I remember watching Vanille today and her accent got me thinking back to that big debate we had aaaaaages ago. You know, the one whether she sounds British or Australian? I think I've come to the solution that she's both. I really do think that. xD
 
I still do think she's more British than Australian. If anything, Fang's more Australian than what she is from what I've heard from her so far. Accents are confuing things, aren't they?
 
I think it's possibly British-Australian? :gasp:

Like, Fang has the traditional Aussie accent, while Vanille has more British inflections.
 
So a bit of both? Hmm, I like that. Sounds good to me and somewhat makes the answer clearer at bloody last. But because of me being analytical and all, I study when she sounds more British and when she's more Australian. It drives me mad just by what I find. :gasp:
 
:gasp: No offense, but I haven't even touched XIII yet. Waiting until the end of the semester. So, just don't tell anything that's key to the story, please? :grin:

For now, still playing UC2 multiplayer and LBP. Just got to Rank 30 on UC2. :grin: Other than that, not doing much. xD

I should play some more of it tonight. I feel so left behind! I was going to do so last night, but then I got too tired and decided to go bed. Least the Doritos are at the ready when downstairs is free for me to go and play to my heart's content.
 
No, they're a snack I must have when gaming. They're so cheesy and just beautiful. I'm going on with myself again, aren't I? But yeah, they're just lovely crisps to gorge on.
 
Doritos FTW!!!!! Anyway I have been neglecting FFXIII for the past few days because I rented Star Ocean: The Last Hope. And I have to say that I love that game alot. I could see myself buying it and enjoying it completely.

And its odd that you guys are discussing Vanille's accent, because while I was playing me and my girlfriend were trying to figure out what kind of accent and we had guessed that it sounded mostly like an Australian accent.
 
Sorry, Ami. :gasp: I was in a terrible mood yesterday. Not sure if that came off bitchy or not, but please forgive me.

But, yeah...I like the cheeseburger doritos, tbh. :hmmm: Loved them when they first came out about 3 years back, so I'm pretty excited that they brought them back.

Gaming wise: Getting better with the shotgun on UC2. Got 20 kills in one deathmatch thanks to that. :grin:

I'm training my Pokémons. Starmie in particular = BEAST.
 
Vanille sounds very Aussie to me, actually. I'm more used to Aussie accents though, having dated them in the past. XD

People just don't recognize the accent as Aussie because it's not as brash as the stereotypical accent associated with Australia.

I haven't played it either. :sad2: I need to pick that game sooner or later (and 10 other games that I want :wacky: ). Speaking of FFXIII I am about halfway into Chapter 7 and I am just waiting for
Hope to yell and scream and basically try to kill Snow for "letting" his mother die.
And I love Fang!! :D She is an awesome character.
 
I think Chapter 7 is my favourite in the game!
The scene with Lightning and Hope when the speaker goes "L'cie located!" and it zooms in on the two of them on a huge screen...it sends shivers down my spine.
 
I don't even think you'd have any problems playing Uncharted, Mark. :gasp:

I easily pwned the game on easy mode. Now I'm trying it on normal mode and then hard if I can even gather the courage to do so.

Oh, I'm on chapter five myself. I got stuck on this monster with Lightning and Hope last night. Hope died as he always does (I'm really annoyed every time!) and I was stuck with Lightning, constantly attacking and then healing. It got so annoying that I allowed myself to die after half an hour. I get bored easily. xD
 
I always thought Vanille had a very 'british girl' kind of voice (stereotypically speaking) until it was pointed out she was aussie. I never would've guessed. It's not as strong as Fang's :hmmm:
 
You know Damon, I thought the same thing, but when Vikki pointed out she was Australian, I noticed it a lot more. It's the inflections of some of the words that sound Australian, although for the most part, she just sounds British.
 
I knew it was gonna be an Aussie accent after reading the VA's interview. So...yeah :wacky:.

And yes! Chapter 7 is great, it's my favourite along with Chapter 9,
Everything that happens...as soon as Lightning and Hope get spotted you know things are gonna get sweet from there.
Can't wait for my next playthrough.
