Oh please Square do not remake the most over rated game of all time before you remake the ones that are actually good. I know what you can do, remake Crisis Core for the PS3 because story and character wise it's about a thousand times better than the original game anyway.

What the feck Are you kidding me? Crisis Core is complete and utter crap. I mean, the worse thing to happen to the FF series... literally. That game single-handedly killed FFVII and it's once brilliant storyline.

Or better yet leave Final Fantasy 7 alone (finally) and milk Final Fantasy 8 and 9, or finally make the new fucking Chrono Game I've waited 10 years for. You know I know it's hard for you to understand the concept of GOOD anymore Square, but really.

If VII wasn't good it wouldn't be the highest selling title under Square Enix's belt. I do agree, though. They should leave VII alone and stop with all the crappy spin offs(BC, CC, etc) but if the sole thing they do for VII is remake the game, that'd be epic.

Anyway, it does seem like yet ANOTHER rumor.

First off, Crisis Core is only possible because FFVII's Story line, it wouldn't be if VII wasn't, no one would give a crap about Crisis Core without VII, so saying it is "better" is just silly sounding. Secondly the dialogue for Crisis Core was like sitting through hours of SOAP opera's --- and I'd know I watch them. I have to say X-play summed it up pretty well.

Also; No one gives two shits about FFVIII, FFIX or Chrono thats why FFVII is in heavy demand -- not FFVIII, FFIX, Chrono. What the hell could a sequel to 8 or 9 consist of they'd just ruin them.

10 million people made VII the highest selling Square Enix game(that means even over Dragon Quest and stuff other titles), do you honestly think more than a handful of the fan base is just blindly loving the game because everyone else does? Sorry, you don't get to the number one spot solely because idiots just say they like the game. You get to being number one because you're the best. And before all the crappy spin offs like CC and crap, VII was and still is for that matter, the greatest sold SE game--which gives the obvious conclusion that it is obviously most loved genuinely.

What's the first? Every site I check says VII is the highest selling SE title. :/ If they were trying to move on from VII they'd stop making spin offs and stuff. They're milking, sadly. It's the milking such a brilliant game that bothers me. All they keep doing is wasting time and money on crappy spin offs when they could be making what everyone wants... the damn remake already.

It's because FFVII fans also feel the need to take complaints against the game personally. Every time I post anything slightly critical about it, there's always about two people who feel the need to defend it. And then they start making crazy accusations.

I'm not one in a million. Half this site doesn't like FFVII the best, or think it's the best Final Fantasy game. May I also remind you that sales don't make something amazing? Tik Tok sold 10 million copies and Gaga has sold over 20 million albums but I don't see you guys saying how amazing they are.

Why? Because you don't like them. Which is fine. I don't like Final Fantasy 7, and don't want to see it remade. That is also fine.

He died at the end of Crisis Core in an epic, balls-to-the-wall battle against the entire shinra army. Protecting Cloud.

Cloud, then not satisfied with who he was and being an insecure little punk, tricked himself into believing he and Zack were the same person. Only Tifa could straighten Cloud out and make him realize he wasn't the badass he thought he was.

And even after that, in Advent Children, Cloud is still a whiny punk. Boo hoo I have geostigma boo hoo I don't want to see my family boo hoo. Zack gives Cloud a peptalk in the battle against Sephiroth. Zack is everything Cloud wants to be. A hero.

That fight wasn't epic, either, lol. Cloud is the definition of bad ass. You do know Zack is just some crappy stupid retcon, right? In the original game he was a no one. He still is a no one. Is he the one that beat Sephiroth? No, Cloud did.

Having a deadly disease that has no cure like Geostigma is pretty tough, but let's never mind that, Cloud never ever cries about having geostigma. His problem is with someone he cares about having it, Denzel--someone he holds dear. He never thought he was Zack, either. Play the game again, dude. He simply thought he had Zack's occupational legacy of being a first class soldier. That's all Cloud wanted. To be a first class soldier. He didn't want to be Zack. And it was Sephiroth who was his hero, not Zack.

Cloud fights with two heavy swords in each hand, while steering a motorcycle, and does it with ease, THAT'S badass.

Cloud is the hero. He saves the world. He risks his life in epic fights and lives. Zack's just mere fodder.

No one said otherwise. Of course if Zack hadn't of saved him Cloud would have died. But Cloud was in a comatose-like state, he couldn't exactly fight back.

How does that make him stronger or more kick ass? Cloud's the one who continuously kicks the crap out of Sephiroth while Zack could not--therefor making Cloud the stronger more kick ass can of whoop ass, Cody.

I care about FFIX and Chrono... Chrono Cross is my favorite JRPG of all time, FFIX is my third.

But I agree that FFIX doesn't need a sequel, and any other Chrono game made by SE would be ass. SE makes movies, not games.

Which is why, even if I liked FFVII, I would be very wary of any remake of anything they made.

Well nobody said it was an official remake.. but just a bit of news that was just a mere little hint.. that another developer wants Nomura to have an idea of a VII remake. I do not know why it has so much hype. It would certainly take SE a very long time to remake the game. It has huge demand.. but it does not mean it is going to happen. So all these hints we see nowadays is not "Oh my god it is OFFICIAL!". You guys might be jumping on your beds because you are thinking about VII in next gen graphics.. but too bad it was never officially confirmed then huh? Well.. VII fanboys/girls will be VII fanboys/girls whether they do get official confirmation or not.
