Wow... after charging 1,200MSP for a map pack, people download it and find out the maps don't work!

Dude :p you can play those maps for the first time at 2th april till 5th april when its double xp weekend, from then (after 2th april) you can play them all the time.

They mentioned in that xp weekend you'll be able to play the stimulus pack maps for the first time.

Seems kinda cheap charging alot for 5 maps when 2 of them arent even new =/
Il still buy them of course as i love the game. I just with theyd fix some of the bugs aswell though.
 
I don't think it'll be £20. They said the pack was 1200 MS points which is about £10 if I remember correctly. I doubt they'll bump the price up for the PS3.

I'm looking forward to them. It seems like I'm playing in Afghan, Karachi and Estate (18-1-0 :wacky:) all the time.
 
Bought them but the Map Pack has a bug right now and they are working on the Update currently.

Everyone's going crazy, cussing out the makers and all, but just give it time. I spent $25 to get the 2000 MS points since I didn't have any in my account, but no need getting all riled up now. It'll be fixed shortly. It's happened before, this won't be the last time either.

Am looking forward to playing those Double XP playlists though and prestiging a few times!

yes i know its harsh but still, for a few days now i have heard about the MW2 Stimulus map Pack, was really really REALLY looking forward to it, MARCH 30th RELEASE WOOOOO! was really looking forward to it until about an hour before its release

WHAT!!!!! i mean c'mon, its not just a freaking microsoft game jeez, it available on all consoles, microfoft are soo gayyyy! i mean every game released on multiple platforms is advertised on xbox. pffffffffffffffffffffft

oh i even kept 25 pound in my account for this freaking game, money i could of pent on god of war 3 but noooooooooo! ahh well FFIX on PSN store soon WIN!

I'm done whining now. anyone want a game of halo? :mokken:
 
Pretty much. Luckily I have an XBOX 360, though. But it sucks for other system owners.
 
We already have a topic pertaining to the Stimulus Map Pack for Modern Warfare 2 so I merged the 2 topics. We don't need more than one, even if it's to complain about the dissatisfaction of the product.
 
screw this dlc,well,screw it for me,i would buy it if i do prestige but im not doing it,mw2 wont last 4ever with me. A map pack like that is too expensive man!!!!

That's marketing for you, Activision don't optionally choose to make the DLC a time-exclusive, Micro$oft pay them to keep it exclusive for a limited time. Same goes with adverts, Micro$oft pay for advertising, especially with multi-platform games whereas Sony focus on exclusives.

On topic, I probably won't be buying it, especially for a tenner. I'd rather pay for some UC2 DLC :wacky:
 
I'll probably end up buying it just so matchmaking can go quicker. I remember with Halo 3, we weren't allowed to play certain gametypes if we didn't buy a map pack. Don't wanna go through that again...
 
i tried asking recent players for 10th prestige boost and giving me 400 mic points each,but its not working!!! i have like 2500 mic points but i dont wanna waist it on this map pack,i wanna try to get points from players but if it still wont work,then screw it,although all my friends say that their awesome,which encourages me to buy it one day.i wish it goes lower to like 800 mic points,thats fair enough for me.
 
Meh this is an honest total waste to me. My cousin came over 2 days ago and he put his hard drive in and we tried out the maps. To be honest it was complete shit too me. I think that some of the maps suck. Storm was the only one I liked.Overgrown was ok it seems the same as COD 4. Bailout is horrible to me and the other one junkyard was it? Yeah thats just like sub base and is not needed. No need to buy this as I dont play MW2 anymore. I might play only with friends from time to time.
 
Overgrown IS the same as CoD 4. It was a classic map and fan favourite so they brought it back along with Crash.
