But that's exactly the point, if crime figures are similar between the UK and the US then it's a clear illustration of why having a society armed with guns is entirely unnecessary and unsafe. Crime stays the same but fatalities goes through the roof when guns are factored in.


No, you're not hearing what I'm saying. Fatalities are the SAME. Guns have nothing to do with it -- taking them away merely ensures a greater amount of helpless victims. As a woman, I'm well aware of my physical capabilities and realistic enough to know that I can't take on a bigger, stronger man. But my gun ensures I stay safe.

All gun owners -- the ones NOT going crazy, but the average gun owner -- is in fact a very responsible person. They're some of the best people I know. These people do not have guns because they WANT to kill someone, they have them because they know there are others out there that want to kill THEM. The day I'm gauranteed absolute safety from harm, I will hand in my gun. I'll have no need of it.
