Anime Your first Time?

My first anime was actually two animes xD

Basically i kept seeing two animes online and i really liked the look of them, at first i thought they were mainly for kids until i realised just how popular anime was between adults. Eventually after spying both animes online and one in the shops i decided to buy it outright and see what i thought. Of course i watched a episode of each it took me three days straight because i kept watching a episode of the first anime and then one episode of the second anime xD

The first anime was CHOBITS i liked the whole animation and concept around it and after seeing the first episode i fell in love with the characters and chi expecially she is just so vunreble. But the whole anime is very perverted which i suppose is why i find it so funny. :) the colours and unique characters that you meet throughout the anime also made me keep watching. To this day it is still one of my favourites.

The second anime was wolves rain, i simply ADORE this anime, due to watching the episodes i ended up buying the soundtrack xD. The characters are simply amazing they seemed to have every type covered. The sharp cold hearted character, the mistrusting but hopeful one, the too trusting one and the one who is hiding his true self and then of course the pure flower maiden. The other characters around it seemed to be brilliant as well they all worked so well together and the emotion throughout the anime is so strong.

The storyline also was what made me love it and i got so pulled in at the ending episodes i was crying my eyes out. not many animes can pull at your heart strings like that one and i suppose because im a shaman it touched me in more ways than one.

it was those two animes which has made me into the anime fan i am today.
 
My first anime was deffinetly Sailor Moon.
And to trust me I still adore that show and it can never be ruined by the filthy minds of thoose pervs out there on the internet.
Girls transforming into cute sailor costumes and use cutscene'esque attacks was everything to me as a child and I can even remember one day when I cried becouse I did not catch watching Sailor Moon.

Sailor Moon will forever be in my heart.

I remember seeing this one, but never finished it. xD I think this is the first anime series that I saw since Sailor Moon and DBZ childhood saga. It was actually fairly decent from what I saw so far, but I don't think I actually got into the storyline as much as I did with other animes after that. Still, I have to say Chi is one of the cutest anime girl I've seen. =]

Hmm, I'm intrigued. I've heard of the anime but never actually looked into it. From your description, it sounds like one of those epic anime that I might just enjoy thoroughly. I'm currently watching Inuyasha though so it'll have to wait until I finish the series. :)

I never imagined you as a pokemon fan. xD I watched a few episodes...couldn't get into it though. =/

As for me...hmm, pretty sure I already posted here once upon a time, but just in case, first animes were DBZ, Gundam, and Sailor Moon. Funny though, back as a kid, I never really labeled them as "anime". :hmmm: They were just those...really cool shows that made me excited. I'd actually consider Chobits as my first 'real' anime, but since I never actually finished the series, I'd have to say Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien would be the stepping stone as to why I even google anime titles nowadays. Simply fantastic - great storyline and use of drama. Really touched me. One of the main characters (Mitsuki) I can really relate to just based on her struggles, emotions, actions, and disposition. Her character traits has touched the realistic sense of things, something that I find quite rare for a female role in animes. It shows the flaws (although that's arguable) of her character and yet you can't help but reach out to her as well. The other characters were amazing as well. Definitely worth watching if you're into this kind of genre.


 
My first was a little old school - it was Doraemon. I've been watching it since I was 3 or 4... It's something most Asian kids grow up with, I think. Cute robot cats and gadgets FTW.
 
Aw man. I can't remember my FIRST one. But I'll list my first ones and see what you like.

Pokemon -- Been mentioned before, and it's a no brainer why I liked it. I prefer the old Pokemon over the new ones, but the new ones aren't bad, actually. By the way, one of my favorite Pokemon is Pidgeot (if that's how you spell it), Pidgey's final evolution stage (as I recall).

Doraemon -- C'mon. A mechanical cat from the future with an endless supply of gadgets on his front pocket? What kind of kid wouldn't love that?

DBZ -- You know it. This one (and that one game...oh yeah, "Kingdom Hearts" :) ) inspired me to become a fan fic author. Though I would love to show you my works, it would be kinda complicated. I never completed my first story, but I sure finished some sequels >.>

Dr. Slump (Spanish version) -- Just loved it. Sure, it's not appropriate for kids at all. But when I was growing up, I sure didn't mind.

Sailor Moon -- I was hooked temporarily. But my brother ripped on me for watching it, and since I was a kid i stopped watching it altogether. However, about 5 years later, I catch him watching it. Oh, fate. I sure love your work :)

Ranma 1/2 -- It's among my top list of CURRENT favorites. This is the kind of anime that actually sticks to you for life. Try it out. i highly recommend it.

My first was Sailor Moon on the USA network lol. I think it was on the action extreme team thing or something. That was so long ago.

Second would be Ronin Warriors and then Dragonball Z, then Dragonball.
 
Mine was Sailor Moon then pokemon :)

i watch one called mew mew power it is a bit like sailor moon but its animals instead of palnets :)

My first Animes were: Pokemon, Digimon, Shaman King, and One Piece.
Started watching anime when I was about 3

My first was Escaflowne on cartoon network when I was a young teen. I now have the boxset and bairly ever watch it now but when I do it brings back memories.

My secound was Inuyasha which I got up to episode 30 and never really got into it.

My third one was bubblegum crisis which I never got much into that one eaither because I never could watch it regularly
 
My first technically was Sailor Moon, but my first knowing what anime was would have to be either Princess Mononoke or Bubblegum Crisis. I don't remember which one came first, but I bet it was the chicken.
 
I remember as a young lass of about 3 or 4 watching Dragon Ball. I have vivid memories of sitting on the living room floor with my toast and watching Master Roshi. I also remember coming home from kindergarten and skipping of to my parents room (as it was the only unoccupied tv in the house) to watch Sailor Moon... and then not long after that, Pokemon.
 
My first was Neon Genesis Evangelion! It's still one of the best i've seen (in my opinion) as far as story and characters go. Asuka was my absolute fave character because looking back, I was exactly like her when I was an annoying teenager with major emo issues!
 
Mine was pokemon.I grew up with it and I gotta say If there were real pokemon, or any of the sort...I'd have to say that would be the best kinda life possible :P . Screw work when you can travel around with your best friends!
 
As long as I remember, my first animes that I've watched were Yaiba (animated series), Dragon Ball and Sailor moon. Yaiba and DBZ is one of my favorite and Sailor Moon??? Not that much (Little boy who enjoys action and fighting + girly anime = well, you know xD)
