pledged to start cycling to work once all this snow fucks off.
 
It cost me 13.95 for a train ticket on monday, £13.95 for a hour return journey, the train company thinks i'm made of money
 
My hour's train journey to Cardiff (return) is only about £7...I never realised how cheap that was compared with other places :/
 
looool, buses hit a £5 a day for returns in my area, defo if your going into town

but what worse is disable access, now that SUCKS Terrible
 
£14 for a return train ticket is loose change. it costs £100 to get to london from carlisle.

cant believe it costs that much to get the bus these days, you'd be as well learning to drive jimmer!
 
that is one of the plans for this year. but not so that i can get to work. i will cycle and save even more money! :monocle:
 
so instead of paing 4.80 for my all day ticket i get a whole ten pence off. I was expecting it to go up to a fiver. 10 pence. Woop dee dooo laa deee daa etc

Taking advantage of people who are going to work by making the ticket more expensive before 9.30 am is a scam

i got held to the full 4.80 once when i got on a bus that was at 28 mintues past. The driver fucking held me to it. It was 31 by my watch and iphone but his fancy bus clock said 28 -_-
 
i keep getting told to stop using the car, but im too lazy :sad3:
 
Its a joke, these off peak on peak times, those going to work should be getting the cheaper fares, trains are even worse, i dont understand their reasoning behind their pricing either, if i go to glasgow at certain times its one price, go other times its 4 times as much
 
I highly doubt the drivers on off peak times are being paid overtime either. They will likely just start work at an early time.
