Anyhow, I think he'll be a wonderful President, I can't imagine anyone having a bad word to say about him, though that depends on whether or not he gives us anything bad to say about him. He should do well, he wasn't voted in for no reason.

Anyway, I think he'll make a great president. After Bush, I think anyone would. Honestly, for the first time in four years, I feel proud to say that I am an American and that I am proud to be an American. I hope that didn't come off too cheesey. XD

I think he delivered a very impressive and powerful speech in his inauguration ceremony.
He seems set to do great things, and has done much for morale already, and not only for the US.

I wish him good luck in the role he has taken, and he seems set to try his hardest to tackle it all.

I'm glad he survived the ceremony.

Lol. Well my parents were discussing this.. If Tony Blair had Barack Obama instead of Bush then he could have achieved a lot more, and worldy affairs as whole may have been somewhat more pleasant. His first years showed as a really competent PM doing for the UK much of what Obama is doing now (though Obama takes the cake as far as scale goes). The problem is that Blair had Bush, and was scared not to follow Bush in the war and effectively the whole foreign policy. Which sucked...
And Gordon Brown does not offer the same qualities that Blair did...

Aside from that, I'm so happy we've finally got our favourite President ready to tackle the world's problems with the rest of the leaders. A brilliant decision made by the U.S. I hope he does us proud. I haven't a bad word to say about him, but I can see that he's going to do a lot of great things for the world.

I'm so happy that Barack is our president! Him and his family bring a nice, normal, human face to the White House. He made a good point in his speech today that it's not just the government that can be relied on in times of need, but in fact our entire country's workforce. We all need to pull together and work our asses off to bounce back. It's how we do so that depends on what the president and his administration do for us. It's a finally a good day to be American again.

The guy mustve been pretty scared at his ceremony thing. With all these white supremacist groups out to get him and al quida over seas it must have been pretty intense. Fair enough the security detail would have been enormous but still it would be scary. Good luck to the bloke.

We got to watch his inauguration for the majority of the schoolday. I admit, it was very exciting. He's already starting to make big moves. Since yesterday, an emotion has been provoked in me... I am starting to feel, dare I say, proud to be American.

Now we've got to paint the white house black.
On a serious note, I think it's very moving that we now have an African American president. To see that America, for the most part, is no longer judging politicians by their race. Hopefully we'll have a female president one day soon to follow, as well.

That all was just blown out of proportion, I don't think he was in any real danger. Ya know, I used to think the same way, untill I thought about it after being lectured.... "KKK" would never kill him, because he IS our president. "KKK" is loyal to there country, doubtfull they would kill there leader. Although it is still argueable they would kill ihm, because he is a black man.

I doubt he thought of it at all to be honest, he has more to think about than some little WSG. He has to worrie about the country accepting him and all that, not saying anything that might get him hated and what not. He can't think about being shot or something, he is under more stress than just that thought, IF it even crossed his mind.

Well I'm pretty sure the entire basis behind the KKK, and the reasons for their race hatred, was because they believed that America was for white anglo-saxon protestants, originally, and that these were the true americans. Some more extreme KKK members or severely racist and extremist person living today, and I know they exist, will not be happy with him being president, as it goes against their ideal views on how the country should be run. It goes against how they feel the country should be run, on white values.
So give a lunatic with these views a gun and, if the security wasn't so tight, I'm pretty sure they'd take a chance on killing Barack Obama.
