I noticed the massive increase in rep as well. For me as well. It's a bit of a broken system really. It would be better if there wasn't any 'rep power' and repping only added 1 point regardless of how much you had. You could have 10 low rep people rep you and someone with over 2000 rep, rep you once and it would be equal or more than that. Doesn't make sense IMO.
