I'm replaying the game again... and I was wondering...

Is Anima the final Aeon? Also if it is then how are we able to get it? Is the final Aeon the same for everyone or differs from person to person???

Anima is not the final aeon. Sin was the final aeon and before tht perhaps Jecht as aeon (boss battle). Anima is just Seymours mother as fayth. Not sure though I forgot a lot.

I just checked out GameFAQs. xD
If you want the Anima aeon, you have to go through each Cloister of Trials temple && obtain all of the destruction sphere treasures. So make sure you use those spheres!
When you enter the Baaj Temple area, there's a boss there. Afterwards, swim underwater to enter the temple, examine the six statues there, then enter the Chamber of Fayth doors up north. There should be a scene && then you will gain the ability to summon Anima.
Hope this helps! :3

You've beaten the game right?

Everyone's Final Aeon is different because the fayth for the Final Summoning is different for everyone. Every Final Aeon becomes Sin after it defeats the previous Sin and thus a new Final Aeon needs to be created.

Anima was Seymour's Final Aeon. The thing is though that the Final Aeon gains its incredible power from the bond between the fayth and the summoner. Yuna had no special bond with Seymour's Mother so Anima does not have the same power as it did Seymour.

But still.. kinda a plot hole to me... I mean if it was even Seymores final Aeon, we shouldn't be able to obtain it then. unless I am just too confused...

No it was seymour final aeon but the fayth of Anima(seymour's mother) wanted to stop his son's plans to stop Spira's spiral of death. She grants you her help to lay her son to rest. Thats why you can get it. The fayth can give the aeon to whoever it wants. Evidence for that is that various summoners have the same summons such as Valefor.
The only difference is that Seymour didnt use anima to kill sin.

Yes and no. Let me break it down for you.

Seymour's mother offered him her strength and protection and travelled to Zanarkand by his side as his guardian before she became a fayth - which gave him the power to defeat Sin, as she was the Final Aeon. In the game, it's clear that how a summoner is able to obtain the Final Aeon was not public knowledge. Seymour didn't know he'd have to give up his mother to get it, so he became too devastated by his mother's sacrifice to continue on and ended his quest as a summoner. So because a summoner must sacrifice a guardian whom they share a special bond with, the Final Aeon is different for everyone, since each guardian is different from previous ones, as each bond is unique.

Her fayth was then transported back to Baaj Temple, where both her and Seymour were sent to by her husband, Lord Jyscal Guado, for both their protection and to prevent civil war among the Guado - who are well-known for their high intolerance of other races.

More than a decade later, she still resides in Baaj, condemned to spend the rest of her life there, and now, as a fayth, the rest of eternity.
The pain of her failing to better prepare her son continues to haunt her, but she still hopes to make things right somehow by joining our party, giving us the power to summon Anima.
