Sephiroth vs. Superman

Definitely Sephiroth as well. I just don't see Superman winning the fight, I really don't. Sephiroth's pretty damn smart so he'd figure out how to defeat Superman. Kryptonite, anyone? :)

the same way that either lex luther did or the way that batman did. that is how! common there is no one that sepiroth couldnt beat (besides cloud)!
 
And Superman could easily punch Meteor into nothingness.

Honestly, I think Sephiman would win. Or Superoth.

Ok, in all seriousness, I'd say Superman. Sephiroth summons a meteor? Superman flies into space and destroys it. Hand-to-hand combat? Superman far outclasses Sephiroth. Sure, Sephiroth has some magic, but would a "Slow" spell really slow Superman down that much? Even a "Stop" wouldn't last that long. And "Mini", he'd still be unbelievably powerful. I'm gunning for Superman.

I like Sephiroth more. It's just he's not as strong as Superman.
 
First off, Supernova was a gameplay mechanic, as in Sephiroth can't blow up the solar system. Secondly, Meteor tooks days, maybe even weeks, to collide with the planet. Third of all, how the hell can a frickin' sword hurt Superman? He's taken tougher stuff than that. And finally, when the hell did Sephiroth become a god?!? Last time I checked, he failed at that. However, if we're using JLU Supes (A much, much weaker version than Pre-Crisis Supes) and is inflicted with PIS (Plot Induced Stupidity) and CIS (Character Induced Stupidity), then Sephiroth might stand a chance. Otherwise, Supes melts Sephy with his heat vision. (And if we're using the Pre-Crisis Silver Age Superdick, he marries Jenova to a gorilla.) I am NOT a Sephiroth hater, it's just that he hasn't shown any feats that put him on Superman's level.

BTW, Sephiroth can't instantly cast spells, he needs to chant the incantation. During that time, Supes speedblitzes him into a red swear on the floor before he can get a single syllable off.
