I just had a few games, and it's nowhere neeeear as fun without people down the mic.
I can't concentrate if I'm not really enjoying it either, so I was really bad :wacky:

For people who live in the UK:

Do any of you guys know what sort of amount GAME would give you for trading games in? When I bought ME2 I got a paper bag to put old games in and the guy said I should trade them in at GAME for store credit (or cash if I brought ID with me) etc etc. :gasp:

I'm thinking of trading in older games like Unchartered 2 and Lost Planet 2 but also some newer ones like AC : Brotherhood. :mokken:

I might as well, better than them gathering dust on my shelf. :mokken:
 
You're trading in Brotherhood and I haven't even got it yet :rage:
I just platinumed AC2 so I'll be getting Brotherhood soon. I'll either buy it or borrow it off my friend, IF he lets me. Which is unlikely, since he's only had it a couple of weeks. But it'd save me loads of money if he did :sad3:

I've never traded in games. I just hoard them. I have boxes of old games that gather dust, but I can't bring myself to part with them :sad3:
 
I don't think GAME would take anything that wasn't a PS3/360 game anyway. :wacky:

The guy did say they didn't accept PC games for some reason though. :hmmm:
 
With PC games I imagine it's the code on the manual you need to activate the game, so technically all you'd have to do is get the code and then you could play the game regardless of whether you had a hard copy or downloaded it. You can't get a refund if they don't work either. I guess it's incase you get the code blacklisted and then, because they wouldn't know, they'd sell the game onto another person.

Never done it. You lose more money than you spent on it, and you can guarantee that somewhere in the future you'll have a craving for an old game, realise you traded it in and then go back and buy it again.

So many people I know have traded in games but then bought them again years or even months later. :ness:

Also, I can't cope with parting with them after all the memories, etc.



Though if you all trade in all of your precious games to get LBP2 then that would be ace. :woot:

It depends on the game and where you sell it. The only 2 times I would ever sell a game is if either I really need the money or if it is a game I know I will never play again. Even then I'd probably sell it online. Selling it online is the best way to make a decent profit for it.
 
Yeah, you get a lot more for them online than you would trading them in. If you trade them in, the shops don't offer you as much because they have to make a profit when they re-sell them :mokken:
 
I've known people trade in 3-4 games just to get one new one. It doesn't seem worth it, to me. If people have no emotional attachment to any of the games, and they are likely to never play them again, then I guess I can see why they'd do it. I'm an idiot though, and I get attached to everything. :sad2: I also don't like to think of what a waste it would be to lose those games just to make room for one, which itself will one day become an old game and yesterday's big thing.
 
I've only traded games in once, they were pretty old like FIFA08, FIFA09 etc which I obviously didn't a lot for lulz. I did get £9 for GTAIV though. Win. :mokken:
 
I just gave in and bought AC Brotherhood :ohoho:

I'll stop buying any for a while though, got sooo many now :gonk:

One day some of you should get LBP2, though. I'm having to play with the enemy! The enemy! :O Damon to be specific! I've been slapping him a lot on there, and I stuck a giant nose on him the other day, so perhaps I can fight for Cruxis while I play with him. :hmmm:
 
:lew: yeah, I don't understand multiplayer on AC at all, one of my mates tried to explain it to me but :wacky: wasn't happening.
I have LBP and I hardly played it :hmmm: so I don't think I'll be getting LBP2 anytime soon :sad3:
 
I logged in today and saw I had earned achievements. 8(

£50 says Ari and Ryan will try and get a Platinum trophy for FFF. :ohoho:
