I fuckin hate it when someone wants you to move something for them that only takes a good 30 seconds, and you were doing something beforehand, but then they go and explain why they want you to move it as if it has any relevance to the job. Next thing you know it's been a half hour and you still haven't started...just tell me what to do and STFU
 
my communications teacher would probably suggest you use a perspective exercise

try writing a paragraph from the other person's point of view, as to why he/she would think it was worthwhile explaining his reasoning to you
 
wow. that sounds exactly like my landlord.

whenever my friends are over she makes them move boxes and all this crap, and it would take allot less time if she would just stop talking.

this one time I was making a sandwitch and she came into the kitchen and talked to me for like literally an hour, no joke. about lettuce

But yeah, shit's annoying. Personally I'd tell them all to stfu and then sit back and let them finish the shit. Because seriously they're rambling isn't going to contribute anything worthwhile to the job so . . . either they shut their pieholes and get down and dirty with me (not like that, pervs :wacky:) or they keep yapping and I do NOTHING.

yeah people here are more direct, more then in USA I believe, they usually say what there needs to be said, however there are some that talk way too much and about trivial stuff, but for me personally its so funny that it is enjoyable

but yeah I can understand when you are busy etc, it can be pretty annoying, you want to take care of your former task and the new task must be done while you were busy with your first task and then when they are talking too much like your superior is treating you like you are some young kid that needs his hands hold or sumting it can be pretty fucked up indeed lmao.
