omg Big Brother is back it's being launched sometime in the next week
omg i can wait for it i love watching it because i get a giggle out of it
 
Can't wait it starts next thursday!!! :)

Hopefully this year we will have some younger housemates and less boring one's

 
Ugh, has this show not ended yet? I know in Australia they've stop making it. It's a pointless show which isn't even reality, and they shove in the most 'interesting and unique' people so we don't fall asleep in our chairs.
 
I was getting sick of that Gretal chick always hosting the Aussie one. <_<

I never got excited over this show. It's so boring. Anything reality is boring in my opinion.

I'd rather be out doing my own thing and living my own reality, instead of watching a bunch of people go mental at each other because they have to live in the same house for 3 months. <_<
 
well the show is actually showing you how people cant live with the outside world and reading newspaper, over several of the years it has shown that and they feel like they need to get out of there and also they are put in difficult situations where it can lead to a major disagrement E.G jade goody (rest her soul) and shilpa shetty it actually went from a little thing like the eviction to a racial comment which actually makes the entertainment more intesified (if you get me)
 
Well the Australian Big Brother sucked (seriously). But after reading a few articles on Wikipedia, the UK version of Big Brother seems pretty interesting, mainly because there seem to be a lot of psychos who get put into the house. But I won't be able to watch it on TV over here and I can't be stuffed looking for it on the net, so I can't say I really care about the new season to be quite honest.
 
I'll watch it to see what characters go in, but whether I get into it or not I don't know, I watched last years...it's like, impossible not too sometimes, I sit there say its crap yet I still watch it xD

Didn't watch it the previous couple of years before that though, so I guess I'll just have to see if I get sucked in :gasp:

I hate Big brother, i always have and i always will, it totally sucks and i HATE IT.

it's always the same story with these things complete strangers get thrown into a house, some get along, some argue, there are fights, love triangles, sex, booze, drunken fights, people crying and my personal favorite, fully grown people slagging eachother off to a god damn camera.
 
Big Brother is a load of bollocks in my opinon. The only decent thing about it is that Davina lass (God I would do many thing to that woman ><).
 
If they were to pull the plug on that show It wouldnt be missed and I for one would be cheering...

I absolutley hate the show and would give my right arm to see it taken off the air i hate it that much!

Well ok. It's a bunch of attention seeking people living together for the best part of the summer, cut off from the outside world. Why would I want to watch people lousing about all fucking day? When it first started it was ok because the whole thing was new, but as it went on more and more gawd awful people get on it and now its just highly annoying. I don't care if he hates she and she hates foreign lady and said lady is a crying little bitch....in short, it's not for me.
 
Big Brother was originally started as a social experiment, and for the first series they actually had people with some kind of Talent of there own and whom all seemed like decent members of the public.

However as the years have gone on, the experiental aspect has melted away and the Talented people we once saw in the first one (muscians, artists, etc) have become a distant memory as it has become a freak show for the wierd...and wierder, the less talented, the more unbelievably stupid, the better it seems.

For the past 5 series BB has been flogging a dead horse, an experiment people only watch as it suffers from the "car crash" effect.

You dont want to watch it, but its so damn awful many people feel compelled to watch it and cant look away.

The sooner its taken off the air the bloody damn well better!

yeah but the thing is that when you say the more it has gone on the less talented the people are but the thing is that they actaully have two bb and its the celebrity bb and the community (non celebs) are two kinds of shows each one take it in turn every
year !!!!!
 
and both are equially as rubish,

In the celebrity BB, its basically an oversized popularity contest, the more popular celebs tend to win.

and in the normal BB, the person who is better for TV ratings wins, like the last one that was on, the cry baby blond got sent back in cos when she was in people tuned in just to watch her cry. they added the turrets dude in to make people laff, and they throw in psychopathically bitchy people to start fights.

BB never uses a housemate full of regular joe's, because it would make for boring television.
 
I know people have already pointed this out all over the globe. But I want to be in that same clique, dammit. And so I shall.

Has anyone noticed that the title of a tv series perfectly matches a concept that, while not channeled from the US evening news, is common to the main woe of the UK? And yet the plot therein provides the US with the "entertaining" idea of being followed all over the house? Big Brother in the US is damn near mythological as if it could never get here....ever....mommy says never! But yet I am an average consumer being good and buttered up like a middle biscuit to think the ability to watch peoples personal lives is something I should get hip to, and that right soon. So since UK is not exactly a-ok with this guy

poppin out all over the fuggin...I don't see the point in reality TV, especially if its aiming at me. I feel great empathy for the UK. Strong people...Big Brother watchers, enjoy the show!

I watch Big Brother all the time, just not the one on TV.

It's a shoe for voyeurs. If you were to really watch an entire household like that you'd be arrested for stalking. It's a faux reality TV programme, none of it is real. At the end of the day all you're watching is a bunch of fuckwits in a house doing fuck all. It's not entertaining, exciting, scary, amusing, tragic, or erotic ergo there is no reason to watch. Except for the thrill of privately observing someone's life, which as I said before is voyeuristic.

Am pretty Mixed on the whole series so far
no live feed only for several hours at night the housemates seem a good bunch though and no one is a clear winner as yet

I watched the guys go in, thought they were the biggest bunch of odd balls Ive EVER seen and havent watched it since, it just wasn't doing it for me at all, i think it's definately had it's day now, don't think Il bother tuning in for the duration

That and there's CLEARLY no eye candy for the girls -_-
