So, June 30th(going by IMDB)is the release date for Twilight: Eclipse and then on July 1st is the release of The Last Airbender.

I'm sure you all know of the Twilight movie so here's a trailer for the last Airbender;

Which will you see? And is anyone excited for either of these movies?

Discuss.

Actually, July 2nd is the release of Avatar. :britt:

Definitely going to see TLA, getting a friend from my ex-work who's into anime an shit and we're gonna go see it together.. unless she bails. D;

I'm gunna go see Avatar TLA because I fell in love with the series. I'm sure it's gunna be a trilogy, so I better start saving up some money...

I don't think either of them look good, really. But I read all the Twilight books, so I kind of have to see how Eclipse goes up on the screen. Based on the trailer it looks God-awful, plus I was severely disappointed by the second one (New Moon) and the book Eclipse was the one in the series I liked the least, but despite all that I still feel obligated to see it.

As for the airbending, I used to like M. Night Shyamalan but then I watched Lady In The Water, which was... insanely stupid. I decided to give him another chance with The Happening, because Lady In The Water was probably the worst thing he'd ever come up with. Or probably not. So in my eyes his creativity has worn out.
That said, he does seem to be going a different route with this one, but he's probably got some other stupid trick up his sleeve, so I'll wait for the reviews before I even consider it.

Eclipse.

I've watched the other two films like a faithful fan and so I'll definitely be seeing the third one, considering it's my favourite of the books and has plenty of action in there to keep me watching.

Airbender. I am not a Twilight fan in the least.

By contrast; I was one of the fanatics on /co/ the night the "Boiling Rock" two-parter was leaked and posted for download. Will TLA be good? Who knows. Is it looking...not terrible? Yes.

As for complaints about Shyamalamadingdong, I think this is well outside his normal genre of movies that judging based on previous films is skewed.

You can see a review of the movie here if you're really worried.

Personally, I'm gonna see The Last Airbender. I'm a fan of the series and it seems as though TLA is looking good.

The Last Airbender, definitely.

However, without a doubt Eclipse will sell more, mainly because it's an overrated trashy movie, based off an overrated trashy novel set. Also, most of the fans of the Twilight "saga" are brain dead meat puppets that'll see or read anything with Twilight smeared over it.

How do people read/watch that kind of trash? It's bloody awful. :ffs: (SEE WHAT I DID THERE?! VAMPIRE PUN, BITCHES!)

Airbender kicks Twilight's ass anyway.......Barney even kicks Twilight's ass. Airbender is full of win as the show was awesome. Sholdn't the whole "romantic" vibe of twilight be gone by now? I mean who's that obsessed over a relationship for four movies? It's getting old :mokken:

Well it got a good review! But it also is 3D, huh.. I kinda hate 3D. Maybe I'll rent it when it comes out on dvd.

(Rincewind: I take it you have not read the Twilight books, then?)

Coming from a non-fan on both of the movies, I'm looking forward more to see the new Twilight movies. It's not great, but I gave it a chance to watch and it's not garbage either.

I've not gotten into TLA yet... Don't think I'll bother... :hmmm:

Oh no, don't try to pull that argument on me. I was forced to read every one of those awful books during book club in my Senior year of high school. Unlike most critics of the book, I have actually read them. Every last painstakingly drawn out word.

I would kill to have hours of my time given back to me. -__- Words cannot describe just how much I hate the Twilight series.

Your senior year was 3 years ago according to your age...I didn't know all of the books had been out for that long :hmmm:

Actually it was about last year. I made some mistakes and missed about a combined total of 89 days of high school. They refused to let me walk, so I had to try it again without missing days. Along with my mother holding me back in the 3rd grade for reasons I'll never understand, and missing too many days in the ninth grade and failing, I graduated late. -__-

So unfortunately, I have read them all. <_<

Twilight was first published in 2005, with, I believe, a little under a year and a half gap between each book.. maybe even just one year. Breaking Dawn was released I think maybe two years ago? Not that long ago.

Does anyone else notice how fast these Twilight movies are being shoveled out? Far too close together, with little room to even build anticipation between each one. Granted, the sooner the hype is over with, the sooner it's done. It's utter drivel. =/ I'll see Eclipse, but I won't pay for it.. I'll end up downloading it. And I'll definitely see Breaking Dull (again, downloaded), cause I want to see how they take on those 'sex scenes' for pre teen girls.

Deff the Last Airbender.

I hate Kristen what's her face :rage: She's a horrible actress IMHO. I saw the first movie and it wasn't good at all. Like I don't think it was as great as people made it seem.

Meh.... just haven't been up to seeing Eclipse

TLA looks fracking awesome! =D

the action and whatnot.... I like action.

Plus, like 5 years ago (when it first came out) I watched TLA so... why not? :-)

Just as a disclaimer, that wasn't meant to be an argumentative question, but I totally get where you're coming from. Being forced into something you originally dislike makes you hate it beyond belief, I've been through a lot of those experiences.

From what I've heard/read, they are doing them as quickly as they can because the actors who play the vampires aren't supposed to look as if they've aged at all throughout the entire series (because vampires don't age) and since the majority of them are in their early 20s this is a hard obstacle to conquer.

Does anybody else think Bella looks constipated all the time?
Yes. But I like it. I liked her in everything I've seen her in: Panic Room, Speak, In The Land Of Women, The Messengers, and Twilight.
Constipated acting.. interesting concept, but I think she nails it regardless.
