I've only heard good things about inFAMOUS, and I've yet to hear anything bad about it. However, I haven't seen gameplay, and the game cover doesn't look that intriguing.

As for BioShock, I know there's lots of popularity behind it- but I did hear one thing that I didn't like. It's that your ammo apparently runs out quickly. I really don't like that in a video game, so if anyone could clear that up for me it'd be great.

So, in your opinion, which is the better game? Whichever game I end up buying, it will be on the PS3.

Why don't you just buy both? If you can afford them.

They're both really great games.

- Bioshock, it's true that you run out of ammo quickly. But there are A TON OF things you can look or search to get your ammo back. Not only that, you also have melee weapons, so if you run out of ammo, you have a handy wrench or pipe. You can pick up ammo almost in every area.

- InFamous, well can't say anything about it really, I've played at a friend's house, but it was short. So I didn't really get to enjoy the full game's fun factor and other things.

In overall, I say get Bioshock if you like FPS adventures.

Get InFamous if you're looking for mindless fun and chaos.

inFamous is a really fun game that you can get at least 2 playthroughs out of. That's because there's a karma system so you play through the game as good and evil and see how the city and people change. Also, the powers for each side differ and if you're evil, you can get some extras but it's a spoiler as to why.
When I beat the game for the second time though, I never played it again. I didn't even touch it and TBH, I wasn't all that satisfied with the story.

I played BioShock on my friend's Xbox and it's very unique, much like inFamous. I think the story is much better though. The it pans out very nicely and draws you in more the inFamous does IMO. The thing about the ammo is true, but you still have enough resources to get by. The thing is, the lack of ammo adds to the thriller atmosphere so it adds to the game somewhat.

I would get BioShock just because it's just as fun and the story is much better.

Of course I can afford both. :wacky: I'd just rather focus on one game at a time. Plus, if I can find things about one game that makes me not want to get it- then I'll omit it from my "to buy" list. Which currently consists of only these two games.

So far, I think BioShock is leading. :hmmm: As long as there's melee weapons that don't make you run right into a battle you know you're not going to win- then that's fine.

I've played both. I prefer inFAMOUS to Bioshock only because sometimes its really fun to just run around and zap people. It's good for two plays though if you do the evil playthrough first then you won't really want to have to go back and play through it good having to follow all the rules D:

I haven't gotten that far into Bioshock to be honest. From what I've played its pretty close to being just another FPS in my books. It's fun for what it is though. If I were in your position I would buy inFAMOUS first, but that's just my general opinion.

BioShock. Of course, this is from a position that I haven't played inFAMOUS, but it just doesn't strike my fancy. I normally like open-world games, but the style it has seems so... Without character. It seems too sterile to me and I think Prototype or Crackdown might be more enjoyable if you really wanted to go that route, especially considering just having lightning-based powers seems EXTREMELY limited.

BioShock is a tried and true formula, to be sure, as it's basically System Shock 2 with a new coat of paint. And games like System Shock and BioShock are the new trend in FPS's nowadays, and I don't see that as a bad thing, being story based and VERY atmospheric.

Bioshock. I've never found inFAMOUS that appealing, hence I didn't buy it. Bioshock is one of my favourite games on the storyline alone, the twists in it are fantastic and you won't go far wrong. The actual game play is solid too. :busta:

BioShock. Absolutely. Its a wonderfully messed-up game with a really classy feel to it, thanks to the 60s setting. It feels incredibly old school. The story didn't really work for me, but Rapture has a pretty awesome history to it in the Audio Diaries you can find. They're extremely enjoyable...particularly Cohen's "Wild Bunny"...

The only slightly meh thing that can be said for it is the Incinerate! plasmid. Get that and you win the game. I never had any problems with ammo, because I just kept using Plasmids. They're much more fun, and much more effective. They break the game somewhat, unless you're playing the game on hard...and then they break it but slightly.

Sander Cohen is the most awesome minor antagonist ever, though. He alone makes it worth getting!

I'd say get the first one though, and not the second. The second is more of the same...the novelty of Big Sister and the drill wears off quickly...being the Big Daddy isn't as awesome as it should be. Its got a brilliant premise and is a good continuation, but it lacks the magic that the first so brilliant.

hmm I was under the impression that Infamous failed?
well in my country it did though, here they actually dubbed the game dutch, and that was uber weak.. story doesnt appeal at all and zapping people WOW im not paying money for that, no matter how fun it is zapping.

go for BioSHock ! the game is uber creepy and first time you need to keep those freaks abay with a wrench :D the drinks for powerups are annoying to use sometimes iMO.
and just kill those sisters.
