Agnis philosophy thoughts

Its definately something graphically but who the hell cares about graphics in final fantasy if the characters/story sucks. Besides that kind of graphics are not supported in the PS3 so we wont be seeing any of that soon. I think they should be exploring newground on what they fail and not where they already excel(this based on the fans reception on FFXIII/XIII-2 since I havent played them myself).

I did not care for the style it had. I hope it is not ffxv. Art resembled to much of a real setting and lthough versus looks in a real world setting i hope it doesnt become a trend in ff. Reminded me of uncharted

Not like it one bit, it sure looks gorgeous but so did FFXIII and even tough is one of the more beautiful games i have ever seen it didnt conpensate the lack of everything else, and so if SE still think we buy games just for graphics then they will never return to their former glory.

Umm, so citadels, medieval-style villages, rocky mountains, crystals, dragons, summoners, etc. suddenly are too realistic for Final Fantasy?

If I recall, that's exactly what we saw back in the older days of FF...to me this tech demo looked more like classic Final Fantasy re-envisioned with next-gen visuals. The elements of modern technology just seemed reminiscent of FFVI; they didn't detract from the overall feel of a world existing in a time gone by.

Agree with that or disagree, I think we can all agree that Agni's Philosophy is a step away from sci-fi and a step closer to fantasy when compared to XIII and XIII-2. Yes it's story and not graphics that matters most, but that's why this was a tech demo. Before you can tell a story, you have to establish the medium by which that story will be told. In video games, that happens to be a primarily graphical platform. That in mind, I'm very excited to see where SE will take this.

turns out its not going to be 15, hopefully they will anounce the real 15 now

You could have placed that within the same comment and just edited it, rather than double posting.

Pack to the topic. The demo I thought was very interesting, it looked great and it showed I think the direction they are possibly going. Could be a more realistic tone on Final Fantasy rather than 'Everyone can do amazing jumps etc' things that brack the realistic barrier. But hey I like both, so we'll see if anything is said at TGS or S-E's FF show in September.

It looks like uncharted. But overall it looks like a style outside of ff. Sure in words it sounds like ff but when you see it? Se is focusing too much in real time. I find it unnecesary. And ff13 wouldve been a great game if they focused on what the world was.
