hi?!

I suck at these and somehow always manage to mess it up so I'll cut to the chase:

I've always been "aware" of finalfantasy but ever since my first experience with an earlier installment of the franchise (Mystic Quest) I had been turned off, manly due to the fact that I was 11 with a short attention span and A Link to the Past had similar graphics but captured my imagination with the Real Time gameplay. So naturally I gravitated to that side of the fence.

It wasn't until Sony's very own The Legend of Dragoon for the PS1 that I had any interest with videogame rpgs (I did love D&D and in turn was well versed in Magic the Gathering at the time however, primarily due to the abudance of beautiful setting and character concept art provided in both D&D manuals and MtG cards). Like FF7 The Legend of Dragoon was a revolutionary 3D rpg that set the bar higher for the genre, but even more so the graphics were more detailed so the characters had a much closer resemblence in and out of fights than the FF7 characters did. Anywho, long story short time went by and by and by until finally I came to grips with the fact that a sequel for LoD wouldn't come. To this day it has yet to be announced) I picked up FFX from a bargain bin ($15.00-$18.00) and was changed forever. In recent years I've grown attached to the Kingdom Hearts series, with KH II being my first introduction and KH BBS being my favorite so far (I've yet to play 358/2 days since I do not own a DS).

Recently my love for the franchise skyrocketed after the completion of FFXIII and decided to look at fanfiction.net to read some fanfics while riding the bus to work but to my avail alot of them left alot to be desired. So unsatisifed I treaded google looking for forum sites that were dedicated to the series or even a successful rp forum based on the franchise and found this wonderful little peice of heaven.

Anywho, enough with the paragraphs. Let's break the pattern with lists:

Likes:
- Humor (ironic...because I'm not humorous)
- That DeadFantasy series on youtube. That definetly reinvigorated my love with FF.
- Highschool Martial Arts/Brawler Mangas (like B Reaction, Tenjho Tenge, AIKI, Air Gear, History's Mightiest Desciple Kenichi)
- Anime equivilant of the above genre: (eg: Yu Yu Hakusho, Busou Renkin)
- Old School Arcade Cabinets
- Beat Em Up Games
- Mainstream and Independent American Comics
- Offbeat Podcasts

Dislikes:
- People who cut you off on the road from behind you even though you're driving 5 miles ABOVE the speed limit.
- Being Indecisive when ordering a fastfood meal
- Places with that mild bad odor that you have to stay a while in like the Dentist
- The Dentist

I guess that's a little more about me than I thought I'd admit. At least I didn't say anything embarrassing like having any crushes on FF heroines... because I totally don't- I'll just shuttup now. (KNEW I would screw that up.)

...who are you and why should we be friends? ;)

I hate the dentist too, I was away to have a wisdom tooth out yesterday, so I have face ache, am drinking a brew through a straw and am high as a kite

Have you seen any of the Grappler Baki series as manga or anime? If you're a fan of the bare-fisted-fighting genre you'll absolutely love it.

Wow, I must have been more tired than I thought. There are so many sentence fragments in my first post it makes me a little ashamed to say I'm a writer.

Contact: Anyways, thought I'd mention it right here: though I'm not on a pc alot, I'm ad most definitely on twitter so if you would like, it's alright to follow my sick and twisted escapades on twitter. (I'm @The_Mangaman, not @Mangaman, that guy's Italian if I am not mistaken). Ever since I got the tweetdeck and twitter apps I've been a twitterholic so... yeah, fuel my inspiration with talks of finalfantasy whenever you're away from the pc, it's always a delight. @Bambi: I know how that is. They took ALL FOUR a few years back, and TWO of them hadn't even come out. Needless to say solid foods was no option. You know how embarrassing it is to shop and have everything in your cart be non-solid stuff and claim to have an infant when you're at the register when the cashier obviously notices? XD never lied so quickly or fervently in my life.

@Kusanagi: See? I already know you and I are going to get along just fine.

