My bf just bought this for the PS3 and I just wanna know peoples opionions on it, he was ready to write it off yesterday although he seems to be getting into it now

Sooo, what do you think and how long is it?

Pretty sure Ive seen a thread on this somewhere but I can't for the life of me find it and I've scoured the PS section >_<

i don't personally own it but I have played a lot of it.

the game seems to be VERY repetitive, gather info, find target, kill, run, repeat. though stuff like killing Templars can be fun, just sucks that the fighting system is so easy... It's like Medieval GTA. XDD

They even have horses for getaway. :P

It's a decent game. I didn't really get into it, as the gameplay becomes sorta repetitive and boring as the hours roll by. There isn't much to the battle mechanics. You could fall asleep while battling.

Still, you can pull off some pretty badass manuevers that make the game fun. I guess that's the most important thing. The game's fun. Not great, but fun.

I loved it! But I do have to agree with VoN and FFG, it was fairly repetitive especially came to combat and what you had to do to find your assassination target. However, I think people were mainly disappointed because it had so much hype that it was under huge pressure to deliver.

All being said, I think Ubisoft will definitely make improvements for AC2 and that should also be mint. :D

It is a rather decent game. But the game play gets soooo repetitive after a while. I never actually beat it because I didn't see the reason to. I got to a point where I would just throw drunks and beggers off a cliff and that's about it.

It had a great concept, but not enough to hold me over for the games length.

I consider Assasins Creed a demo of what can be done in this type of game, ie a demo of the fight system, climbing etc. Gameplay was extremely repetetive but i guess its kinda like a test phase for assasins creed 2? Presuming the sequel is coming out

Well i thought it was a good game i enjoyed running around of walls and killing leppa's with throwing daggers, but as for the repetitiveness i don't think it was to repetitive but once you could go anywhere then that gave me a sense of freedom.

Overall i wouldn't rate it as a poor game nor an amazing game....it was pretty good.

I found this game to be terrible. I returned it the day after purchase and waited for a good game to be released.

It was quite repetitive, but I still enjoyed it. It wasn't really amazing in anyway, though it was kinda fun running around the streets, climbing buildings ect...

I managed to finish it in about two days I think, so it's not very long. All in all I wasn't overly impressed with anything but it was still kinda fun. I'm sure AC2 will be much better.

This game has weant up in my game rating for as i spent most of last night running around filling in the gaps (saving the citizens and stuff like that) the only thing bad about it now i trying to collect all the damn flags theres just to many and it's a farce.

There's something really pleasing about sprinting towards a guard and smashing the back of his head into the floor as you drive your blade into his neck. Is that just me or does anyone else like doing that?

It's a good game. I really liked how you could climb around like a rabid monkey, jumping on guards with a knife, instantly killing them. Sadly though as mentioned, it's pretty repetitive.

i think this game is really good, ok its a tad repepetitve with going ang getting info then taking out the target, but its relli good gameplay always intresting and there is always a new thing happerning around the nxt corner or ontop of the next roof, its all good, i have also tried for fun to see if i can kill all public speckers without causeing a fuss, well fun. dont like that you get ur equipment taken off you at the start, gets annoying untill u get a few missions done

Awesome game except for the problem that there is no option to skip cutscenes after you already beat the game because there so damn long.:gasp:

I just got this game with my new PS3 :3.

So far I think it's pretty awesome climbing around and stuff, but the cut scenes so boring and there's so many of them. :gasp:
I like the fighting and shit coz' once you kill the enemy, if there's one behind you, you like swing your blade back to own them :D.

Got this game yesterday. I love the graphics, but I'm getting nervous about this 'repetitiveness' you all are talking about. xD Since there's no, like huge Assassin-Mart you could get upgrades from or anything other than linear progression, I'm starting to doubt my devotion to trying to finish it.

That being said, I like the premise of the plot. It gives off the great science-unsolved mystery vibe and I guess that part gets me hooked. I'd love to see something different in the sequel though. I've read on Wiki that it might be set in Japan, hopefully with a different character, blah blah blah, think that would be a good launching stone.

I got this a couple of Christmas's ago and i must say the game is quite fun at the start, but when you get into the story more you seem to be doing the same thing over and over and over again. I love how you can sneak up behind people like an assassin and kill them and i like the combat, i just wish there was more of a variety of attacks instead of the same 4 or so that they have. Another cool feature is the warning system, when you a guard sees you doing something you can hide in a wagon of straw or something, which is cool. Though this game is really repetitive, its also quite fun.

Great game! A lot of people give this game shit since it is really repetitive though. I have to agree, it is if you just free-roam and go for Achievements and such, but when it comes to facing the bosses, it's killer.

I gotta say that the little cut-scenes right before the bosses were pretty sweet. I loved watching how Corrupt they were and then when you get the chance, you sneak in and assassinate them. Didn't expect the ending with the final boss tough, but overall it was an awesome game.

I eventually sold it for $20 after having it for a year. It wasn't a game I was gonna play through again, so I got what money i could of out of it.
