Feeling confident this summer and have some goals? I'll list the main few of mine:

Spend more time with friends.
Lose weight, get in better shape.
Finish some videogames I was stuck on.

For some reason today, at the beginning of Summer vacation I felt very excited and confident and required myself to do some special stuff.

This year I'm also going to a Japanese-learning summer camp where I can be immersed in Japanese culture and language speaking so I can learn some of the language and food dishes and stuff.

Well my summer goals are:

Lose unneeded weight on Wii-Fit.
Actually do something this time.
Get my first job.
Finish re-building my room.

Watch all seasons of Buffy.
Get a Tan.

Learn Chemistry. Master it.
Disect and study bugs.

Start up my Japanese lessons again XD

Learn the ins and outs of CS4.

Clean our Yard.

I forgot to add these in:

Watch the rest of CSI: Miami Season 1
Get better at drawing.

Thanks for reminding me about my TV series xD

Mine is to Exercise,
Read a lot of books i didnt finish,
beat some videogames,
practice my DDR skills,
Meet some new girls and
Learn some Karate Skills

I find everybody ironic in that they want to lose weight, yet finish a multitude of video games. :monster: Going to the gym/exercising and then just sitting on your butt for a few hours is pretty much only going to counterattack your effects... UNLESS you are taking enough protein/fiber supplements, drinks of some sort to keep your metabolic rate going, even at rest.

Jus' something to think about. :mokken:

My main goal this summer, is that after my bf has gone back home to Jolly ol' England, I'm gonna have a roo'mervation. I'm knocking out the wall between the two small spare rooms, clearing out all the shit there into the garage/or my current room.. and start that new, bigger/longer room over from scratch.

I'm gonna do everything/pay for everything myself as I know my folks can't help out, and buy new carpet, buy new paint, baseboards... basically take the whole thing down and start from the beginning. It's gonna be fun. I love cleaning, organizing, renovating... it's my main summer task to just... do everything and get it all set up for when my bf comes back. I thought my current room would be good enough, but this 12x12 foot shoebox just doesn't cut it anymore. And who knows how long we may need to stay here, may as well make it worth it.

Oh... well what if I... umm... D: But it's not like you instantly gain fat when you sit down and play videogames for 4 hours after 3-4 hours of exercising. You should have seen me playing videogames during the school year. Sometimes after school I'd just sit down and play for the rest of the day.

No, but it all depends on how you're going about it. 3-4 hours of exercising (be it cardio, weight training) in one day is going to burn you out. You probably shouldn't do more than 2-3... maybe even 2. Especially if you're jumping into an exercise regime with weights you haven't done before, the first week your body is going to be dying because you've put it through something it's not used to. You have to gently ease into it, otherwise you'll just destroy yourself before you even start.. and then you'll feel sick and tired and not want to do it anymore.

Hopefully I'm going to be working full-time this year. Last year I couldn't get the extra hours, and I was just sitting doing nothing for five days a week for four months and the boredom nearly killed me.

I'm going to put my CV up on a few film production websites, and see if I can maybe get a little work through that, though I'm not too optimistic on that front. I'd take anything right down to clapper loader or something crap like that, but not having a driving licence is going to be a problem.

I'm probably going to start doing a bit more exercise. My fitness level has really dropped over the last year, as I've discovered from playing football again. As soon as I've finished moving back into my parent's I'm going to start biking a bit more. I'm not bothered about losing weight or gaining muscle or anything like that. I just need to gain a bit of stamina, really.

A job would be nice

I'm content with pretty much everything else :rage:

- Train for the Philly 1/2 marathon in the fall.
- Bring my yard back from the grave. Evidently the torential rains and 80+ inches of snow last year were all a mirage and I really moved to northern fucking Africa without being informed. 6 straight weeks of 85-95 degree temps and no rain and it's only 7/1??? Can't wait to see my water bill.
- Learn how to install wood flooring so I can finally get started on my basement project.
- Paint my dining room and living room.
- Potty train my daughter. :ness:
- Get to at least one Phillies game.

My plans were to get a job and get into a better sleep schedule. Seeing as how I'm currently on at 5 AM, I guess things are goin' pretty WELL!!! :rage:

*sigh* I need pills. :ffs:

I intend to visit my local pool more often this summer. I'm determined to overcome my mild hydrophobia. I can also do with a bit more of practise when it comes to swimming.

In fact, I want to use this summer to be more physically active. I've spent too much of the previous year doing very little. Unfortunately I do not reside within a convenient walking distance of a gym, so I'm not going to visit it that often. I'll probably be content with just jogs on the promenade.

I also aspire to seriously work on editing my personal statement in time for September and contemplate my university choices. I have the Golden Triangle universities (Oxford, Cambridge and the London ones) in mind - although that's probably a bit too ambitious for me.

My goal: Team up with Stephen King, R.A Salvatore, bring back J.R.R Tolken from the dead, find Christopher Moore, and bring back Sir Author Conan Doyle, then go find Clive Barker, as we go bring back Douglas Adams then we will form a team of epicness.

Our goals:

Find Stephenie Meyer and demand that she never write another "novel" again. Then send her back to her home planet with a bomb strapped to her chest. Afterwhich, we will put all of the greatest bands together to do the same with Lady Gaga and her "music". However, she doesn't get to go back to her home planet, she just gets shot. :mokken:

LA RESISTANCE!

I am thoroughly behind this idea. Do you need donations to fund your journey?

Also Fleur even if you aren't close to a gym, if it's an important commitment to you just do it! I signed up to one that was close to work, but an otherwise 30 minute drive away. After I lost my job but still had the membership, I went anyway even if I had nothing else going on in the day.
