Sephiroth vs. Superman

Oooook. I don't think this is even debatable. The FF7 Sephiroth could destroy the planet too with meteor. And I don't think the stupid arguments that the Seph haters or SM lovers show have a damn base. He can fly so fast that he changes the rotation of the world? He can launch a comet and destroy the planet? The almighty Superman has THE MAJOR weakness: He's good. I hardly believe that he would destroy the earth or put humans in danger just to defeat Seph(which he couldn't anyway). Sephiroth doesn't care who he goes through to achieve his goal so he could just summon meteor, which is a black magic SPELL, to which Superman has never been shown to have a resistance to. Generally even though the Masamune wouldn't be able to cut through Superman, a chain of the Black magic spells that Sephiroth possesses would be enough to wipe his ass. There is no reasoning that Superman could defeat Seph except for the simple statement: "I hate Seph so SM would win" thing. U just can't say that such a powerful being could be defeated by a stupid superhero with immense physical power who trembles and sweats and faints at the touch of a green Ore.
Oh and the above are for FF7 Sephiroth. AC Sephiroth wouldn't even have to bother hmself with Superman, since he would just infuse him with a mass of corrupted Lifestream and Superman would get such a nasty Geostigma he would barely be able to move.
I don't get why everyone compares any character he thinks strong to Sephiroth if Sephiroth is always beaten by every1.
Superman has become so overrated over the past years, it has become tiring.

Superman crushes Sephiroth's head before Sephiroth can think.

Sephiroth doesn't have anywhere near the speed to keep up with Superman.

come on superman take his power from the sun so by covering the whole word with dark clouds then superman is dead

Sephiroth would rape Superman in reality, but seeing as the good guys must always win in some way Sephiroth will suddenly go all big headed and over confident allowing Superman to get a lucky shot in just like what happend in AC. C'mon, Cloud would have had his arse whoooped in AC if Sephiroth had tried, same goes for Superman.

I do not like Superman. But I'm not stupid enough to say he'd lose to Sephiroth.

I think it would be a very close match sephiroth is near god and superman is well superman. superman would probably win in the end after and epic match and for all of you who say sephiroth would equip his sword with kryptonite or supernova pakced with it, superman is now almost immune to kryptonite having been subjected to it for so long. Now dont get me wrong I like Sephiroth much more but there is very little chance he could beat superman who moves WAY faster than sephiroth and move so fast seph wouldnt even be able to see him and his heat vision could do some serious damage. As for magic its a completly different world between Dc's magic and FF magic you cant just say death would kill him because it wouldnt work that way.

which is ironic because that's what Sephiroth does to most of his haters :P

anyway, it depends entirly on the type of battle used. If the battle was fought using the FF stat based system, where Sephiroth has time to cast his spells, he would own, however in a real life situation where Superman could just punch him while he was casting a spell I am not so sure.
 
i think after seeing "ff7 last order" anime version.... superman has a sure win.. geeshh... has anyone seen that movie aside from me? i just want to clear something that i did'nt understand,,,
