Achievements or Trophies?

I had about 8000 GS for my Xbox, but that all went not waste when I got RROD.

Now on my PS3, I'm a level 7, 360 something trophies, 1 Plat trophy and working on 3 more.

Well i guess i'm being a little biased here since I only have a PS3 but, they are basically the same thing, no?

Plus like Pockets said, the like sound it makes whenever you get a trophy :ryan:

I also like how you can advance in levels as well.

:]

I have only a ps3, but I looked at the achievements and have to say that doesn't appeal to me at all. I prefer to have different trophies then just some score.

My trophy level is 80% on level 6 and I have 245 in total

I'll admit that I'm biased in this seeing as how I only own a PS3, but even before I purchased a PS3 I liked the idea of trophies more than achievements.

With a trophy collection, the trophies you earn seem more worthwhile. For example, if you beat an entire level in a game and it's worth a bronze trophy, it might be only about 10 gamerscore. I'd feel more proud of my trophy than I would getting 10G.

Using that same example, sometimes I've seen achievements that are only worth about 5G. On the PS3, they would be a bronze trophy. I think anyone would prefer a whole bronze trophy over... 5 points. :wacky:

And I'm not really sure how the 360 profiles are set up, but when you view someone's profile on PS3 you can see exactly how many trophies and of which grade they are. With gamerscore it seems like it's just a score on your profile, but ultimately I've never owned a 360 so I wouldn't know.

Also, when you earn every single achievement, there's nothing to notify you of it. You've just earned 1000/1000G. How exciting. With PS3 trophies, you get a fancy little platinum when you earn all of the trophies in a certain game.

I also like leveling up. Just an extra perk of trophies that I like.

Edit: Trophy level is currently 90% through level 9.

I have around 2000 GS on my Xbox. Most of the games belong to my brother, so I'm playing Call of Duty games, which aren't usually my thing and trying to complete each level on the hardest difficulty, Veteran (woo) which is stressful :lew: I do have some of the higher Achievements for Final Fantasy XIII, and most of the Assasin's Creed 2 ones as well, as well as a couple of Halo ODST Achievements from before I got bored of it. There's more, but not that I can remember.