@VinnieJones: I'm hoping this is one of those communities that'll last years, like the popular ezboard forums in the early aughts. It's where I spent time a-many during lunches in highschool. Oh and Grappler Baki? I TOTALLY have it on my netflix cue and will be reading the first volume online once I clear away some of the other manga on my list. I'm still catching up on Kenichi as I'm about 40ish chapters behind since the American volumes are always late. After the next major arc they'll complete in English I'll probably just read the rest online to make room for Grappler Baki. There's a few prequels too from what I understand so I gotta get rolling on it.

Anywho, hope you don't mind but I added major reps to all of you for being such humble hosts.

Thought it's the least I could do for my little welcome wagon. Lately I have been in a "the more the merrier" kind of mood which is a 180 turn around in attitude on forums. Those major headaches I suffered after my jaw surgery really put life into perspective and realized life is too short for seclusion so thought it'd be a little healthy to immerse myself in a strong community like this where I could just shoot the $#@%, savvy?

Well thanks again folks, I'll definitely be around and about regardless of whatever life swings my way. That's what weekends are for am I right? Anywho, I'm rambling again so I might as well skim the forums to release some chattiness that I got all built up here.

Did it leave loads of bruising, I remember the mothership having her bottom ones out, I think they were 'impacted' and it looked like she had had an argument with a lorry time she got home, all swollen and bruised, it was mad

Aw 4 at once though, that's harsh, I'm struggling with just the one out. Why did they do all 4 at once? I've been eating, and ramming bits of food on the right hand side to chew so it doesnt touch the area, and it still hurts D:

Though, I had an operation on my tongue, last year sometime it was good grief, I couldn't eat solid food for about 3 weeks, I was ready for hanging myself

Oh yeah it did. Hurt even when numb with chipmunk cheeks. Worst part is you can't really do anything to keep it clean aside from mouthwash and very very VERY light brushing. And I was ready to vomit every time I found food INSIDE any of the four... holes. (great an innuendo... *sigh*, well it's too late to change that phrase now)

They took four out because my jaw grew too far out and so I had a huge crossbite. As a result they needed to break my jaw back so it would bite correctly but they couldn't perform the surgery without getting the wisdom teeth out of the way. They interrupt the bite.

Long story short, they remove the teeth, then cut me up like the Joker would then removed a nerve in the lip and reattached it artificially so now I have little to no feeling in a certain area on my bottom right lip. It's cool though because the feeling comes back a little everyday. Looking on the brightside I know any girl can bite as hard as she wants on it and I don't feel squat. Don't know what that says about me but.... eh.

But yeah man, that tongue thing, that scares me, but not in a "you're screwed" way, more like "holy crap! they DO THAT?"

Aw I'd hate to be perma-numb, I always have the urge to bite my lip, see how hard I can do it, I imagine there'd be nowt left by now. That all just sounds, well grim, I thinkI would have had a nervous break down, I panic enough over the injections, never mind all the rest of it ]: My problem is just having a small gob (lol, biggest joke ever if you heard me) but there wasnt enough room for all my gnashers, I've had loads out over the years from over crowding, you'd think I'd stop being a wimp by now and man up over the injections, but no, thats the worst fucking part :rage:

And the tongue thing was just grim, I had tongue tie, shoulda been corrected when I was a kid, but wasnt. So that was a barrel of laughs. Injections and stiches on the under side of the tongue...it makes me feel green just thinking about it :gonk:

lol! saw what you did thar.

Injections: Injections always scare me so you're not alone there my man. They are like chainsaw scenes in an action movie, you always think the worse is about to happen but it's not like you're going to stop it from happening until your fears are confirmed. I think it's a common fear.

Lip: Being numb there isn't as bad as people make it out to be. You just forget there's no feeling there so long as you don't squeeze it, (gah! another innuendo...)

Anywho as for chicks biting out chunks, thanks for the nightmares tonight!
