I applaud 1 for trying an animation, but I think number 2 is the best here. I like the glossy look to it and the hazy effect is a nice touch. Like the colors as well.

While number one is more humorous, number 2 is the better made avatar. So I vote for 2.

Number 2 because it looks a lot more serious for the theme and the background works really well. Also I prefer avatars to be 100x100. Anything else and it doesn't seem like a proper avatar to me.

I vote number 2 only because of the nice colors with the soft gloss to it. Animated avatars that flash like number 1 annoy me. >.<

Number 1 is so amazing! It's hilarious, the colours are fine. There's nothing wrong with the avatar. Very original!

It seems to me that a lot of effort and time went into the second avatar, so my vote goes to it. The first is somewhat funny, but it isn't the best out of the two.

1 supplied a nice change with a large image and an animation but two looks more proper and appealing. The black section at the bottom and the smaller one at the top ruin the image overall but its still fairly good.

If #1 had been just the McCain part I totally would have had to go for that one since when the page loaded it got me to chuckle...but then it (too) quickly changed to the Jedi Obama and it just lost everything it had going for it...

#2 isn't super great...I think the placement of the words could have been better...but it's nice & overall looks good as an avy.

Although #1 is funny and shows good animation skills, my vote will go to #2. I love the typography, cut/angle, effects, and the coloring.

I voted for #2 because I like the fact that it doesn't change and its colors makes it stand out. I liked #1 too because its humerus on how obama has a sword and they put an x on McCain.
