Characters that piss you off.

Come on Kairi wasn't annoying, Rinoa was she annoyed the hell out of me, her attitudes were irritating.
 
Well,she was the only annoying from the KH series,but not to the same extend as Yuffie and Rinoa.
I gotta agree with you that saving Rinoa all the time is annoying and to imagine that I haven't played too much of FFVII,but I found Yuffie extremely annoying when she stole my materia and so uncute.
+Sakura from Naruto,I hated her when she was younger and more useless,now she's better.
Nero from the DMC4,not very much only the part that he has more missions than Dante and he's like a younger version of Dante who's trying really hard to look like Dante.But I enjoyed playing as him to tell you the truth.
 
Let's see...

Master Chief (Halo) - He is like a bad modernization of Duke Nukem when he hits out with cliché lines. The guy has zero personality. I play a game and I like to relate to the characters but Master Chief in Halo is just an avatar, nothing more. What pisses me off as well is the fact that Master Chief wears a helmet, right? Then why is his voice heard crystal clear? To top it off the name 'Master Chief' for your main protagonist is so original.

Playboy X (Grand Theft Auto IV) - He annoyed the fuck out of me as I hate cocky people. When it came to the decision I had no problem who I was going after despite his reward being good if I decided to take the other one out.

Cooke & Mack (Lost Odyssey) - Cooke and Mack are pretty much like proper children that they don't shut up and stop whining. Plus not to mention by their actions on the trian they put the whole party in jeopardy.

Cait Sith (Final Fantasy VII) - What's the point? Especially bringing him back. There's a little sentimental moment in the Temple of the Ancients only for another one to just pop up 2 seconds later and say "Hi! I'm Cait Sith No. 2". I'm sorry, what?

Midna (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess) - I know a lot of people find Navi from Ocarina of Time annoying but I thought she was awesome. However, Midna was an absolute bitch who gave you advice that meant fuck all. I remember at the final battle she said something as if it was a hint on how to beat the boss. I didn't quite understand her and the reason was because she was talking bollocks. Her advice certainly isn't the reason why I completed that game.
 
Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2. He's not really an annoying character as such, but thinking that you are playing as that guy instead of as the badarse gaming icon Solid Snake, should be enough to tick anyone off.

Also any female character in an RPG who was a pretty decent fighter in the game's combat system, but turned into a helpless little girl when some random villain's idiotic henchmen shows up to kidnap her. What the hell is up with that?
 
yuffie, when you first meet her and have to make sure you choose the right choices or else she will steal your money and plus when she stole my materia i was mad cause i save the game after that..played it the next day and went to some dungeon and got killed quickly

Lol. I hate her for the exact same reason.. Though i managed to survive after that.

I agree with that and I will have to say that Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 4 was even worse! My reasons are that although Raiden is annoying in MGS2 - That was his character, personality etc and it seems that Hideo Kojima didn't take the criticism too well and tried to make Raiden 'bad ass' in MGS4 to appeal to the fans, which has worked to an extent as I see people saying "OMG Raiden is Badass now, but you can't play him :(". However it basically destroyed Raiden's character and to me in MGS4, he isn't even that badass anyway. Just stupid. He claims he doesn't fear death then the next minute he is almost on his death bed. He comes back only to cut his arm off and somehow lose his other arms then try and take on a dozen of soldiers by using his sword in his mouth which sounds like a retarded thing to do and it turns out it is.

There was no need to change him. He was a little annoying in MGS2 but that is what made Raiden whereas he was suppose to have turned 'badass' in MGS4 but probably fell more towards the emo catagory.
 
Tidus (FF 10): His voice and overall character design just annoyed me from the start. Im not sure if it was the voice actor that really nailed it for me. Perhaps he sounds better in Japanese then English, but good God I really disliked him.

Vaan (FF 12): Now this guy I really wanted to beat into the ground. IMO not hero material at all. I liked the other characters more then him and he was meant to be the lead hero and to be honest I couldnt give a monkeys about him. Character design and voice were crap IMO.

Brother (FF X2): Damn sodding pervert! Nuff said!!

Elena (Grandia 2): As its been mentioned, not heroine material at all. Just got in the way a damn lot lol.

Maya (Legend of Legaia 2): Again, not heroine material. No voice to start off with due to her past, something happens and she gets her voice and confidence back, blah, blah, not arsed, etc ...
 
Toad (Original Mario series) - "THANK YOU MARIO! BUT THE PRINCESS IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE. -__-"

Sonic (Super Smash Bros. Brawl) - "SONIC'S THE NAME SPEED'S MY GAME!!! COME ON STEP IT UP!!! YOU'RE TOO SLOOOOW!! TOO EASY!! PIECE OF CAKE!!! GO!!!!"

Mayu (Fatal Frame II) - Not only was she completely worthless, but she also liked to wander off on her own so Mio (main character) had to get raped by every single ghost in the village in order to save her.

Scout (Team Fortress 2) - "SAY THAT TO MY FACE TOUGH GUY BONK"

Demoman (TF2) - "KA! BOOOOOOOM! KA! BOOOOOOOOOM! KA! BOOOOOOOM!"
 
FFX-2: Brother. Oh my gosh. Could there be a more retarded sexually confused character? He is the biggest sook and for the most ridiculous reasons. I don't think any girl would be into him and poor Yuna... I doubt she'd go for the whole incest thing.

FFX-2: Rikku. Far too jumpy and seizure-inflicting. I can't stand her and hate what she turned Yuna into in X-2 >_<
