Making the intro:

What's up, I'm Tom. I used to be big into forums but it kind of died off. I wanted to reengage my interest with them because it is always an experience to share views with different people and discuss similar interests.

I want to be a writer so I'm hoping that typing and discussing various topics will be good practice. Best advice I've gotten is to just write something every day. Though this is a forum and not a short story piece or anything like that, I want to mainly do script writing for Comic Books or Media Entertainment. So I figure if I need to practice dialogue and write every day, I may as well talk to some people here and it's better than doing nothing.

Hope to have some good times with everyone I can and I look forward to it.

How cool! I want to be a comic artist. :P
Welcome to the forums, friend.

I hope you have a blastie blast while here. :D

Welcome to FFF :monster: enjoy your stay

Welcome, hope you enjoy it here :) And this is a great place to practice your writing skills, I'm a writer too and I've found that writing up posts in the serious threads here can really be a great exercise for that. Stick around and post lots, and we also have a great RP section if that's something you'd be interested in as well :D

I don't know why people always say to aspiring writers 'write something every day.' Surely better advice for aspiring writers would always be 'experience something every day ... then write about it!' Writing is not that hard. Getting the right words in the right order is something that a million people can do. What a million people cannot do is imagine. Writing is 1% talent, 98% imagination. The other 1% is hallucinogenic drugs.

I agree. And you just gave me a good idea for a character. And I'd say more like 9% hallucinogenics. Have to know you're priorities.
