Have any of you been stung by a bee, wasp, or anything else?

I was stung by a bee once back in elementary school. It crawled up my pants leg while I was in playing in band, and stung me on my leg. I cried my eyes out back then.

A couple of days ago, I was stung by a wasp on my forearm. Wasps decided to make a nest in our fence, and I guess they didn't appreciate me going back and forth through the gate. A couple of the came after me, but only one got to sting me. I was more pissed off at them than anything since it stung like hell. I still have a lump on my arm where it stung me. <_<

Six times, I think. Twice by the same wasp. I was about 5 or 6, had just gotten out of the shower and was putting my shirt on. It had long sleeves, and as I slid my arm into one sleeve I felt a pinch on my wrist. Being 5 and stupid, I somehow decided it would be prudent to slide my *other* arm in. Felt another pinch, decided to figure out what the hell was wrong with that sleeve, and discovered a yellow jacket sitting right in my shirt.

:ffs:

The others were mostly just bad luck/uninteresting.

I'm not sure if I have been stung but when I was about 8 I was playing football with my friend in the park and I ended up sliding my knees along the lawn. After that I had a sharp pain around my shin. Everyone assumed it was a bee sting and I had a small lump on the area afterwards. But I don't know for sure if it was a bee sting.

It's miraculous I haven't been stung since then. There is a wasp nest outside my window. Plus there have been incidents where I have climbed up a tree only to discover a bee hive at the top.

I got stung on my foot once. I was about five or six and I was out with family at the park. I have never been one who enjoys shoes so I was walking barefoot in the grass. I stepped on a bee. It hurt like hell and I hope I crushed the bastard. -__-

I did get a nice Mickey Mouse ice cream bar out of it though. xD

Once at my mum and dads house when I was a kid (around age ten) I was stupidly shaking the fence down the back when all of a sudden a stinging sensation went through my wrist, then my pinky and then my nose!

I screamed!

My finger and wrist swelled up and I was so upset because I thought my nose would do the same thing.

Surprisingly it didn't and I was so grateful.

I couldn't bend my pinky the full way it was so fat.

Later we soon found out a wasp's nest was right next to where I was at the fence. <_<

I got stung by a wasp when I was about 6 or 7. I was at the pool and sitting at the top of the slide and it got my leg. It was MASSIVE, I remember thinking it looked like a mini black dragon. It was the the most painful thing I had ever felt at that point in my life!

If you get stung by a wasp you should pour vinegar on it. A wasp sting is alkali and so a weak acid like vinegar neutralises it and makes the pain go away :D Bee stings are acidic though so you would need to use a weak alkali instead :D

Ive been stung twice, once on the thigh when i was ridingmy bike, I guess Irode into its flight pass and it wasnt amused, and the other time on the end of the finger, not sure how that one happened

Doesnt have bloody hurt though, my friend had some spray thing that was dead cold, and it felt so good on my sting D:

Not sure if it was bees or wasps each time either

Ive been stung by a bee 3 times I think. It fucking hurts like Hell when you get stung. Those Damn fuckers can go to hell! I stay away from them now because they make me fucking MAD!

Nope I've never been stung by a bee before. Not sure if that's normal or what.

Actually I read this thread right before I went to Griffith Park today and there were a mess of bees on the grass! It kinda freaked me out and I kept thinking I was gonna get stung soon, but nah, I made it out of there untouched by bees. One did touch my ice cream though and probably almost stung my hand.

Hmm, let me think. I know the first time I was stung, it was twice by the same wasp. I was in elementary school, like 3rd or 4th grade maybe and I remember I was running toward the playground and got stung twice in a row like an inch apart from each other on my leg. Even as young as I was at this time, it didn't seem to bother me much. I remember it hurting when I touched it, but it got really itchy in a few days, that was the annoying part.

For the life of me, I know I was stung twice in a row by a wasp again sometime after that, but I don't remember how old I was, how or where is happened, so I'll leave that be.

I was then stung by a yellow jacket once when I was in 7th grade or something. It was in my backyard, and it really wasn't that eventful.

All the stings though weren't that big of a deal to me. Just more battle scars in my life.

Yeah, actually I got stung really recently by a paper wasp(if that's what they're called) and it hurts so bad I nearly cried I was like ":holyshit:"

When I think about it I haven't been stung :)
And hope I don't ever myself get into bee/wasp territory, When I see them I don't stick around

I stepped on a bee when I was about 8 or 9 years old. It stung me. My foot blew up like a balloon. Apparently, I'm allergic. I couldn't walk correctly for like a week. :gonk:

Yeah, I got stung by a bee once (hurt like hell). Ever since then, I now have a habit of going outside wearing these big puffy sleeves along with some jogging pants.

Nope I've never been stung by a bee before. Not sure if that's normal or what.
It probably is, you've probably avoided upsetting any bees :wacky:

I've only been stung twice, once by a bee and once by a wasp, both when i was little. Chances are with the bee I deserved it since they only sting you when provoked, and they die after anyway. As for the wasp I didn't do anything wrong -__-

I've been stung several times. One time, I was smart enough to shoot rubber bands at gigantic wasp nest on the side of the house. I didn't realize there'd be so many wasps crammed in that thing. They came pouring out...

Ever get stung by a hornet? I promise--it's FAR worse than getting stung by a honey bee or a wasp. When those things get pissed at you, they don't stop after one sting. They latch onto you, and plunge their stinger into you over and over until you brush them away. They're also more determined to catch you. They'll chase you for quite some time. So I got a rude awakening when I doused a hornet nest with my super soaker water gun.

I thought for sure that I'd replied to something like this before... Ah well... A couple years back, I mowed my grandfather's lawn on a regular basis. One time in particular, I apparently disturbed a nest of wasps with the lawn mower and was suitably stung by a swarm of about 50 wasps. Not fun, but at least I wasn't allergic.

Been stung by bees a few times and had the bloody thing still lodged in my hand and arm etc. My dad had to pull them out with tweezers. :wacky: They bloody hurt.

Been stung by wasps a few times too, out of nowhere. Not even aware there was a wasp around, then BOOM! pain and a buzzing noise. Annoying little shits.

The worst was on my foot though, when I like 8 or 9, there was a nest outside someone's house on the grass patch. Bastards were nesting underground. So me and my mate though it'd be a good idea to try and patch the nest up. Got a load of bricks and starting throwing them at the hole to get the ones on the outside out the way, then poored water down there and put a load of bricks ontop. Then one of them got me right on the top of my foot, and it fucking hurt like hell.

I've had a proper scare before though. One day my mum killed a wasp that was in our house, the next day when I woke up, I opened the curtains and there was fucking hundreds of wasps outside swarming. They stayed there for hours too, had to keep all the windows shut, had to keep my cat in the house. It was freaky as hell.
