i've just been exposed to supernatural

I respectfully disagree with the negative opinion. This newest and last season is quite tacky, however. Different writer/director, I believe. :\

it was cringe worthy. the concept was completely fantastic, but sadly that's all. it was written atrociously and the acting was just as bad. the line at the end about 600 years bad luck was so predictable, and horribly delivered. there's just no subtlety to it whatsoever.

I liked it when they were actually hunting supernatural creatures out of folklore but the whole angels vs. demons thing is shit.

@The Doctor:

Sorry, man, that just hit my funny bone for some reason. :wacky:

But you have to give Supernatural credit for making fun of Twilight. That's just win. (well, at least for someone like me, who really dislikes Twilight and all its mouth-foaming, shrieking fans.)

credit given where credit is due. i absolutely love the idea behind the show, but it all needs a lot more pre-production work to make it work on screen.

Things do get a bit tacky, and even I'll admit that and I'm a big fan of the show. It's like... okay.... guys... GTFO with the whole 'dad expects us to do' and 'what measure is human' and 'metaphysical problems of the day'. Just... go out and kill things while frequently making wisecracks. GOSH.

And though the angel/demon/armageddon parts may not have been uber, they did have their highlights. Cas being one of them.

"[automated female voice] Hello, you have a call from: "[Cas] I don't understand, why do you want me to say my name?" Will you accept the call?

And,

Sam: What happened to you?
Cas: I found a liquor store.
Sam: ... And?
Cas: I drank it!

:wacky:

I like the way they were going with the 4th season. The whole "break seals to unlock armageddon thing" was interesting. Then, the fifth season actually continued on with what they said was going to happen at the end of the 2nd season but for some reason waited three years to add on to. But I will agree that the new season doesn't look promising. After I saw the random introduction to one of the first episodes of the season that just so happened to show Sam's muscular self working out shirtless, I had a feeling that the show was going down a bad route.
