Ahh come on. It says a lot when a lady looks amazing without the need to "put it out". But in regards to the Resident Evil films, I'm sure that's the only reason she's there, and the only reason the films have any appeal to anyone. :)

On another note, the last film I watched was Real Steel. An interesting take on knock 'em sock 'em robots. The kid was kinda annoying, but Hugh Jackman is a great actor (Don't go judging his acting on his performance in X-Men and Wolverine Origins. -_- )

And you get to see plenty of robots bashing each other in! And unlike the Transformers movie, Real Steel pulls it off so much better. It also has a much better story than that crap Michael Bay has been putting out. :monster:
 
Brave

Brave is about a Scottish girl called Merida who's a bit of a tomboy, she loves archery and pretty much anything that isn't what a princess should do. Her mother is strict and wants her to get married to a boy from one of the other clans. Ofc Merida doesn't want this so she and her mother get in a fight and she runs off into the woods where she finds a witch who casts a spell to change Merida's fate.

I wont really say anything else or it'd be spoilers but yeah, I really enjoyed this movie. I wasn't really interested in it at all to begin with because what I had heard about this movie wasn't that great. But i am glad i finally watched it.

The story is a bit weird but in the end it didn't matter because it was still a sweet and funny movie and I really liked Merida as a character even though she was a bit of a brat sometimes :ahmed: I don't usually like female characters. It was also good having a Scottish boyfriend because I got a lot of the Scottish jokes in it that I normally wouldn't have and i understood a lot of the language they used! Even the Doric haha.

It really was a lovely movie, the end even brought a tear to my eye...but I'm a bit of a movie sook lately, I used to be a hardarse :ahmed:

I'll give it an 8/10 :griin:
 
I've yet to see a Pixar film that I don't like. Although shockingly, being such a fan of those films, I haven't seen Brave yet! :O I do plan on watching it when I get a bit more time and cash though.

Speaking of Pixar films. This morning, I watched The Incredibles with the little 'un. Probably the coolest film ever. Definitely better than The Avengers. I mean, I must have seen this film at least two hundred times now and I'm still not sick of it. :monster:
 
Rise of the Guardians

I was really excited to see this movie from the Trailers. It looked like a kids movie that an adult could enjoy too, plus it was by Pixar so I had high hopes and...It didn't disappoint me at all. I loved everything about this movie. The characters were so much fun, Russian Santa, Aussie Easter Bunny. Everything was really fun for a holiday movie. The story was really good and made lots of sense. I wanna go back and see it again ;_; I was feeling really down today and this movie really lifted my mood :griin:
 
i've been wanting to see rise of the guardians. i thought it was going to be a bomb (which it sort of has been) but the little bits of it i've seen at work i've enjoyed. i'll hopefully get around to seeing it at some point.

it's not a pixar film though, it's dreamworks
 
The Hobbit, which was actually tremendously tedious! :ness: The story was stretched out far too much! :sad3: I really liked the opening, but far too many scenes were far too long; some scenes were so long, they prevented pace and tension.

I left the cinema, feeling as though I had seen Fellowship of the Ring, but with Bilbo and a few dwarves instead! It was not as good as The Fellowship. :lew: It was The Fellowship in draft form, without the good bits, and with lots of unecessary bits. The story followed the same basic format! :gasp:

Here is a summary of both stories. -_-
Gandalf appears and asks a hobbit to go on a journey.
After some hesitation, Bilbo/Frodo leaves the shire.
There is danger on the road.
There is a chase just outisde Rivendell.
Elves/Arwen save the day.
There is a meeting in Rivendell.
The party leave.
The party travel over the mountains, where they encounter fierce storms.
The party travel through caves and encounter trolls/goblins.
We see Gollum.
The party escape from the caves, after near-death.
The party run into more danger.
Whilst trying to fight valiantly, a prince almost dies/does die.
The party escape.
The party look on to their destination.

I honestly feel the film could have been 10 times better had Peter Jackson decided to make it into one movie. I have heard he is using The Silmarilion too...well great, but make ONE Hobbit movie and ONE Silmarilion movie. :gasp:

2/5. It pains me to say that. :sad3:

Oh shit haha I knew it was one of the two but I forgot which, it doesn't matter though because I like pretty much anything Dreamworks and Pixar.

Did it really bomb? That's a shame because I really, really enjoyed it :| It was obviously a bit childish because well... it's a holiday kids movie but I dunno I thought it was very charming and actually quite a sad and dark story :(

I assume most people already know what it's about, it was a very enjoyable action film that didn't get all bogged down in trying to explain time travel which was good. All the performances were very strong, and though it wasn't difficult to guess what would happen next it still kept me interested right the way through.

I thought the future guy's name was The Ringmaker not The Rainmaker, which would have made more sense considering he was closing loops
 
Cruel Intentions

The last time I watched this was probably when it first came out :wacky: I found the dvd in my collection last night so I decided I'd watch it tonight. This film really is a bit deranged and sad. I won't give too much away even though I highly doubt there are many here who haven't seen it, but it's about a guy who just uses women as conquests and his sister who is a bit of a head case...and a bet on the ultimate conquest for him. ...the ending is sad too. Ryan Phillipe and Reese Witherspoon were so cute though :( This movie just reminds me of that.

Uhh...I think I can really relate to this because I've been with at least a couple of guys who were pretty close derivatives of Sebastian...one being a dead ringer :wacky: I'm so glad I've never been swayed by either of them to do something I'd ultimately regret. I can really place myself with Annette.
 
In Bruges

I have never heard of the film before now but my dad was watching it last night and i ended up catching the last 25 minutes. but from what i saw i enjoyed it. i actually am intending to watch it again soon. it has three actors in which i actually enjoy watching on screen.

The Cabin in the Woods
2011

So I saw this on IMDB and it actually got a really good score for a Horror which got me really interested in actually seeing it. Then I started to read up on it and was getting a little put off by the idea of yet ANOTHER American horror story of teens going to stay at a cabin in the woods...well anyway, last night my friends came over and we decided to give it a go and I'm really glad we did.

It's directed by Joss Whedon, who directed Firefly and has Chris Hemsworth in it (the guy who play's Thor) and I am not really sure how to explain this movie without giving away the hilarious plot. It's kind of a comedy mixed with Horror, it takes the piss out of the usual American horror stories you see while still being really interesting and actually kinda scary! The make up is really cool, though I think i laughed more than I jumped...that's ok though because it was actually funny, not OMG this is so shit kind of funny.

Anyway, if you're looking for a really good horror give this one a go, you wont be disappointed at all. I can actually kinda see it becoming like a cult favourite down the line!
 
joss whedon only wrote the cabin in the woods. it was directed by drew goddard. i agree it was amazing though, i saw an advanced screening of it earlier this year without knowing anything about it. it's probably in my top 10 films from 2012, it was such a clever film

HAHAHA I always seem to get one thing wrong which you always pick out in my posts on movies :ahmed: Though it was definitely out in 2011 :ahmed: and i got confused because Joss Whedon's name is all over the cover and stuff so I just assumed he directed it :hmmm:
It would have been awesome to see in the cinema though, I wish i had heard about it sooner. The two guys in the lab were so funny.

I don't usually enjoy singing movies but this one was really funny!
I love Fat Amy. XD She's so daggy. >.<

I watched it again only a few nights after watching it the first time and just loved it all over again. XD

it was out this year :rage: it was released around the same time as the avengers
