1879 Pokeyman cards, and one ebay auction later...

I think $1 sounds reasonable for the whole set.
 
I didn't even have 500 cards when I had all of mine >.>

I don't think I even owned more than 50 different cards myself.
 
pokemon cards cost the eye off your face back in the day. $1 wouldnt even be worth the effort
 
I've been collecting since I was about.. 8 or 9... so over 10 years even. Plus nowadays I buy a pack randomly if I feel the urge for nostalgia sake.
 
I know you want to feel justified in saving so many cards...but you seriously need to reconsider your offer. That's way too much for anyone to pay.

Who knows? You may get lucky and find one dude who's just absolutely insane about collecting them, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Chances are, you're going to either not sell them or lower the price drastically.
 
Card sales are just sad to see. Once I was idealistic, thinking my own cards would bring in some cash, but researching on eBay to see how much people were putting on sale, and the offers given...Like I said, quite said :(
 
Yeah you're both right, but I'm holding out hope for at least 10 days. I've checked recent completed listings and there hasn't been a large enough lot like mine.. most were roughly 1000/1200 and sold for about 200 bucks-ish..
 
Ouch. I would think that the older the card, the more it would be worth. So even a first generation released common Pokemon Card would be at least $1 on it's own since it came out over a decade ago.
 
So I got an offer today for 150$. D= I'm not gonna get much better than that, huh? What should I do to compensate, maybe overcharge them a bit on shipping? They haven't msg'd me for a quote yet even tho I STATED that it's NOT 1$ shipping an they need to msg for a quote...

I haven't yet.. I counter offered for 250$ plus unknown shipping costs so far... it's a lot of cards and I'm still ambitious for a fair price. Dx
 
Nothing less than 300? I ALREADY SENT THEM THE COUNTER OFFER. Dx.. maybe they'll decline.

I can always overcharge on shipping.. can't possibly be less than 50$
